   mmmmmmmmhhehehehehehehahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I submited my first drafts for the JET thingy...the embassy person was so impressed!!!(Though I thought my drawings sucked...)
I just have to work on the noodle slurpping etiquette and in addition I got 2 more tasks to do!!! te-he^-^
now for the bad news...piano...
I've memorized my piece, but everytime play my piece at my teacher's house, I play horribly!! >_
Here's some more Japanese manners and etiquette...and it you didn't see the other japanese manners and etiquette look at the previous post...it's very interesting!^o^

-Thou shalt NOT BE LATE for appointments.
-There is no custom of "Ladies First". (I've always hated that "Ladies First" thing >_ -Avoid excessive physical and eye contact--forget the back-slapping,
prodding, and pointing directly at someone with your finger (use
your hand to point, if you must).
-Japanese often use silence for communication as much as speaking.(example: At a meeting and someone is presenting, a japanese person might close their eyes and look as if they're sleeping, but they're not...it's the way they process things into their mind...)
-Do not chew gum when working or in other formal situations.(At my uncle's wedding, almost everyone was chewing gum!lol^o^ I was in da Philippines...)
-When Japanese start work at 9 AM, they START WORK at 9 AM.
-Avoid lots of jewelry or very colorful clothes when going to work.
-White-collar Japanese typically leave the office only after their superiors have done so. Do not expect someone to be instantly free once the official business hours are over.
-Exchanging business cards is de rigueur in formal introductions. You should extend your card to the other person with both hands, right side up to them (upside down to you). You receive cards with both hands also. Be sure to look at the card and not just pocket it. Never put it in your pants pocket and sit on it in front of them.
-It is polite to put "-san" after anothers name, or "-chan" after a young girls name, or "-kun" after a boy's name, but NEVER use these after your own.
-Do not scream about why nobody speaks English, why there aren't
5 different varieties of a product you want, or why workplaces or
restaurants are filled with chain-smokers. The "health thing" is
not big here yet.
-Avoid shouting loudly at someone to get their attention--wave, or go up to them.
-If you have to blow your nose, leave the room, or at the very least try to face away
from other people--and use a tissue--not a handkerchief!
-Don't wear tattered clothes outside, nor socks with holes when visiting someone.
-On escalators, stay on the left side if you plan to just stand and not climb them.
-Japan has no tradition of making sarcastic remarks to make a point,
nor "Bronx cheers" or "the Finger" -- avoid using them.

   ^.^

Today I had a Spanish placement test...it...was...soooo....EASY!!!I was the first one to finish!! Everyone stared at me like I was crazy!!hehehe^o^

Scince I don't have much to say about my life, here's part of the list of Japanese etiquette and manners that the JET progam is teaching:

-It is impolite to eat or drink something while walking down the street.
-Do not bite or clean your fingernails, gnaw on pencils, or lick your fingers in front of others.
-In Japan it is impolite to pour your own drink when eating with others--you pour your companion's drink and your companion pours yours.
-If you don't want any more to drink, leave your glass full.
-It's customary to say "Itadakimasu" before eating and "Gochisosama deshita" after eating, especially if you're being treated, as well as "Kanpai" for "Cheers".
-When sharing a dish, put what you take on your own plate before eating it.
-Do not make excessive special requests in the preparation of your food, nor wolf it down.
-Do not use your chopsticks to skewer food, move dishes around, and NEVER dish out food to another using the same ends you just ate from--use the top ends.
-Don't use your chopsticks to point at somebody.
-Don't leave your chopsticks standing up out of your food. (Japanese people can be superticious and having chopsticks stading up out of your food is a remblance of the inscense used in funerals=bad luck)
-It is normal in Japan to pick up your rice or miso soup bowl and hold it under your chin to keep stuff from falling.
-Don't leave a mess on your plate-fold your napkins neatly.
-Don't take wads of napkins, sugar packs, or steal "souvinirs" when you leave a restaurant.
-Do not put soy sauce on your rice--it isn't meant for that.
-Do not put sugar or cream in Japanese tea.
-There is no real custom like "help yourself". Wait until the host offers something.
-If you must use a toothpick, at least cover your mouth with your other hand.
-Be aware that in Japan it is normal to make slurping sounds when you're eating noodles.(it shows your complements to the cheif)
-In Japan, it's good (in commercials, anyway) to make loud gulping noises when drinking. Expect to hear lots of it in ads.
-It is normal to pay a restaurant or bar bill at the register instead of giving money to the waiter/waitress. There is no tipping in Japan.
-It's considered rude to count your change after paying the bill in a store or restaurant, but the Japanese themselves do give it a cursory lookover.

