   Happy 4th Everyone!
LOL, yeah, sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I've kinda been in a bit of a block and Xero has been trying his best to get me out of it. ^^

Anyway, I posted a 4th of July picture today, just incase if you didn't see it yet.

Anywho, not much going on here, but my summer sure seems to be flying by REALLY fast. My mom has alotof her friends over at the moment, so I'm just gonna be living in my bedroom until they finally go away. >.< It's a good thing I have a computer in here to keep me from getting bored out of my mind.

   Lucky Day!
Well, originally I was supposed to go take the test for my Driver's Primit today, but my dad found out that they are only open on Mondays and Tuesdays when we got there. XD

But that's just fine with me. I'm terrified of the thought of driving anyway. O.O (I'm not lying...)

But I guess I was lucky because I still went to Sam Goodies anyway. XD
I just picked up Volume 9 of Fruits Basket, and Volume 3 of Legal Drug (YAY!) I LOVE the art in Legal Drug! It's absolutely GORGEOUS!

   This Really Sucks
UGH! I have to have oral surgery tomorrow. (My two wisdom teeth need to be taken out and they are still inside my gums) >.<

And the next day, my buddy Ashley is coming down to visit from Wisconsin. I'm gonna be all swollen and sore, but also miserable from the dull pain I'm gonna have after I wake up from the surgery. >.<

:Sigh:

I just hope that after all this, my dad will feel sorry for me or something. That way he'll take me to Sam Goodies to buy more manga. That's always uplifting.

   B.T.B.M. Info
Number one thing you need to know about BTBM, I am so used to reading manga in the traditional way (right to left) I have to try really hard to make any sort of page in the American way (left to right). So, for a bit of information for everyone who will be reading this story, BTBM will be drawn in the traditional Japanese way (right to left). Why am I doing this? Well I talked to my friend Angel and she said "you either go Japanese, or don't go at all.".....so I went Japanese. Because when it comes to any comic-type object....America sucks.

REMEMBER, BTBM MAKES ITS PREMIERE TOMORROW MORNING!!!

Before I go off to school tomorrow morning, I will post the cover and the first three pages of BTBM.

Last bit of info,as of now, I'm not sure of how many times I will be posting, I was thinking of updating every Monday, but that may make people too anxious. So I will be posting whenever I feel like it (whenever I have a new page ready).

   It's A Girl!
Yup, it took me by surprise too. My sister-in-law had her baby this morning and I am now a proud Aunt.

It feels alittle weird for me, but kinda nice as well. It's hard to explain.

What kinda surprised me was the fact that we weren't expecting the baby until June. ^.^

(PERSONAL MANGA QUESTIONS)

Would You Allow People to Make Fanart of Your Characters?: Of course!

Why?: Because, the one thing that a Manga-Ka goes for is to touch his/her readers. When a fan draws one of a Manga-Ka's own characters in a fanart, it's like a way of saying how much they enjoy the story and how much they love that certain character.

Would You Allow People to Write Fanfiction Based On Your Manga?: Absolutely!

Why?: It's kinda the same as what I said for the fanart one. However, Fanfiction works differently because it allows fans to tweak a story to fit their tastes and how they would like it, and what COULD have happened if something went differently in their own opinion. It would not bother me one bit at all, because I write and read fanfiction all the time so I understand.

Would You Allow Fans to Pair Up Your Characters Into Couples (Straight, Yaoi, Yuri) That May Not Be Together In The Actual Story in both Fanart and Fanfiction Form?: Once again, YES!

Why?: Well, EVERY single professional Manga-Ka has fans that do those things and it doesn't hurt anyone. Honestly, it's just another way for the fan to express themselves. This makes them happy and also makes them enjoy reading the original story as well. Also, many Manga-Ka have looked to their fan's fanarts and fanfictions to help make the viewers happier. However, this is mainly on just romantic couplings. If a Manga-Ka has only just started writing a story, they will often change small things to fit the majority of fan's desire. Personally, I not only WANT this to happen but also want to experience EVERYTHING that a Manga-Ka does. Also because I think that it's just fucking awesome too! ^.^ (Straight, Yaoi, Yuri, Angst, Deathfics, etc... It's all just fine to me!) (ABOUT THE ARTIST)

Inspiration For The Manga?: That actually happened really fast. I was in the middle of my 2nd Block class and I was just doodling (Like I always do during my classes) in my notebook. I ended up drawing a really good picture of a dude with red hair (Hamika) and he just seemed so cool looking that I just HAD to do something with him. Then a few weeks later I drew more characters and a story began to spawn.

