An X-Mas Poem
UPDATES :D
Outside the sky is bleak and gray
Everyone worries about the coming day
The ground is covered with a thin layer of frost
The children believe that the snow must be lost
The tree is covered with all things big and small
The ceiling it touches for it is so tall
Green and red tinsel is wrapped around the tree
The ornaments are placed in perfect rows of three
Relatives from all families swarm into town
Only smiles can be seen, no not even one frown
The houses that line the blocks are covered with lights
Like stars in the sky, they glow very bright
Inside the houses it's cozy and warm
The inhabitants not knowing of the coming storm
The storm that will make this Christmas so very white
Yet it shall only come on Christmas Eve night
With the storm blowing strong outside and the children in bed
Dreams of the next day fill their head
Milk and cookies sit on a little tray
"Let Santa feast on our snacks!" the little children pray
Jingle bells can be heard as Santa passes by
Snowflakes fall on them as they're in the sky
Yet there is one angel that watches silently
The very same one that sits atop the Christmas tree
