The Black Riders
Chapter 14
The glimace under her heart.
Kaitlyn held on Angel for a long time and she then looked up and asked, “Angel, why do you side with BlackWing?” Angels’ eyes grew furious and she did her best to hold back her anger. Angel then looked down and fell to her knees, grabbing her ribs.
“ANGEL! What’s the matter?!” asked Kaitlyn worried.
Angel was breathing heavily and then blood started to pour from the side of her mouth. She struggled to reply, “Something is……throwing pressure on my-my body…..” She screamed in pain and then shadows whipped down trees and threw water from rivers up in the air.
A man came out of the leaves and laughed, “Wow, you can actually take that so much pain. I’m impressed BlackWing. Not only that, but in your condition of your body, you will be easily killed in the next match.” He was the very same man that looked just like Angel, the one who was watching her the first day.
Angel managed to get to her feet and summoned a certain power that formed into a shadow whip. She whipped it towards him and cut his face with one slash. Black blood poured down from his cheek. The man laughed and remarked, “You haven’t changed my dear.” He removed his glove that was covering a mark. “You pathetic little brat, why don’t you accept it?” Angel was in shock when she heard him say a sentence like that. It told her that he knew what BlackWing was telling her.
“I don’t….need to accept anything to defeat my enemies,” replied Angel as you stood straight and took in the pain without flinching. Kaitlyn grew nervous and stepped back. Angel glared at the man deeply and then her voice changed to a more demonic snarling voice, “Why would I bother to waste my time with a loser like you?” She grinned as she raised her neck higher.
He smiled and slowly answered, “Since I’m the only one who knows your little secret and can break the binding spell on BlackWing.” He took out his shadow sword and charged at Angel. She didn’t move or anything. “I WILL RELEASE HER!” shouted the man as he raised his sword to her heart and plunged it deep into her body. Kaitlyn gasped for a second.
Angel looked at the wound and asked, “What is someone who doesn’t have a heart?” Her eyes were soft and noticing as she looked into the other mans eyes.
He answered, “You….are….a distance lost monster that has lost her own way to see what’s important and what’s not.” He took out his blade and turned walking away. “You didn’t fight me back, I’m impressed you hold self-control but in the arena there is nothing known as self-control. Just pain and suffering,” he stated coldly.
Kaitlyn ran to Angel and stared at her as she teared blood from her eyes. When Angel looks up, everything is gone and all she can see is an empty black space with flames. BlackWing appears behind her and remarks, “You little fool. How pathetic can you become? How low will you go to do something that is completely useless? Why do you protect him and that human girl?”
Angel stares blankly at her hands and falls to her knees replying in a shaken voice, “I….don’t want…..to be…..this….”
Blackwing grabs her neck gently and whispers in her ear, “You love him don’t you?” She places her fingers down her back and sinks her teeth into her neck. Angel flinches and swallows hard. “Then accept what I have given you……..it’s the only thing you can do to protect them……and save your brother,” stated BlackWing as she released her teeth from Angels’ neck. Angel then closes her eyes and exit’s the plane. Kaitlyn is dragging her to the lake to wash her wound.
“You said it wasn’t going to be easy but I’m whiling to do so sister,” she spoke to herself as she started to wash Angels’ chest.
Shadows appeared with Lloyd and Kaitlyn quickly reacted and pulled out her sword, “STAY BACK!” Lloyd laughed and put his hands up, “Sorry, we startled you but we are here to see how -” Lloyd sees Angel clinging to her heart and tearing in the water as she sat on a rock. Shadow dragged Kaitlyn away to help him find a herb to heal infections and they ran off. Lloyd on the other hand starred at Angel almost feeling her pain. He walked slowly up to her and kneeled beside her.
“What do you want?” she asked harshly.
He lowered his eyes to meet hers’ and he replied, “I want to help you…I want to be by your side no matter what it costs…..I will hear you out and protect you. She clenched her teeth together and quickly glomped Lloyd and started to cry. He held her close to him and kissed her softly upon the lips quickly. Her eyes widen as she blushed with tears down her eyes. He smiled and said, “Don’t worry Angel. I’m here for you and always will be.” She smiled and rested her head on his chest.
