......woot.
Back from my..over two week trip. Very cool. Went to South Dakota with my grandmother, brother, and cousin to Eagle Butte(Indian reservation) and we went to a Lakota sundance. Been there before..but older now and it changed alot. Very interesting. It was nice to see people so passionate about something that they would do such a sacrafice. 1-4 days of a vision quest....4 days in isolation afterwards, then 4 days of dancing 7 45 minute rounds without food or water while you're still in isolation. Then on the 3rd day..the men peirce and lean back from the tree until their skin breaks or the stick thats in their skin breaks. On the 4th day tehy can finally come about and say hello to everyone. Then are able to eat. Then back into isolation for another 4 days(luckily with food and water). And the whole time I watched, I considered. So in about....2 years, if I don't change my mind, and if the leader accepts me, I'll be a dancer.
