note: B4 ya read this, i wanna tell ya i can't visit anyone for 3 days, i can only post!!! because i can't use the net for more than an hour. our phone line's been disconnected!!! sorry!!!
(Two days later)
MARICA: “hey, where are we anyway?”
MICHI: “huh… um… let me think for a sec.”
Michi’s voice seemed to tremble.
MARICA: “why does that reply seem to bother me, huh? Don’t tell me you lost the map.”
Marica exclaimed in a harsh voice.
MICHI: “um… I can explain. We travelled here by boat, right? Well… it kinda fell overboard when the storm rushed, sorry!!!”
Michi gazed upon her sister’s deceit.
AYA: “marica, please hold your temper. Remember, blood pressure!!!”
Aya said as elie tried to reason her cousin from senselessly murdering her own sister.
MARICA: “we quit the chuunin exam… to come all the way here… just to get here before the deadline… AND WE DON’T EVEN KNOW WHERE THE HELL THE LOCATION OF THE HUNTER EXAM IS!!!”
Marica tried to calm down but it didn’t actually work till…
STRANGER: “did you just say hunter exam?”
A woman, who looked like she came from Texas, butted in right before marica lost it.
AYA: “yes…yes we did. Do you know anything about it?”
STRANGER: “fortunately for you, I do. The meeting place is up there, to that china fur. They say that navigators live there and they’ll take us to the location of the exam. You can come with me, if you like?”
AYA: “sure!!!”
Marica suddenly pulled Aya to her side and whispered…
MARICA: “are you nuts? We don’t know her. Plus, are you sure this ain’t a trap?”
AYA: “it’s the only chance we got. It’s better than nothing.”
So, they introduced themselves.
STRANGER: “my name’s Jessica but I’d rather be called Jane.”
AYA: “I’m Aya and this is Marica, Michi and Elie.
They hiked up through the forest and avoided wild animals and wrong paths. Then, they came upon a small abandoned village. There, they heard people whispering. People wearing masks and white capes appeared from all sorts of places. An old lady came with them.
OLD LADY: “you cannot pass unless… you answer a question.
ELIE: “a question?”
OLD LADY: “when I give the question, you have 5 seconds to answer.”
JANE: “well, sure. Why not? I’ll go first.”
OLD LADY: “your friend and lover are trapped in a collapsing building. Your friend is locked in a room in the 36th floor, While, your lover is unconscious and injured in one of the rooms in the 30th floor. All of the stairs collapsed and the escalators are broken. You only have time to save only one. Who will you save?
1. Your friend
2. Your lover”
The question was difficult. There was no answer capable for this question. Jane thought hard, while the old lady started to count.
OLD LADY: “1…2…3…4…”
JANE: “ONE!!!”
OLD LADY: “why is that?”
JANE: “my friend means more to me than my lover.”
OLD LADY: “go through!!!”
JANE: “YES!!! Meet you in the exam. See ya!!!”
Jane went ahead. Now, the four was left.
AYA: “I’m next!!!”
ELIE: “Aya!!!”
MARICA: “Aya!!!”
MICHI: “Aya!!!”
OLD LADY: “very well!!! The question is… your father… and your mother… is both entrapped in a building on fire and the fire fighters won’t come till the next hour and the fire has already covered the whole building. Who will you save?
1.your mother
2.your father”
The situation was so familiar to Aya because it once happened to her 6 years ago. Remembering her state before, she was only 5 years old, she couldn’t save anyone. Aya entered into a trance, where she remembered every bit of her tragic past and before she knew it…
OLD LADY: “time’s up!!!”
MARICA: “what are you thinking?”
Then, Elie reminded Marica of their friend’s past, which made them understand that even in such a situation no choice is made.
AYA: “I… I’m sorry!!!”
OLD LADY: “you passed!!!”
MICHI: “what? We didn’t even answer!!!”
ELIE: “yeah!!! Jane answered your question and you let her through.”
OLD LADY: “I said ‘go through’ but I didn’t say whether her answer was correct or not.”
MARICA: “OH!!!”
The old lady led them to an iron gate.
OLD LADY: “this is the right way. You will be walking for 2 hours and when you reach the exit, go on to find the navigators.”
AYA: “ah…well, thank you!!!”
OLD LADY: “I see that you have been challenged before. The correct answer was to be silent, in other words silence is the answer. Good luck!!!”
They went on through the dark path they were told to go.
AYA: “well…. What are we waiting for? Last one there is a rotten egg!!!”
MARICA: “that ain’t fair Aya!!! You’re always the winner when it comes to races!!!”
AYA: “I KNOW!!!”
ELIE: “AAAYYYYAAAAAA!!!”
