So, hello! Um... I've pretty much given up trying to baby my hand. I don't care. It looks a lot better and anyway I'm still taking antibiotics through Friday so I'm not worried.

So... if everyone who comes to my site hasn't heard me talk about my clone ElvesAteMyRamen-chan yet (which I doubt)... um anyway she posted an AWESOME tutorial (still in the making, tho') about how she colors her absolutely MAGNIFICENT drawings... it'll be a great help to me, I'll tell you that! Yay!

So... I'm working on modifying my intro... to be funnier... and I'm thinking of getting a different picture (or pictures). So... um, does anyone know how you make a background that only shows up on the edges, outside of the text? And that doesn't scroll with the text? I know it can be done... so someone tell me.

Well... I'm off to look for cool stuff online! (again) Might as well take advantage of high-speed net before I have to go home...

speaking of that, I am seriously thinking about moving onto my university's campus. High-speed net, cable, not to mention getting rid of the one-hour each way commute every day... it's getting absolutely ridiculous. I have my reservations, though... for one thing, I hope I could get a single room... I don't do well living with other people... especially if I don't have my own place to privately ensconce myself in whatever-it-is I'm doing... also, my mother's disabled, and I don't know how she'll do things around the house by herself. I could go home on weekends to do stuff for her, I guess... that really wouldn't bug me a lot. One of the biggest reasons though is my cat. Autumn! That's her name. Because she was a stray that came to our door in the fall. When I was five years old. She's fourteen and a half now but still active and lively and no health problems at all. But... she goes nuts just when I'm out of the house for a few hours. I come home, and her nose will be sticking out the door the minute I crack it as she's trying so hard to get to me... *sniff* I'd miss her, too! So... I dunno what to do. I was thinking after this semester I'll no longer be a freshman and I won't need the exception from dorm residence I got (on grounds of my mother's disability) and I can live somewhere besides the dorm or home... if I have a job... maybe I can get a small apartment that I can have my cat at... but my mother says that any apartment that lets you have pets is probably bad quality and quite seedy. *sigh* if only this dilemma could be solved somehow...

I didn't go to history... and I'm not going to computer lecture. Bad me... but I don't care right now... it was an accident... that I missed history, but I said oh well, who the hell gives a flying rip.

If only I didn't feel so guilty...

I'm too bored! Bad Aliryn-chan! But I give up.

But... I don't have much to say...

No wait, I do. As always...
(Too lazy for html coding right now though... so you get to look at my boring same-size same-color unitalicized text.)

So I read Rurouni Kenshin 1. Doesn't seem to be an overall series-long plot conflict yet... no overall goal, if you will... and for some psychotic o_O reason that depresses me. But I'll read more to see if one shows up.

So... my java programming and graphic design in theatre classes are completely rocking. I have to get up pretty early to take the bus to the labs... but it's worth it. FUN!! My other classes are boring though. Pre-mod western civ is very very lame. Philosophy... I've always found it fascinating, but they just keep stabbing the same dead dogs over and over that I've discussed and contemplated to death in my high school Bible Doctrines and Christian Apologetics (and other) classes... don't sound like philosophy classes? They are. And anyway in my small private school in any class (well, almost any. this one teacher... who was the principal... *gag*) we could get into the most insanely philosophical and deep discussions... with some people who just liked to argue logically and prove how smart they were... and a few of us who really cared about the issues. Like me...
You want to know the interesting part?
Within my senior class of 12 people there were three people who really cared, and nine who either just wanted to show off or cared in a superficial way because they knew they "ought to"
And the three people who really cared (including me) happened to come from what would be defined as "broken homes", and the more shallow nine came from fully functional, moral, traditional two-parent families.

That's how it's supposed to be... but people who have it easy in life tend to take things for granted... I never had that luxury.

That's okay though.

My project... is progressing... slowly. I spend more time looking for things to put in than actually working on it ^_^' but that's okay because I'll do anything to make sure it's good!

Um... I'm gonna try to get to people's sites now!

   incapacitated
So a couple of days ago (Thursday) I had an early lab and I had to leave really early because it takes an hour to get to the university by bus and it was still dark. Now between my house and the bus stop there aren't sidewalks for most of the way. I have to walk through the weeds and gravel by the side of the road. I was hurried because I wanted to make sure that I would catch the bus and at some point I tripped. I don't know what it was I fell on--because it was dark--and I've fallen before, so I just went on. When I get on the bus, where they have overhead lights on in the back half, I looked at my right hand cuz it hurt and on the thumb pad down toward my wrist there was a scrape, but there was some skin over it kinda like a blister that was sliced mostly off. It was dirty and strangely kinda swollen so I cleaned it as best I could with a Kleenex and water from my bottle. I then ignored it because I'm clumsy and always getting myself wounded like that and therefore didn't think much of it... but throughout the day I noticed that it was swollen and sore. That night I was doing the dishes and noticed a red streak following the path of one of my veins down my wrist--about 7 cm long. My mother was afraid it was blood poisoning so I minimized my movements with it and the next day (Friday. Yesterday.) went to the university health center. They gave me an appointment for that afternoon and then I had two classes in which I very clumsily took notes with my left hand. I then went back for my appointment and the doctor told me it was some kind of infection and that if I'd left it for a couple more days it'd've gotten really nasty and infected and put me on antibiotics. Then he said to "minimize repetitive movements" with my hand--which means no computer, no Nintendo, no writing, no painting, no drawing! For a week! So I'm VERY slowly tapping this out with just my left hand and trying to use the mouse with my left hand which is damned slow and hard. So that's where I've been. I'm not gonna be spending a lot of time on, obviously, so I'm sorry but I'm not gonna get around to everyone's sites for awhile or be able to answer messages in anything but short. I don't have hours on end to spend typing out at twenty words a minute or whatever speed this is. This post has taken almost an hour already, when normally something of this length would take me five minutes. (Those times are literal, you know.) So I'm sorry. Man, this sucks... I'm already bored from having nothing to do... thankfully my obasan and I are going to take my oniisan some socks and jeans at his university and there are two good bookstores on the way... and I LOVE to sit in the bookstore and read manga! that'll probably be the highpoint of my weekend...

h, how is it that, even though I just went through and cleared everything out of my inbox and saved and sent message boxes, the stupid thing keeps telling me I have two undread messages!?

Ever since I got Immortal Rain 1 the other day... I've been reading it over and over...
I just can't get enough of it...
If I had thirty bucks I'd go get 2-4...
Or Inuyasha movie 2...
Never mind-I wish I had fifty dollars. So I could get it all.

Soooooooo I had a lovely burst of creative juices but it's a project that could take a loooooooooooooooong time. I'm actually having fun... but it's time-consuming... and I'm already getting yelled at regularly for spending so much time on the computer *sigh* and I really should do my schoolwork...

Ummmm... anyway... I'm working on a seperate website (it's a free-hosted one on freewebs.com) but I'm not gonna go announcing the address and asking people to come yet. I want more content. I mean, I have plenty of stuff to put, but there's not much there yet. But... it's gonna be pretty cool once I'm finished... I hope.

A, anyway... I have a class in ten minutes or so... I'll try to get to everyone's sites later...
I'm sorry I've been so lax about that.