Eclipse stood on a dragon as it softly flapped it’s wings in the air, “You will never survive Enjuee. I will kill you and the others.
BlackWing appears behind Lloyd and Angel grinning. “You will be mine Angel. I will get what I want."

The Black Riders
Chapter 13
BlackWing arrives
In the arena, the demons were going crazy to see a bloodbath. Angel then took off her robe. Although, her appearance we completely different. She wore blue ripped jeans, a black T-shirt with a jean vest over it. Her face had blue and red markings under the eyes and her hair was long a blue. December looked more closely from the audience and yelled, “YOU IDIOT!!! What does she think she is doing?!” Ivy tried calming her down.
Angel grinned and her teeth were sharp enough to rip through metal bars. She lifted her hand and her nails grew into large claws. She ripped open her other arm and poured blood and her claws. The other team laughed and one of the members mocked her, “Are we supposed to be afraid of you?!” The team laughed.
Angel replied, “You are sadly mistaken….” She smirked and then charged at one of the members. She was almost impossible to see. Until everyone knew the damage she has done. The team member was cut right in half and blood poured out everywhere. December got covered in blood because she was leaning over the railing.
“I hate her,” remarked December. Edward and Drake were cracking up laughing.
Angel then charged right in the middle of the other team members and jump up out of them as they were all cut into pieces and their blood splatter everywhere. Everyone was shocked and cheered. Angel licked the blood off of her hands and sighed, “What a waste of my time.” She walked back and picked up her robe. Tale peeked out from under the stage and announced, “THE DRAGON RIDERS WIN!!!” All the demons cheered for Angel. She walked out of the arena doom and followed a path to the river. Lloyd wondered what happened to her as he looked around.
“So, she finally got into it,” laughed Anastasia and she high-five Aura.
“What do you mean?” asked Aura.
“Well Angel isn’t his type of person to waste her time like this; I don’t even think that was Angel. Sounded and acted like BlackWing, although I could be wrong,” answered Anastasia.
The other team members came down and jumped them. “WE DID IT DUDE!!!” cheered Ace and he hugged Lloyd.
Ivy looked and remarked, “Don’t get cocky now. We still have a way to go and the rest of these battles won’t be easy since we will have to fight two more if one team goes against another.” Ivy smiled and laughed.
December was trying to get all the blood off of her with a piece of cloth, “SHE SUCKS!!” They then left to arena and went to their rooms. Angel wasn’t there. They didn’t really mind. They relaxed and started to play card games. Lloyd on the other hand was worried and had an odd feeling something is coming near with a powerful aura. He then left in search of Angel.
By the river, Angel was cleaning her wound in her arm that she had to create in order for the attack to work before. Her appearance went back to normal. Then she heard a twig break and she turned quickly due to reflexes. A young woman stood there smiling. Angel didn’t have a clue who she was. The young woman walked to Angels’ side and kneeled beside her. She was beautiful and had long pink hair and green eyes; she was wearing a red and white kamono and had a sword on her side. She had her hair picked up in a bow and she asked, “Are you…..BlackWing?” Angels’ eyes widen and she turned away.
She then answered, “Yes, what may I do for you?” The young girl laughed and place her hand on Angel’s arm.
“My name is Kaitlyn.,” she smiled and tilted her head, “I was looking forward to meeting you. I want to join your team.”
Angel eyes widen and she lowered her head, “I can’t put a human in danger, I’m sorry but this is not for you.”
Kaitlyn grabbed her arm and begged, “Please BlackWing, I came to help and to train under your teachings, PLEASE!”
Angel replied, “My name……is Angel. If you join you stay behind me and no heroics.”
Kaitlyn smiled and hugged Angel. Angel then hugged back with astonishment. AThough Lloyd was in the background watching and hearing every word. He then laughed and walked away, “Maybe….she really is a good person.”

The Black Riders
Chapter 12
First Day
"We will determine the fighters by rolling a pair of dice with each of the teams fighters on them," announced Tale, "now, may I please have the team leaders step forward." Angel stepped forward and so did the other team leader. Angel was still very tired and she concealed her face from everyone. She reached out her hand and held a die in her hands. It looked cracked and old but had symbols on them instead of names. Each symbol had a meaning and most demons didn't have symbols on themselves.
