HATE Ch.4 p. 34
slowly opened the door. There lies his mother, bloodied and wide-eyed. Kayne screamed.
Kayne awoke to a complete darkness. His breathing became heavier, Kayne remembered his mother when she was happy. He could remember the smile on her face. Even though he was only four it is the only memory he had to hold on to. Tears started to fall down his face. "I'm sorry I couldn't save you mom."
Out of nowhere a voice said, "What did I tell you about crying boy."
"Shutup Chord." Kayne rolled over and went to sleep."
Kayne awoke ready and refreshed for the day ahead. He gathered all his things and got ready for anything that might be thrown at him. Once he had gathered all his things he looked over to Nona. She was sound asleep. He walked over and as gently as he could he picked her up and carried her. There was no sign of Chord anywhere. “Couldn’t you have left a note or something?” Kayne started out of the room having no ideas where he was going. As he walked down the corridors and glanced into every room he passed, he was amazed at what these people had made from scratch. He noticed that every person that passed him was different. Some looked homeless, some were elves, even some which looked like elves but had very different features. He even saw goblins, which did not care who they passed or met. As a matter of fact no one seemed to have anything against anyone of any race or color. He came along a shop that had anything you would need on a journey, herbs, swords, and shields, even armor. Kayne was interested in what they had to offer. He walked in and looked at the large variety of things to choose from.
“What took you so long boy?”
Kayne looked at the person that spoke, it was Chord. “Couldn’t you have left a messaged or something?”
