Uh, I will not be posting anything new this morning, I'm afraid. I am currently at a friend's house because I spent the night here yesterday. However, when I get back later this afternoon, say about 12:30 to 1:00 or something, I shall have something new in my gallery for you all to see. ^^ Anyway, I shall talk some more maybe later, right now I need to go and get myself ready to leave for the church that my parnet's attend.

Late Stuff and Updates In My Life
Yeah, I know that I failed to update my gallery on both days of this weekend. However, as I am sure that most of you had noticed, The Otaku was down for a while. That explains why I was unable to update my gallery. However, because it is currently Labor Day weekend, I will have the two new pictures that I was going to post earlier in my gallery tomorrow morning. I'm sure that that should be perfectly fine with all of you.
:Sigh:
The previous week was not the best in the world for me and my friends at school. We lost someone close to us last week.
A good friend of ours accidently overdosed on depressants, and his parents found him dead in his room. We found out on Monday in the afternoon, but his death was not announced to the school until the next day.
The pain of the loss was numbing to all of us, before it began to burn painfully as the realization that we would never see his smile again began to sink in.
He was a dear friend and we miss, and love him still.

Akane's Happy Booster
Blah!
I start back to school on Thursday, the 10th. Meh, considering the fact that it's now my senior year should prove to make this year both stressful and exciting all at the same time. Stressful because of the ass I have to haul to make it through the year. Exciting because, after this year, I WON'T EVER HAVE TO GO BACK TO THAT SHIT HOLE EVER AGAIN!!! XD
WOOT! University of Alaska Fairbanks, here I come! XD
LOL, well, anyway, that little bit of info is not what my personal 'happy booster' for the week is. If any of you remember all of my previous posts that I had posted in the past around the time that school was almost back in session, you should know that Akane LOATHES the Alabama educational system.
The administrators are a bunch of jack-offs. >.< One MAIN reason why I can wait to get the hell out of here. That, and to not have to deal with that STUPID dress code. >.>
Anyway, that is why I am glad that I at least get an Anime related 'happy booster' before I have to return to the den of evil on Thursday. It's currently 1:46 AM here, so in about maybe 9 hours I will be going over to the high school with my dad to get my locker rented and stuff like that. Afterwards I'm going to Sam Goodys to get myself Kyo Kara Maoh! Disc 8, so that I have something great to watch before tomorrow.
That will be my REALLY happy day!
That's when I will finally get my package from AnimeCastle, filled with all the good stuff I ordered in order to spoil myself. X3

Okay, Some of You Noticed
CURRENTLY LISTENING TO: 'Robo Kiss' by W (Double You)
GENRE: J-Pop
Okay, some of you noticed this and even pointed it out to me quite a few times. Yes, BTBM "Behind the Broken Mirror", the old manga that I had started a while back, is not longer on my site. >.< Please, allow me to explain why.
I hated it...
Yes, it's true. I honestly felt that that story was going no where, even though it was only a few pages long. Sorry, if that disappoints you in anyway. Though, yes, the first page of it is still in my gallery. I decided to just keep that page of it because I liked how it came out. I simply changed the name of the title for it.
Another reason why I discontinued the story was because of the way it was drawn and the style it was drawn in.
I honestly want to get something published in my senior year this year, but, in order to do that, I had to take in consideration of one thing.
I'm Korean.
Meaning, instead of the style that I was doing BTBM in (The traditional Japanese style of 'right to left' reading) I need to do it the opposite way. The Korean manga, or Manwha, way. ('Left to right' with Korean sound effects and perhaps culture.)
Need to be true to my roots you know? ^^; Also, since Manwha is now taking up almost over half of the graphic novels out there, it should be no problem for me to try and get readers. ^^;
LOL, anywho, that is basically the story. I spent all summer trying to come up with a story for what I want to try and get published, and it wasn't until about a month ago that I finally came up with an idea. The idea just kinda came to me when I was daydreaming and listening to a song by Morning Musume.
The story I finally came up with is a kawaii boys love story. (Another growing favorite genre in the graphic novels department.) It's called "Strawberry Pie", named after the song by Morning Musume that I had been listening to. XD
It's basically a Fantasy/Romance/Comedy story. I even have almost all the details worked out for it. ^^ I may have pictures of the four main characters up in a few weeks as well so that you can all see what they look like. ^^

