Walking... with a blanket... with a bucket of fried chicken... in the rain

Yeah. Gomen. I haven't done much with this little site of mine for about a week. Well, FYI, this is NOT my week. And tomorrow, I have to go to work with my dad. I despise working in insulation. Even if someone would pay me $50 an hour to work with it, with the bad experience I'm gaining from this work, I would decline.

Well, about the title. It's raining. It was really raining earlier when I was at school. I had my blanket with me. I get cold easily (I'm from California, I only saw snow there once, and that was for 5 minutes). Well, I stayed after school to work on some stuff for the CD rom for yearbook. Got practically all of it done, which is good. At a quarter till four, I left school to go to the bank to put in a deposit, and that reminds me, I need to balance my checkbook. ACK! Anywhoo, afterwards, I went to IGA to get some food, having the gut feeling that I would be walking around for a bit and getting hungry trying to find:

a) a place to stay or
b) a ride home

Well, when I went to my friends house, in which she lives right next to the school, but it's still quite a walk going from the bank to IGA, across the 4 lanes to get to the high school, cross a 2 lane street to go towards the band room and football field, walk towards the middles school, pass through the gate, walk past the middle school, walk down two more 2 lane streets and then a road before getting to my friends house. Well, no one was home, so I sat in a chair on their porch, while it rained, eating fried chicken (the food I got at IGA).

After eating my fill, I walk back towards the band room, walking down the road, to the streets, to the middle school, passed the football field and continued on until I again almost hit the 4 lane street. Luckily, there is a little gas station there that had a bathroom and a phone. I called up my friend who lived at least 10 min from the school (by car). Her dad picked me up and took me home, by this time, it was already 5:30. Nice huh?

Well, now I'm home, and once again, I got addicted to Neopets. :: sighs :: And now, Sokania doesn't want to play Dice-a-Roo. Guess I'll go play Poogle Solitaire. Ja ne.

Oh, and working tomorrow is gonna suck. It's cold, and it'll be wet. Not fun when you don't have the appropriate shoes.

~Alec~
