You know who is absolutely one of the coolest fictional characters ever created? Father Alexander Anderson of Hellsing. I swear, he is totally the shit. It doesn't get much more awesome than a monster hunting priest.
Anyway, that was an A.D.D. moment. Please forgive.
Now, what to report...my roommate, Kostik, has left for two weeks. He's gone to Washington to see his mother over the Christmas season.
I'm finally going to have my book done. After five years, I'm almost certain that I'll have it completed by the end of this year or shortly after. So I guess you could call it my new year's resolution. And I changed the title: no longer is it "Vampiric Goddess". Now it's "Goddess of Blood". And I've changed my main characters slightly.

P.S. I love vampires.

Christmas Break
Hello all. Tis me, Joshua.
I'm staying with my parents this weekend, and I am yet again reminded why I moved out. lol My parents play loud music in the morning and do various other irritating things. Can't a man sleep in peace? Sheesh.
Anyway, I was going to go see I Am Legend today, but my mom doesn't want me to. Also irritating.
God I'm tired. I could use a Red Bull.
And I am suddenly struck with how good it feels to be more active on Otaku again. I really do love it here. There is no place more suited to venting emotions. (:
Well, my mother needs me to do a bunch of chores, so I must be going now. See ya all around.

I love the Beowulf poem. It rocks. This video catches the essence of the work. However, the movie itself sucked. Don't see it. It was horribly different from the book.
Christmas Break! Hell yeah!
Hello my friends. Just felt like stopping in and posting something.
I've finished college for this year. I got back January 12. I loved both of my classes and professors. I hope I get as lucky with my next classes. I'm taking Philosophy, Creative Writing, and Psychology next semester. Should be fun.
Oh, and if any of you have a facebook account, feel free to look me up: I'm on there by my true name, Joshua Seth Brookhouse.
What else to write...hmmm...I'm going to go see "I Am Legend" with my dad next monday. Lookin' forward to that. And this weekend I have to go and help my mom make Christmas cookies. -_-' Hopefully it won't be too boring. lol

BioShock:
This is the ending I got. There are two options in this game: one, you are good, or two, you are evil. Naturally, I was really good. lol So this is the ending I earned. Pretty cool. The bad version is quite horrific. I'm glad I got this one.
I'm hanging out with my family today, celebrating my father's birthday. He's 44.
I beat Mass Effect. An extremely good game. I can honestly say I've never played a game as good as this one.

Beowulf and Homework
I have a lot of homework to do today...I have to read a bunch of history, and catch up on some myths. Oh, and I decided that I'm going to become a Professor of Mythology. Yeah. Or Philosophy. Not sure which.
Anyway, I read Beowulf. GREAT story. Wonderful. And then I saw the movie, which sucked. They totally changed the character of Beowulf. He wasn't the same at all. Well, I guess that's not entirely true. For about the first half hour, he was the Beowulf from the book. Then it changed. If you want to get an idea of what the Beowulf book was like, watch this:
Take away Angelina Jolie and you have the Beowulf book here. One of the best books I have ever read.
Hello my friends. It's been a while, huh? I just felt like stopping by and saying hi. I miss you all. I've been so busy with school and work that I haven't had much time to really enjoy myself. And back in my high school days, Otaku was one of the few places I could go and do just that. ^_^
Not much has happened in the last few months since my last post...I turned down sex. That was interesting. And I don't regret it. That's even more interesting. lol
Oh, for all of you Final Fantasy fans, I've been playing a XBOX 360 game called Mass Effect. It's like Final Fantasy only ten thousand times better. It's the greatest RPG I've ever played.
Well, I've gotta go hang out with family now. I'll stop by again soon I hope. ^_~

Well...
Hello my friends.
*sigh* My life is falling apart. I asked a girl out, she said no. That I could deal with. This girl is my roommate's (Kostik's) ex-girlfriend. He became furious when he heard I'd been in contact with her. We got into a fight. I packed up and left, not wanting to put up with the bullshit. Now, I have two options: my mother told me I can live with her and my father. My father told me I should go back and live with my roommates. My sister doesn't have room at her place, so that's not even an option.
I feel like I have no where to go. I'm almost 100% certain Kostik and I will never be friends again. So be it.
God, I wish I'd never laid eyes on that angel...
These words ring so true to me...
You shine darker than night. You are older than light. You are invisible. (You) have no hull, no face.
And you have been hiding gauntly since the beginning of time: black sun.
You penetrated and numb the mind. You illuminate my mind. You tempt and you steal. You are cold and glow died long ago.
And you have warmed me mentally since the beginning of time: black sun.
You appear in my dream. You caress my black heart. You contribute to the light of the life tree. You free me from pain.
And you have actually been frightening me for all of time: black sun.
You fly faster than light. You are over everything at the same time. You are not mother or father and not the Kingdom of Heaven.
But without you i am nothing for all of time: black sunn.
I burn without end. Demons spare me. Racing, I fear the eye. I freeze, my heart turns to stone. My life is broken. Thrown away and lost.
Ever desirous to follow the smell of blood wildly in the course of Hell. Ever desirous to follow the smell of blood is Cerberus.
The carnivore, the Cerberus, are kept there in the underworld. They burn with hunger for man-flesh.
Hello my friends.
It's been quite a while since my last post. And it didn't seem right not to come back and talk to you all, since you have all been such great and encouraging friends to me over the last few years. Otaku was one of the things that provided me with joy and enlightenment in some of my darkest times.
You all helped me through the time I fell in love, and was then abandoned by her.
You helped me forge my steadfast ideals of Chivalry and Respect, Honor and Justice. Many of you had simular beliefs as I did, which helped me stay strong with my ideas. As I've said before, I've only encountered one other person in my personal life who believes the things I do.
So it is with great love and admiration for you all that I finally bow and take my leave from Otaku. I'll miss you all.
~Angelus
P.S. The legend of Angelus with live on! lol
Final Pictures:
Here are some of the first pictures I ever posted on Otaku...
Hello my friends.
Wow, it's been a while since I was on last. My apologies. I've just been so freaking busy. College is killing me this year. Between college and work and other random shit my time's been cramped beyond belief.
Anyway...
I saw Resident Evil 3: Extinction. Best RE yet. Although I was bummed that there was no Jill Valentine in it. Rumor has it she'll be in the next one. I hope so.
I also bought Halo 3. Which I really couldn't afford, but what the hell. My friend and I have been playing it after we get our homework done after we get back from work.
Well, I'll try my damn hardest to visit some sites. I miss y'all.

Powerful Women in Myths and Games
Hello my friends.
I'm reading the Odyssey by Homer. GREAT book. I'm loving every minute of it. I love the Greek Legends and Myths. Zeus, Athena, Poseidon, Hermes, Odyseus, Calypso, Circe...great characters. And I totally love the way the greeks portrayed women are so powerful, as they did with the Godesses. We need more stories with powerful female characters. The more the merrier. And I love how in Gears of War, Halo, and Bioshock, the player recieves most, if not all, of their information from a female source whom you can radio. The women are the smart ones. Anya of Gears, Cortana of Halo, and Bridgette Tenenbaum of Bioshock. Great stuff.