Well, it's currently 2:28 in the morning here at my place and I'm not tired, but I am bored out of my mind. I'm one hell of a night owl, but a night owl is useless if he/she has nothing to do, or no one to hang out with. *Sigh* It's times like this that I REALLY miss my friend Jamie. Before she moved back to Texas, she and I always went out at night, staying out until God knows when. Oh well, I can't wait to see her again when I go to AWA (Anime Weekend in Atlanta) in September. ^^ That is something to look forward to. ^^
LOL, I guess another reason I am still not tired is because I usually don't go to bed until almost 5 in the morning. The summer vacation can do that to me, you know? ^^
Meep! Now I am simply babbling as Mark complains that I should go to bed a little earlier tonight. I have to go to an eye appointment later this morning for my yearly checkup. Though, I already know what is going to happen. *rolls eyes* My eye sight will have gotten even worse because all I ever do is stare at the computer screen. *glares at glasses* I really wish I had my old sight back, but I'm not going to go get lazer surgery like my brother though. O.o The thought of someone messing with my EYEBALL makes me squirm. >.<
*Sigh* Well, Mark is nagging me now. Saying that I need to come to bed, which I should. >.> *snuggles with Kurama plushie*
Oh, speaking of Mark, I have a little treat for everyone this weekend, well everyone who is a fan of the Mark x Akane and Kurama x Kochou pairings anyway. (I'm actually surprised by how many people like the Mark/Akane pairing. I'm not even sure how it got started. O.o LOL, though, Kurama/Kochou seems to be pretty popular too. ^^) Anyway, after listening to a bunch of Techno/Trance and Techno/J-Pop songs by people like: DJ Italian Flip, DJ Fierce, and Smile.DK, I have been inspired with many new, cute love scene ideas. Just for all you fluffy, mush, and goo lovers! XD
Like always, the first few pics will be posted on Saturday and Sunday. (Mainly because I ALWAYS update my gallery on those two days ^^)
LOL, anyway, Mark is getting a little impatient with me and now I just wanna snuggle with my pillows and my Kurama plush so I shall end this blabbering post here for the time. Later!

Some People Sink A Little Too Low...
I'm pretty sure that everyone may have seen that picture of Naruto for the July Contest, right? I honestly had thought it was a pretty good drawing, however, I was obviously admiring the work that someone else drew that HE stole! Not only did that guy steal a picture in order to win a contest, he also stole the original artist's identity. Meaning, he created an account with the original artist's name on the day he sent in the stolen piece of art, thinking that no one would notice and he would get away with it. I actually saw the original piece and the original artist is on DeviantArt, who goes by the name of BoogyBro. He lives in the United Kingdom.
I mean, it's one thing to steal someone's hard work, but to steal that same person's IDENTITY!? All in order to win a contest unfairly too? >.< It is such a dissappointment to see just where the majority of the human race is headed for...

Just Stuffs and Fun Blog Things for Amusement. ^^
Hey, I already posted my contest entry for the July Contest thingy. Though I think I kinda rushed it, I still really like how it came out in the end. My favorite is how her expression, face, hair, and ears turned out. Mainly her hair though. X3
LOL, anyway, I may not win anything, but it was still pretty fun to do though. Just spurs me on to draw some more stuff.
Ah, also, just to answer one question that has been asked rather frequently. 'What do I use to color my pictures?'
Well, I use PrismaColor Markers, sometimes mixing in a little stuff from PhotoImpressions 05 on my computer. I also use felt tip pens of different sizes to ink my pictures with.
There, hope that answers some of your questions. Remember, if you have any more, just PM me and I'll be sure to answer them. ^^
That's right! Kurama is my bitch! XD

Art of Otaku Contest

Okay, I just want to get a few things cleared up about this Art of Otaku: July Contest thing. I have recently been getting a few PMs from certain people, usually saying the exact same thing.
"Hey, are you going to enter the July Contest, Akane?"
"Are you doing anything for the contest?"
"What do you plan to draw for the Art of Otaku contest, Akane-sama?"
"Hey, how come you don't have anything entered in the July contest yet, Akane-sama?"
Okay, I think you get the point. I just want to answer those questions, as well as anybody elses who may also be wondering the same thing.
Yes, it is true that I don't have anything entered in this contest. That is for two reasons.
1. I didn't even know about the contest until people started sending me PMs. (I don't exactly read the Articles on the site... >.>)
2. I've never been the best at online contest, and I would more than likely not win anything.
However, if it will make those few individuals happy, I will go ahead and try and make a picture for the contest. It'll probably be crap, but if it will make you happy, then fine. It will most likely be posted Saturday morning on the 29th, seeing as how the contest deadline is the 31st.

WTF!?!?!? Ending!? Ending? WHAT ENDING!? I can'r believe they did that to me! >.< I honestly hope I was not the only one who wanted to kick something when the credits suddenly began rolling!
*Sigh*...... Well, enough of that bit of insane ranting...
Anyway, this is yours truly from Louisianna or, as my father likes to call it, LOUSYanna... Seriously, not that much here. Oh well, I'm still managing to have a rather nice time though. Also, for your own personal enjoyment, I will have LOTS of brand new pictures for my gallery this weekend. (As you know, I update the gallery every Saturday and Sunday.)

*Yawns...* Things and Blog Stuff... ^.^
Wow, last week was really exhausting. Never again... >.< I had to go to the church that my parents attend because one of my friends managed to talk me into helping out with the decoration comittee and being a teacher for Arts and Crafts for the Vacation Bible School they were having. Once again, never again! >.< I had to got there every single day. First few days was just to spend the whole day decorating, the next few days was coming in to teach little kids (Kindergarden-5 grade)for about 4 hours. It only got bad because most of the kids that me and my other friend taught come in right after they had snack. The snack usually being something EXTRA sugary... O.o
I was exhausted. X.X I'm just glad it's over. Now, I can just sit back and wait for the vacation to northern Louisiana to come up. I'm going to be there visiting a few friends of the family. However, I'm mainly going to go see a friend that I made through my dad and his friend Moreen.
His name is Taylor, and he is Moreen's professional hairdresser. I can't wait to finally meet the guy. ^^ He wants to style my hair at least once when I see him too. ^^; (Yes, he is homosexual if you are wondering. >.<;)
LOL, I could use the time away anyway. ^^
