Warning: thanks, yesterday's shopping, crabby dad and gift, & featured wallpaper
See? What did I tell you? 11 is my lucky number...it's crazy!! *laugh* I got 11 comments again yesterday, so thanks a lot! ^^ Thanks for the encouragement with my train of thought yesterday...at least I'm not alone with the whole "I have no clue what I'm going to do in the future" problem. Emi, what are you talking about? I'm QUITE sure that you could do a lot of things! *hugs* You should be a spanish translator or something! ^^ I wub you, so don't go being down on yourself like me. Anyhoo, Shizuka, yes, yes...I know. *laugh* It's ok. I know you don't get on that often; I understand! Thanks to everyone for the compliments on my poem again, too. *hugs* Well...off to the post...
*sigh* Um, hmm...should I start with the good stuff or bad stuff? Well, I'll just go with the flow. Yesterday, my mom, Derek, and I went shopping at the mall (yes, we saved him and got his car to working...he just needed a new battery in his remote thing that unlocks the door and stuff. ^^;). Sure, we were supposed to be looking for gifts for Corey's b-day, which is today...but it ended up that I got more things. *laugh* We went to Hot Topic, and I got 3 new shirts...all of them really cool and cute. ^^ Then we went to the game place (EBgames...I suppose...or is it gamestop?) to get him a giftcard--there, there's ONE gift for him! After that, Derek wanted to check out this shoe store, and...*laugh* He didn't get anything, but I ended up getting a pair of black boots. Hooray! Another gift for me! ^^; Then, it was off to Border's...yay. *laugh* I got more manga! Teeheehee...^^; no gifts for my brother there! So last night, before going to bed, I decided to do a quick drawing for his gift, on the back of some extra wrapping paper. It's of Nami from One Piece. *laugh* It's not that great...but oh well. Too bad I can't scan it in to show you guys yet. ^^; Nothing's hooked up yet! Now, that picture brings me to my next piece of business...
This morning, I woke up and asked where my drawing was. My mom said that my dad took it downstairs and put it with the other gifts. Well, I looked, and it wasn't there...and knowing my dad, well, I panicked and thought that he probably didn't notice the drawing on there and either threw it away or used it to wrap a gift. I asked my mom about it, and she called him up...he was already crabby from other things this morning so he was yelling about it...well, I was starting to get upset; I mean, I spent a good amount of time on that drawing!! So mom and I started accusing my dad of throwing it away...and then he said that he made a trash run. *sigh* My mom asked him to go look in the dump for it...and he did...and he didn't find it...and then he came home all crabby about it (and he still is), and then he saw this K-mart bag on the counter. He picks it up and says, "Did you try looking in HERE?" No, I didn't...and it was IN THERE. *sigh* So now his in an angry mood because he went through all that work trying to find the picture, when it was just right in front of me. How was I supposed to know that it'd be in some k-mart bag?????? *sigh* Well, hopefully my bro likes it...after all that work...
Now for something happy!! ^^ I made my first wallpaper on Open Canvas last night. Yeah, I'm so used to photoshop...but now that I don't have it anymore, well, I didn't really know what I was doing. It's not as good as my other ones, BUT!! BUT!!! It's on the FEATURED WALLPAPERS!!! ^^ Hooray! That's the second time one of my wallpapers has been featured...I wonder how long it's been up, or how long it'll be up! ^^ YAY! I'm just so excited about it! Well, thanks for visiting me...I don't know what else we're doing today for my bro's b-day other than going out to eat later. He has to work today, which sucks for him...working on a saturday, on his birthday! ^^; Oh well. Thanks again, and have a fantabulous day!
