Hiya! You need an avitar. On your backroom go 2 edit picture and click brouse. Then click on 1 of your pics. that are small and click OK.

Well, I'm not really sure what you mean by a normal site, but if you want to write daily things with comments underneath, just click add post in your backroom. Then just type away and submit it.
For backgrounds, find something on photobucket.com and copy the code underneath the picture you want that has these things < > around it. Copy and paste that into background on the edit styles in your backroom. Edit styles can also change your font color. For avi's (lil picture thing next to name) you just click edit picture in the backroom and click browse. It'll take you to your pictures saved on the computer. Just make sure the picture is the right size and you're good to go. For music...I honestly don't know. My friend put music on my site for me, but briarrose90 (on my friends list) can help you.