   ...-_-...>_

Hello!!! At the library again...
I don't have much to say to I'll leave you with I question I've had in mind...
What is your idea of the best job ever?

Mine would be a rock star. Your get to work with your friends and music! People look up at you, you and your music! Though it might be hard to compete with other musicians and know where to invest your money, you can just get so much in return. The great intense feeling of the crowd as you walk on stage...the music running through your system as your breath of life...and seeing your dream rise into a huge light of success...
if you don't reach fame...you have music and your friends to fullfill your life...

enough of my yidda yadda...what about you?

~The Beginnning~

This sucks...I'm going to be stuck in the library for the rest of my summer until I go the Philippines and Japan in August..hopefully I'll finish all my work sooner^^

So back to the Filippino Festival I was talking about yesturday. It was GREAT! It was the day when the weather shot up to the highest temperature we had in months. It give the festival a more Philippine enviroment! Though I'm not a fan of hot weather, I managed to survive.
I remeber being so excited as I walked my way to the festival. It was at the turn of 6th street when I was back at the Philippines. Filippinos everywhere and the great smell of filippino food filled the air...mmmmm^_^. I stuffed myself with BBQ(the best BBQ I've ever tasted!! So juicy!^o^), sago(I never knew it tasted so great!), and halo-halo(the best dessert ever!!). By the time I wanted mog-mog, there was a long line for each vendor!!
After eating came the entertainment. The dances came first.(the pics below were not from yesterday...I didn't bring my digital camera! grrr..I'm so mad at myself>_<. Oh yea,for those who are not filipino, you don't have to read this...you might get bored. just go to the part marked with a "*")

The first one I saw was the "Maglalatik." This dance is danced by men who wear coconut shells and knock on them to make an awsome ryhthm.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Then I saw the "Pandanggo sa Ilaw." These kids were about my age and were so good at this!! This is danced with candles on their hands and heads. There was this one time when they put the candles in a handkerchief sack and spun it around!! The handkerchief never caught on fire!!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The cutest dance was the "Itik-itik" Itik means "duck" So this dance are about ducks!!^o^ the dance imitates how it walks with short, choppy steps and splashes water on its back while calling to its mate. It was so cute when the little boys and girls would pass the large flower to their mate, with their mouths!^^
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Then came the "Sakuting" This song had an awsome beat! I wish I knew how to dance filippino dances!!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Last came the dance, "Tinikling." It's a dance when the dancers imitate the tikling bird’s legendary grace and speed as they skillfully play, chase each other, run over tree branches, or dodge bamboo traps set by rice farmers. They make dancing between bamboo sticks that move contastanly!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

*After the dances came the parade it was great parade! I'm not going into much detail so you won't get bored, but my favorite group would be the "Young Filipiono-American Group." They were so lively and made me proud to be one^o^

The rest the day's entertainment was the music.(Oh, wait I also saw the filipino martial art! I'm going to enroll in a class! It looks so cool!^o^) They were all American songs and having it was quite funny to have filipinos sing them^^(one thing you should know about filipinos, is that we love kareoke!) Though some parts seemed out of tune as some guy sang Kelly Clarkson's "Since I've Been Gone," it think he sounded better than her(I hate Kelly>_>)

It's odd to be up so early in summer vacation! I'm getting ready to go to the Filippino Festival!!! If I'm lucky, I might be able to wake up my family, have them get ready for 1 hour(it takes them a million year to get ready) and then we might be able to get there on time!! O sige Hagang dito nalang....I'll tune you in later!^o^