"I'm glad Angel got up finally," remarked Lloyd, "but, we don't have symbols on us, how would she know who is who?"
"We do, she placed it on us a while ago. I have the light symbol which is known as "The Morning Star."Aura has the wind symbol which is known as "The Under Crest." Angel has the symbol of darkness which is known as "The Never Ending." You have one like hers but not the same, if it was the same then there would be a bit of a problem," answered Anastasia as she smiled.
"Oh..." remarked Lloyd.
Tale looked confused at Angels' die and asked, "where did you get this ma'am?!" "Have you fought in these battles before?"
Angel sighed and replied, "We use my die for my team and yes I have fought in these battles before but my name remains unknown...understand Tale?"
Tale jumped back and nodded her head yes. She took Angels' die and the other team leaders die.
"Get ready to fight against me little brat," remarked the other team leader and he laughed.
The team leaders walked off the stage.
Tale quickly announced, "The team leaders always go against each other but since now that the rules have changed...The Dragon Riders team is short by one player. These rules have just been changed and will stay that way for this year’s battle. I'm sorry for this."
Angel growled at her words and cursed these rules. Lloyd looked surprised and then realized if they are one player short then they will have to have another teammate fight twice. He bent his head and sighed.
“OKAY LETS ROLL!” yelled Tale as she threw the dice in the middle on the battle field. After the silence they stopped. The first match would be Aura against Reka. "AURA AND REKA, please step up and begin the fight!"
Aura charged up on the battle field and took out a huge fan and hit the ground with it sending out shockwaves and using the pressure of the wind to knock Reka off balance. Then Aura jumped high and did a flying kick at Reka. Reka hit the ground with a lot of force. "Hmph, I guess you aren't tough after all!" remarked Aura as she laughed.
Reka stood up straight and raced after Aura at a quick speed. She knocked Aura on the ground and slammed her elbow in Auras' stomach. Aura coughed and pushed Reka off and punched her in the face. Aura ending this quickly by doing a surprised attack on Reka. She jumped in the air and did a double team move confusing Reka. She then used her fan and knocked it right over Reka hide. Reka was out cold after that. Aura laughed and giggled.
"Wow, well that was a great hand to hand fight! Aura wins this match!" announced Tale. Aura pulled Reka off the battle field and then returned to her own.
"I DID GOOD RIGHT ANGEL?!" asked Aura.
Angel lifted her head and answered, "not bad, but we have four more teams to go against and the object is not to get cocky."
Aura bowed her hand and Angel rubbed it in a funny manner. Lloyd laughed and then sat on the ground.
In the far right of the arena a man with a mask over his face and laughed, "This ought to be a blast! I can't wait till I can fight you Miss Angel BlackWing....using your nickname Moonlight in such battles is pathetic. I'll show you how we demons can really be!"
Angel heard his laughing and turned her head to look him straight in the eyes. He was wearing all black just like her and they looked almost the same but with great difference. She grinned and thought to herself, "I guess the friendly Angel is gone for now....if it's BlackWing you want, you'll have her and her teeth in your neck!"
Angel laughed and announced, "LET'S GET THESE FIGHTS DONE WITH; I'M MAKING THE RULES AROUND HERE FROM HERE AND NOW!" She pointed to the other team and remark, "If you think your team is so high and mighty then you just have to prove it to me by a 4 on one battle! I'm tired of child’s play!" Tale was shocked and so was everyone else. Someone from the audience remarked, "YEAH! SHOW US BLOOD!"
Angel grinned and walked in the middle of the battle field, "these battles don't have rules to them and we demons make the rules. Let's have a bloodbath now wannabees!"
The other team grew greatly angry at her actions and laughed following her orders. Angel was enjoying every moment. She won't rest until she gets what she wants.
Since now there are only 4 more teams to face, what will Angel and Lloyd do when they reach the last two teams? What will become of them both? And who is this mysterious man that wants to fight Angel so badly?
