Keep it together, guys.
Another long day. What can I expect? A recent classmate of mine showed me some of her drawings. They were very simplistic, but very good and full of some really original humor. I was kind of inspired. I drew little pictures of what I call "cartoon me," (my avatar is basically what I look like). Some of the drawings were very strange, but I was actually pretty content.
Which brings up an interesting point I discovered about myself. When I hold a pencil, my hand shakes. Why? Probably from nervousness. To prevent it from shaking, I keep it moving. Drawing involves a great deal of precision, which my hand cannot take. Writing, however, is easier because words all look the same: just letters. My pace isn't hindered. This is one reason why I write instead of draw; that and I like creating imaginative worlds without a ton of detail. I love drawing, but I also love writing, and writing is just easier for me. ^^
It seems that someone inspired me to consider a cosplay costume that I wouldn't normally do. With one of my friends going as Choji, I bounced around the idea of going as a less-than-main character for the next convention I visit. Shikamaru might do just fine...
Song.
"The Failsafe" Misery Signals (Mirrors)
This song has a TON of metal yelling, but I found the melody extremely good. The whole thing just sounds great altogether. This is a new single from the band.

Umbrella Chronicles?!
Well, it's gonna be a long week. Maybe I'll get lucky and something exciting will happen.
I learned a few things about RE4 that are pretty interesting. Quite a few plays on words, like Dr. Salvador and Bella Sisters. Apparently Resident Evil is coming to the Nintendo Wii with Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. This one should include Leon, Ada, and some classic characters including Claire, HUNK, and Mr. Punch himself, Albert Wesker. Just another reason to get excited. We should also see some more innovation with the Controller. I don't know how the folks at Capcom can improve RE4, but then again, I really shouldn't doubt Capcom.
Song.
"Take Me" Papa Roach
A great song from one of the nu-metal bands. Although their new album is ready, I really like this song.

Pro Mode is difficult, friends
Well, I eventually completed the cabin. It was definitely more difficult this time around. I don't think I could dislike those Las Plagas anymore, but then, watch them just appear in herds in Mercs. I died four times facing the second Gigante, and failed the mission three more times, that is when I was actually counting. Quite a hassle. But in all honestly, I still can't get enough of this game. If you haven't played RE4, please check it out. It's been out for over a year, and to top it off, it rocks.
Song, go.
"Voices" Saosin (Saosin)
Quite a story with this band. I just heard about them online and decided to take a listen. Though these guys have been hovering around their EPs for a while, their self-titled debut album, I must say, sounds kind of generic. However, generic doesn't mean bad, as in the case of Saosin. This band has a great sound and instrumentals. Here's a single from their self-titled debut album, which is definitely a great album.

Return to RE4
All Hallow's Eve is approaching quickly, a day where millions of children frolic with the spirits and gather offerings of treats from kind celebrations. Ah, I remember Trick-or-Treating. Such a fun activity. But now, I no longer participate in that. Instead, I've decided to return to playing one of my favorite video games of all time: Resident Evil 4. Yes, I did get it on its launch day in 2005. Yes, I've completed the game, gotten all Mercs characters, and obtained all modes and weapons. Well, I still haven't completed Pro Mode, and I just returned to it today. The cabin battle is tough.
Here's a song for you all.
"Capricorn (A Brand New Name) 30 Seconds to Mars (30 Seconds to Mars)
This band has been getting a lot of attention lately, thanks to the success of their second album, and it's a good thing. 30 Seconds to Mars is an amazing band. Here's the first song of their self-titled debut album. The awesome instrumentals and Leto's vocals make it a true winner.

Weekend
I don't know why, but I desperately needed a weekend. I really did. Now I can take a much-needed break from all the whatever.
Today I drew some pictures that show simple interpretations of some possible events in my next story. I repeatedly tell myself that I cannot draw (which I really can't), yet I feel compelled to. I really do not want to spoil any scenes, but I always try to add some creativity in every piece of a story. Writing is my passion; I don't know what I'd do without it.
Here's today's song.
"Just Stop" Disturbed (Ten Thousand Fists)
A powerful single by the amazing metal band, full of strong melodies and lyrics. Enjoy!

Hmmm...quite strange...
AK is back! Well, not much happening. The weekend is looking mighty nice from here, and some relaxation would be greatly appreciated. I know I'm not the only person who thinks so. I'm looking to get a new piece of humorous fiction going. Wish me luck, because I tend to get pretty...um...inventive with some of the characters. ^^;
Here's today's Song.
"Absolute" Thousand Foot Krutch (The Art of Breaking)
Some classic nu-metal from a top-notch Christian band. Enjoy! ^^

Updating on time? Yup, he's actually on time.
Well, I'm quite happy that FictionPress is getting an upgrade. I'm even more happy that it's back up. I was getting kind of nervous. oo; It's great that the original fiction site is getting going again, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who thinks so.
As I assumed, Ms. Justine (mamma DX) is linking to Gaia. It is a great place, but I don't plan to leave the O. I like the blog capabilities here, and I think Gaia is better for communication and RPG systems. I'm not leaving the O; I mean, I did just get here. ^^
Here's today's SotD.

My personal favorite from the first album of one of my favorite bands. Great use of acoustics and amazing melodies make this one a winner. ^^

The Return
AK has returned after a lengthy two-day disappearance! Well, I never got the time to fix up the old MyOtaku page, so everyone had to wait. There was no new Naruto this week, so I'm a little bitter. Oh well. Here's a new song.
Song of the Day: "Fully Alive" Flyleaf
Beautiful lyrics, great melody, unique sound.
