Ah, what a relief to have a 4-day week all the time...3 day weekends every week! >_< I really really need them. Because these 4 days...are so stress-packed. *sigh* And I'm being forced to post on my stupid laptop instead of my desktop that I usually use when at home. My desktop downstairs has a problem connecting to the internet sometimes, and I don't know why!! It just doesn't connect...so I keep restarting it, turning it off and on, refreshing the internet thing...but ugh! It's so annoying! So now I have to use my slow, dying laptop. ~__~ I hate it since I can't find somewhere comfortable to use it...so my neck/shoulders hurt from looking down at it. D; I really do need a new laptop though. Since Circuit City is going out of business...around here, at least, they're having major sales!!! So maybe I can get one there??? Cause I need one. ;__; But at the same time, I would be like nooooo....since I wub my precious huge lunker of a laptop. Lolz. XD I grow attached to things easily. Even inanimate objects.
And fish!! XD So yes, it's time for the fish report~ We got more discus! Cute little babies. Ok, they're not "babies" exactly, but they're a lot smaller than the ones we've had for a while. They came through the mail; my dad bought them on Ebay. XD Yeah, buying live fish on ebay??? But it worked!! This time was much easier on them than the last bunch. They didn't have to travel for a long time or be left out in the cold. ^^ So they're all alive and healthy. Got 7 more. And yes indeed, I named them all...well, my mom named 2. Otis, Victor, Carlos, Pedro, QT (dad named that one), Blaise II (since Blaise I died), and Tigger. :3 Hehe. ^^ But they're so cute since they're quite small!! They're in the holding tank, aka the uh "prison" to make sure they're not sick or anything...with Bossman. So they're all crowding him like little brothers/sisters admiring a big brother. *laugh* It's funny. But he sometimes chases them and nips them...but not too much. So soon we'll move them all to the big tank. ^_^ Otis is my fave. Lolz.
I love 40's/50's movies. XD The style back then was so elegant!! I have on this movie called "Three Hearts for Julia" made in 1943. I'm not really watching it...I just have it on...but I really like old movies like that. >__< All the ladies would wear such lovely things! And I don't know...they seemed prettier than actresses these days, lol. I know that was a random point...but I thought I'd say that. XD And I like how they would always be so covered up!! I must be old-fashioned or something. Hahaha...but you know, lots of women these days are all about the skimpiest outfits possible!! "Skirt below the knees??? Oh GAWD NO. I need it as high as possible. Show some skin." But not back then! I'm a weirdo for a girl, I guess...I wat 50's styles to come back. ^^;;; Ok...I'll stop with that odd talk now...
...and I'll return to ranting!! :D Yes, more ranting!! I'll talk about yesterday first. I had...fashion, philosophy, and art. Yup. Well, the first two classes were fine. No complaints there. But then art...I'll say that, ok, my prof Justin did a lot better than last time. >.< He talked more...a lot more than he did the first day, but gawd, I think that was a bad thing. At some points, I think he talked TOO much. Yesterday we were using black ink to paint animals...well, dead animals (ones that were stuffed). Mostly birds. He wanted us to use the ink and paint from the middle out...adding shades and whatnot. Well, he kept ragging on my style!!! >E I'm a detail person! And so when I draw or paint, I get right into the details...like the feathers or fur!! And my style is sketchy, you know? I can't be all flowy or really general with my forms...I just can't. But he kept trying to make me!! He'd come over and tell me to do it differently. And then towards the end he gave me this HUGE paint brush. >> So I couldn't do small details. ~__~ F YOU!! *sigh* And then he gave me trouble in another way...he brought up computer graphics and doing art on the computer!!
His opinion on it: You can't do art on the computer like you can with real medium and doing it by hand. It's not the same. He doesn't like computer art, and he kept saying that you don't have to have as much talent to do it.
My Opinion: GO screw yourself. WTF?? You can't do art on the comp like you can on paper? WHAT?? It's not as good? Uh-huh. RIGHT. Ok, whatever. Obviously I was quite pissed off! Since I'm a waller! And many of you draw using photoshop or otherwise with a tablet, or yeah, whatever!! So I was greatly offended when he said that. And he wouldn't stop. So I would try to debate him about it...and he would keep saying that you can't draw from life using the computer since you're just looking at a screen. What? WTF? Then what about when you're drawing on paper? Wouldn't that be the same since you're "just looking at the paper"? Are you not allowed to look away and draw something you see??? ~___~'' So I kept trying to explain photoshop and things to him...but he would get defensive, and I would just get mad. He's a terrible instructor. >> And you can't even debate with him, since he has so much trouble with speaking NORMALLY. It still makes me uncomfortable to ever talk with him. This will be a tough semester...
Oh, and when he came over to critique me more on my style, he tried to give me some suggestions on things to improve, but he couldn't. He even said, "Well...uh...I...[he's always stuttering...] I mean...all of your art is really good, so I can't say anything bad about it..." Ok, well, if that's the case, thanks, so stop trying to make me change. I don't know how I'll put up with that class. *sigh* At least the 3 freaking hours went more quickly...but still very aggravating.
When I got home, close to 6pm...I was very tired, but what did i have to do? Study for my accounting quiz. Yeah. FUN. Kill me. I barely studied. I couldn't bare to. My stupid prof didn't reply to my email...asking for the answers to the homework we handed in. Even though she told me to email her about it. She never did. She's useless. I can't stand her. KD, I CAN hate her if I want. So I just studied what I could!! Today I had class, and it was horrible. She said we were going to "play 2 games" before we take the quiz...we didn't. We got into groups to do an activity that involved using dirty old M&M's to place under account categories or something...she didn't explain it well, and when she went over the answers, I returned to my desk more confused than before. Then I took the quiz. -__-; I might've done ok since it was all multiple choice!! At least I had a chance there!! :D But still, I left the class feeling terrible...terrible and clueless.
But thank you again, Krys, for the wonderful help. You're so sweet! *hugs* Um, after that I had chem...took some notes, and then we had the quiz. It was easy until the last one, where we were all like O__o. Are you sure this equation balances???? So then the girl next to me agreed that she should ask our teacher about it. XD He said that yes it indeed balances!! And then he actually gave us a clue! *laugh* Several. "All the coefficients are more than 2 and less than 7...and the numbers on that compound and the other are the same." After he said that, I got it right away. ^^ How nice of him to help us~~ Hehe!!!
And now I'm at home, trying to relax!! *nods* Hopefully my internet will work later...but until then, I'm not commenting. I hate being on my laptop for long periods of time. ~__~ So I'm sorry again. *hugs* And yesterday I didn't do like any visiting. No time. Wednesdays I'll basically be a non-entity around theO.
