Warning: thanks, early morning, the story of prom, mother's day, new wp, & amv
*is tired but still posting anyway* Thanks so much for the comments!! It was interesting to read encouragement for prom AFTER prom. *laugh* Well, the morning after prom...yup, so thanks for that. I'll tell you all about it later. I'm glad you guys liked my new wallpaper! ^_^ Thanks for the helpful tips on it as well, Lys and GIDRA. I don't think anyone, other than Markie, commented on the amv I put there, but oh well. It's really good! ^^ You can still watch it if you didn't! Wolfspeed, I'm so glad to hear from you again! *hugs hugs* And new friends as well! Doctomister, CurseOfTheZodiac, and Olette-chan as well! ^__^ Thanks so much! I'm also glad that you like the new theme. I think the small font is nice. Sorry, kirbysdouble, that it was too small for you to read!! ^^; I was worried about that, so I'm really sorry, but it IS staying this way. I hope it isn't too much of an inconvenience. Well, thanks again!
I want to go back to sleep...I might've been able to...but eh...I had too much on my mind and I couldn't breathe. My nose is all stuffed thanks to allergies or possibly my being on the brink of crying last night! ^^; I woke up at 8am this morning, and I just lied there until 8:40 or something...decided I couldn't fall asleep again, and then just went on here. Normally I'd just try and try to go back to sleep, but seeing how we'll have to get ready for church at 10 anyway...I didn't see any point in NOT posting right now. ^^; So, yeah, I'm tired. I never wake up this early on the weekend...anyhoo, I had to take a sleeping pill last night because my mind was thinking too much about prom, and I could still see the flashing lights. I shall now talk about prom...what they titled "A Night to Remember". All I have left to remember it is my painted nails, crumpled up ticket, and still-gelled hair...and of course the dress that's hanging up in my closet...
The preparation for it was probably the most fun. Having my mom do my hair up (in a bun, and then my bangs, which have formed themselves into two curls/ringlets on either side...well, I wanted the one side to be swished onto the other side), and paint my nails (toes and fingers)...that was nice. She even put some make-up on me (lipstick and blush), and I actually thought i looked pretty. It was crazy. That point was when I was most excited; I thought it'd actually be fun. I'll show you pics of me in the dress and all whenever my dad puts them on the computer (they're on his camera). So, yesterday it DID end up thunderstorming, just as I was getting ready to go. Luckily it held up enough for me to get there.
When I arrived, another stroke of luck (or so I thought) came in the way of seeing Narret and Ben coming in just as I was. That was great because I ended up sneaking in their arrival picture...so at least I wouldn't be in one by myself...that tagging along just began the long road ahead, of being a third wheel. For the rest of the night, or at least the rest of when I stayed there, I was a THIRD WHEEL, to every friend I met...they all had their dates and friends they came with. (Aside from "third wheel", I was also the guidepost to Narret...pretty much every friend wanted to find her, so I'd point her out or take them to her/our table...) Sure, they said, "Oh, Kelsey!! You look so pretty! I LOVE the dress. I didn't think you were coming!" Some of them took a picture, and then that was it. I'd follow whoever it was I then saw next to somewhere, talked for about a minute before they went back with their date or whoever, and then I just went on...ignored...trying to find SOMEONE to talk with. At one point, I just stood at one of the balconies, looking down at the kids dancing (to ATROCIOUS music...every song was hip-hop/rap [not that I hate ALL of it], and all of the kids were dancing...provocatively to say the least), feeling lonely. I was on the brink of crying, when Sammy (good friend that's in foods with Narret and I) came over and talked to me. She said she noticed me over here all alone and looking, well, lonely. I thought that was sweet of her to try and comfort me...but it didn't last that long.
I walked with her down back to Narret, and we talked some, complained about the music, and I think that was the most socializing I did that night, other than the vast amount of chatting with my teachers. ^^; I also went to the bathroom a lot, as it was quiet there, and it even had a couch and a tv! I just wanted to stay THERE all night. Anyhoo, so when I got really tired of being a third wheel to everyone, I decided to just sit down. I sat, and after a while Mrs.Bakken (the sweet teacher that gave me the dress and everything) came over and said that she's had about enough of the prom. ^^; I agreed with her, so we went out to the lobby, I called Mom, and then we stood there and talked while waiting for my parents to come and pick me up. That was around 9:30. I only stayed at prom for 1.5 hours, but it seemed like forever...heck, I was ready to leave at 8:30...I couldn't imagine staying there until midnight. I wonder how long Narret and the others stayed? I didn't even say goodbye to anyone...I also wonder if they looked for me at all. Oh well, it doesn't matter. It's over now...and I'm glad it is...I went to it, and that's all that matters. I went, experienced it, and confirmed my point of view of me not liking big social events.
There's more I could talk about...rather, complain about, but I shouldn't waste any more of your time. I know a lot of you were awaiting an eager and happy review of this prom, so I'm sorry to disappoint you. ^^; Anyhoo...let's switch topics...
Happy mother's day!!! Make sure to love your mommies today. ^_^ I can't wait to see if my mom likes her gifts! I still need to make her a card though.
Oh, and...THANKS FOR THE 4000 VISITS!!! Yes, holy crap, I have over 4000 visits now!! ^___^ *huggles* It's so awesome!! Oooh! THanks!! *hugs* Oh, and right! Before getting ready for prom and all, I made a new wallpaper. I really like how it turned out. It started getting featured last night, and it still is featured. ^^ Please check it out!
