Alright this is the moment you have all been waiting for! The winners of my Poetry contest...
Ok, Coming im 3rd Place with his poem titled I Lost You
Tortured Heart
With a clouded-mind
Loosing grip on what is mine
What was lost
Hoping to find it
Praying that it would come back
Where it was found
Where it was treasured
But fate turned it around
So you ran away
I lost you
But I think I did in the beginning
We have been very distant lately
Though we won't admit it
Do we regret it?
Broken Heart
Empty Mind
I have to let go
On something that wasn't really mine
But cherished still

*pauses* Ok, Ok, coming in 2nd place with her poem titled Empty Bedroom
She was a high school girl, say the books on her bed
that lay unopened in a silent heap
a writer too say the clutter of papers spread
around the mahogany desk; and a friendly, talkative person too
says the YAHOO buddy list with saved instant messages
and conferences and friends in abundance
but not an athletic girl, says the empty shelves
where only parents dreams lay.
She had one true best friend says the closet door
plastered with pictures of two closer than any
sisters could be, and she had a cat
say the litter box now empty and food dish now hollow
artistic in nature say clay figures and small
oil paintings now made more meaningful
and she nearly lived inside that bedroom say the
moldy plate and cups living on the floor and bedside table.
She felt alone says a journal filled with teenage fears and sufferings
something should have been done say the stains adorning the room
a dark spot starkly contrasting the bright white
something was missing say the stories written depicting pain, torture and anguish
that shouldn't have been overlooked in the haste of parental apathy
and her best friend? her life was stolen in a single fatal swoop
taken both in two blows, one spattering floor
the other covering walls, books, shelves. Something should have been done, they say

MY REALITY...IS YOU
I look upon a sullen land
A barren land
So why am i so happy?
White wind blows through my hair
Wipes away my tears
Flows through me
And takes away my fear
Darkened clouds have now aroused
Im falling
But why?
Colors blur behind me
Objects blend inside me
Im falling to the breaking point
This is how i die
I cry
Why?
Why do i sob and yell
If no one can hear me?
Why was i so happy
In that fake reality?
An angel comes
And pulls me down
To this darkened ground
I scream, i yell
Yet i am bound
My reality was but a dream
A dream i could never have
But now i know
Why i have been chosen
Because i never really lived
Im someone else's reality
The angel whispers in my ear
Tells me why im here
Here in this frozen time
Im here to cry your tears
To live your pain
To suffer by you day by day
Im dieing cause i have no purpose
