   Rain and Storm
Here's my newest poem, written after hours of listening to Rain and Storm from the Jukebox.

"Rain and Storm"

the rain has come, with the storm,
a wall of water, puddles form;
strings of trees that shiver, shakes,
the ground stays dry in their wake.
rocky beach grows wet sheen,
rain washes the world clean;
down it falls, down it falls,
down falls rain in solid walls.

sun may peak behind the clouds,
though the thunder protest loud.
rain and storm ne'er will cease
when sky does open and release.
lightning echo, lightning flash,
thunder rumble, thunder crash;
down rain falls from the sky,
water sent from up on high.

clouds do crowd making night,
blocking out the ever light,
grey and ugly, dark and drear,
day is far and dusk is near;
chanting heard inhills afar
where the Celtic believers are.
rain and storm, storm and rain,
letting go what skies retain.

shadowed skies, foreboding glare,
blocking sun's searing stare.
heavy clouds, heavy rain,
thudding down upon the plain;
crashing, flooding, falling, falling,
for eternity misery is calling;
heavy wind, heavy rain,
cutting out what light remain.

the rain will fall forever more,
stopping sun at sky's door,
clouds hold back the light alone,
and onward does the thunder drone.
lakes do fill and rivers flood,
taking dirt and making mud;
coating nature head to toe,
drowning all that wants to grow.

the world once green, now is grey,
dusk is overtaking day;
stones alive and plants are dead,
aching nature's shaking head.