Do You Have a Partner?: Yes, and his name is Xero.

What are Your Parts?: Xero comes up with almost all the comedy. I do all the art work, story writing, and toning. (Yeah, I know -.-') However, Xero is also the one that I run everything by. Like the height of the characters, the roles, etc. He's also basically the second opinion that most of us want.

Who is Your Favorite Character in the Manga?: Mephis! (You'll find out why later when the story starts getting posted.)

Who is Your Idol?: Hikaru Aranaga! (I wish to draw like her!)

Why?: I simply adore her artwork, and she is the ONLY person whose art work has truly left me in awe.

How Much do You Adore Your Idol?: I've printed out EVERY LAST ONE of her pictures from her website and have them in their own personal binder. I also recently got a 186 paged Pokemon doujinshi in the mail Friday that was done by her.

   Special Annoucements!
I'm sure that a few of you, that know me well enough, remember me talking about posting my own manga on the Otaku soon. Yes, I still intend to do so. It's just that I wanted to ink out a few more pages extra.

Xero and I also wanted to set a date for the offical launch.

At first, I was planning on posting it on Xero's birthday, Febuaray 24th. However, I had to redue alot of the pages so we had to wait a bit longer.

But, now, we have FINALLY set the date!

"Behind the Broken Mirror" will offically launch May 26th!

Listen to Someone Who Knows
There are rumors going around my school that the dress code is going to change saying that you can not wear all black, because it is related to Satanic beliefs......

BULLSHIT!!!

These are nothing but conformist remarks, and it makes me sick! The color black was never related to Satanic beliefs, people made it that way just as they turned the word Hell, and Ass into curse words.

If anyone really wishes to know the reason why these so called "goths and satan worshippers" wear such things, then listen to some one who KNOWS.

Like me...Now here is the truth

Most of these people who wear "goth" related items are WANNA-BES! These are people who think that it is just so 'hard core' *Valley girl laugh* and want to be 'feared' by their peers
and be 'hard core'. It's THESE idiots that started the rumors you now hear.

I, however, wear all black everyday to public places without even TRYING! You can ask Xero Hopkins yourself. I have to TRY to wear another color besides black.

The reason why I wear this color? It's because people scare the HELL out of me... And since people relate the color black with evil, I wear that very color that drives others away. It also caused the people who once teased me to leave me alone. So It was for my own protection against people who judged me before they even knew what my name was.

It's VERY true. If people won't socialize with you because of the way you dress, then they are APPARENTLY NOT your REAL friends now are they? You know it's true.

This is how I met my FEW very close friends. Like Xero, Kara, Angel, and etc...

TRUE, I did have run ins with the Wanna-Bes who thought because of how I dressed I was in 'THAT' crowd. But I am always able to tell.

In truth I only have 5 friends, including my Darkside Mark, who love me because of who I am and I love them just as much and more. My best is Xero, and I love that kid more than anything and would GLADLY take a bullet for him.

I'm afaird I'm still like this now. I'm, in truth, not the constantly smiling Akane I draw. I hardly EVER smile when in the presence of someone I don't know.

It's also hard for me to even express my own beliefs and feeling verbally because they may sound stupid to everyone. Then that will just lead to misunderstandings.

I can easily write my feelings down without it sounding so stupid to myself, but also because (like now) I can't see anyones faces on here.

People scare me more than anything. I feel that they are always looking at me, talking about me, or mocking me because of something I MUST have just done but I don't know what.

Anyway, the reason (for me atleast)to wear these colors is to push away the ones who will hurt me, and filter out the ones know will love me for the socially shy and pathetically timid person I really am. Though I also get some of the 'OTHERS' that only wish to socialize with me because of dress, I always manage to close them out until they get the point that I know why they are really trying to talk to me.
