Hate Ch.4 pg.31

Nona whimpered in fear, and slid back a little farther away from the ogres.

The shelf that they were on began to creak and arch. Kayne flipped over on his back and held Nona tightly in his arms, covering her head, because he knew it was going to collapse. Finally the shelf collapsed. Kayne was having trouble breathing from the dust and the heavy weight that the wood had made. .Kayne sat there quietly as the Ogres searched for him. He kept his breathing low and did not move a muscle.

“I smell a human, “said one of the Ogres. They lifted up wood in search for what they thought was a spy.

Kayne could hear the wood being moved. Finally he saw light, then an Ogres face.

“Here he is!”

Kayne pushed the remaining wood off and darted to the door. “Chord let’s go!” Kayne yelled.

Chord heard his yell and ran out from the aisle, and said, “Why?” Then he saw the Ogres chasing after Kayne. And he knew why. Chord pulled out his chain whip and pulled down one of the shelves blocking the Ogres. Kayne and Chord ran out of the library. But Chord had an idea, He rapped his chain around his shoulder and pulled out the scythe, he went to the pillars in front of the library and started hacking away at the pillars. After a couple whacks he started to crack it, He moved on to the next one, just getting the two closest to the entrance. Once Chord had gotten both of the pillars he ran back to Kayne. When the ogres had gotten past the first distraction they came busting out of the entrance. With their broad shoulders they collided with the cracked pillars and with the force that they pushed on them, the pillars collapsed. Chord looked back and smiled. And as he was about to turn around the Ogre threw the debris that had fallen on him of and madness.