   Last Day

Though i hate my class because of their obnoxious behaviour, I realized how they were like family. It was fun to watch this circus run everyday...
Enough of that stuff...not such an interesting topic. So we got in line to for the march into the Church where our graduation was to take place. Everyone was so excited as the jumped up and down in front of the camera. I just couldn't believe this would be the last night...The music began and we marched in. I stopped at the first pew(I'm so short >_>)and then the mass had begun. It went by so quickly and then the next thing I know I got my diploma. I felt like crying when I heard my teacher's last words. But I said to myself I'll just look weak and returned to my seat. Seeing everyone getting their certificates of departure was like the longest good-bye ever. At the end we watched a power point with pictures of our whole class from the beginning until the end. We then marched out of the church and everyone, instead of going to the reception where we were suppose to, we stayed at the sidewalk and hugged each other goodbye. It was the last of tears(I didn't cry, don't want to spend my last moments unhappy!^-^) as we went on to our special room full of pizza, candy, music, and goody bags!!!^o^ I then followed my class back to the school. I thought we were just going to look back at the empty hallways, but in came the finale trick of the circus. They trashed the place, turning the desks over and rolling the "Golden Chair"(the comfortable chair with wheels) down the stairs. After that I left with the smart group, not wanting to be any part of it. I said my last goodbye to some teachers. I was still like a ghost to my class so there was no need to say goodbye to them. Though I'm still going to miss my second family.

I think I'm going to stay with this layout for awhile... i need time to practice for my recital and my drawings^.^

   As Days go

I got the job!!Well...I'm not getting paid to draw...but anyway!!Yay!! I'll show you guys my pictures for the JET progam when I'm done.

Besides this JET program incident, yesterday I had to say goodbye to my 2nd grade buddy...she looked so sad to see me leave...awww...so to cheer her up I made her paper cranes that she really enjoyed showing off^^

Today might not have been the greatest day to go to King's Dominion...it was raining all day until the time it was time to leave. What horrible timing!! All my clothes were drenched even if before we got to the water park and found out it was closed because it was raining. What kind of excuse is that? We're soaked up anyway!!
Let me start from the beginning of my day in the amusement park, King's Dominian. It started out, not so great as I chose a random group to follow...little did I know it was the anti-rollercoaster group...What I complished in this group was riding the swings(the swings the spin around) 3 times!!! then I road in another ride just like that 2 times!!! I kinda ditched that group and went with the rollercoaster group, but joined them in the middle of a search for the rest of the members. After 30 mins we found each other and went on a rollercoaster!!Yay!!! This ride was called the "Rebel Yell" I've been on the backwards one, but that part was closed today. I never relized how much scarier it was going forward!!! I just hate and love the steep part of a rollercoaster^o^. My friend said I was weird because I laugh instead of scream...^^.
Instead of explaining every ride I've been on, I'll just tell you the best ride ever!!!!!!!!! It's called, "Flight of Fear"...the line was long, but the wait was so worth it!!!! This rollercoaster was in the dark and you weren't sure it it was going in a loop or what, you just went everywhere!! It's super fast!!! You know when something goes really fast making that noise of somewhat breaking the sound barrier, that is was exactly happened(well I might be a little sarcastic here, but I could here it zoom off into the dark^^) I was so scared hearing this noise. I was shaking! When it finally started, it felt as if we were on a bullet!! This expirence was the best!

The day of amusement ended on our 2 hour bus ride back to school as we watched a movie(I don't know the name)and I listened to some AKFG(and this time I brought 8 batteries with me just in case the music of my life dies out on me^^)...

   Final Final

I'm done with my finals!!!I finally get to rest for a least a day of two, then I better get going on my pictures for the Japanese Embassy, my piano recital, my summer reading, and life...
I found out that I'm going to be drawing anime drawings for the pictures for JET!! Phew...I thought they'd have me draw real people. Not that I'm not good at drawing portraits, but I just find it too hard sometimes...
Lets see...what happened today...oh yea!! Today we had a Student Awards(where students get awarded for their acedemics, leardership, service, etc.) I got awarded for highest achievement in English/Lit and in art...the two subjects I'm not going to need much help in my future jobs...why couldn't I be good in math...
On Thursday I'm going to King's Dominian(an amuesment park) I'm not a fan of rollar costars with super steep drops. I feel like I'm going to die! I've never been on the Berserker(the boat that sways side to side until it is completely upside down) Has anyone been on it? Is is okay for people afriad of heights??
I can't wait to what they call "graduate" from 8th grade on Friday...I'd call it a ceremony for changing schools! What I call a graudation is when I graduate from College!!!
dat's all!
Zaijan!!!

...I'm thinking of changing my layout soon...any color sugguestions?
