New Theme: Demons
Hey! How do you like my new theme, o internet bound friends o mine? lol I have an obsession with demons this week, particularly Dante from Devil May Cry and Hellboy. So my new theme is Demons. I may include some pics of InuYasha now and then, since he's a half-demon like Dante. And they both wear red and have white hair! Maybe they're related. And they both have massive blades! Weird...
Quote of the day: "In religion, folklore, and mythology a demon is a supernatural being that has generally been described as a malevolent spirit, or daemon and djinn." - definition of Demon
Questions:
1) If a demon and a vampire fought, who would win?
2) If a demon and a werewolf fought, who would win?
3) Favorite demon? Anime of otherwise? Half-demons count as well.
My Answers:
1) I've gotta say demon.
2) Demon as well.
3) Hellboy.

Darkness with Reign
I have decided my next theme will go back to the root of my site: vampires and the like. I think a Devil May Cry theme might be cool...
Has anyone visited PainXIX's site lately? Or YunaX's? They both are doing dark themes, and I love it! I've gotta do a scary one...

Long Post to make up for the lost two days...
Hey all. Sorry I haven't posted for 2 days...I've been too busy. I have finals coming up, and I've got to devote almost all my time to preparing for that. I will try to get to a few sites now and then when I get the time. *yawn* So, how's everyone been these last couple of days? I hope well. Hmmm...what to write...my professor gave me a compliment today. After class, I asked her a few questions about in-text citations. Before she answered, she told me she thought I was doing a good job and working really hard on my papers. I was glad to here her say that, for I wasn't sure if I was impressing her or not. And I've always tried to do my best.
My newest paper is my best so far, I think. I might post it when I revise it a few more times.
What else to say...oh, I saw my first crush today. I was about nine or ten when I had a crush on her, and she was sixteen or so. And my God, she was just as breathtaking as I remembered. But, unsurprisingly, she didn't remember who I was, since I have changed so much since then. Her name's Abigail. Ha ha, and it was so weird to look physically down to her. I remember her being so tall when I was young, but she's only about five foot.
Quote of the day: "StarDrifter has spent his entire life regarding everything female as a potential lover." - Faraday from "The Wayfarer Redemption: Pilgrim"
Questions:
1) What is the first thing you do in the morning?
2) What is the last thing you do before bed?
3) How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood? (I will leave this unanswered)
My Answers:
1) 20 push ups.
2) Research.

And here is a story...
Title: "Only a Guy Would Do This" ( I spent the better part of an hour laughing my head off after reading this)
This was submitted by a guy who purchased his lovely wife a "pocket Taser" for their anniversary.
Last weekend I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 22nd anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Toni. What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse-sized taser. The effects of the taser were suppose to be short lived, with no long-term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety....
WAY TOO COOL!
Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home. I loaded two triple-a batteries in the darn thing and pushed the button. Nothing! I was disappointed. I learned, however, that if I pushed the button AND pressed it against a metal surface at the same time; I'd get the blue arch of electricity darting back and forth between the prongs. Awesome!!!
Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to wife, Toni, what that burn spot is on the face of her microwave.
Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two triple-a batteries,... right?
There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target. I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a second) and thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger, I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised. Am I wrong?
So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, taser in another. The directions said that a one-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant; a two-second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control; a three-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on the ground like a fish out of water. Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting the batteries.
All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5" long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference; pretty cute really and loaded with two itsy, bitsy triple-a batteries, thinking to myself, "no possible way!"
What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best.....
I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one side as to say, "don't do it, master," reasoning that a one-second burst from such a tiny little ole thing couldn't hurt all that bad....
I decided to give myself a one-second burst just forthe heck of it. I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION@!@$$!%!@*!!!
I'm pretty sure Jessie Ventura ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again.
I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs.
The cat was standing over me making meowing sounds I had never heard before, licking my face, undoubtedly thinking to herself, "do it again, do it again!"
Note: If you ever feel compelled to "mug" yourself with a taser, one note of caution:
there is no such thing as a one-second burst when you zap yourself.
You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor. A three second burst would be considered conservative. SON-OF-A-.... that hurt like hell!!!
A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape.
My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace. How did they up get there???
My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching. My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs.
I'm still looking for my testicles. I'm offering a significant reward for their safe return.
Still in shock,
Tommy

Unsure of credibility
Hey, Vigro Angel posted this, and I thought I'd do it, too. Although it seems strange to me, that the Make A Wish people would only agree to these terms...anyway, the good of doing it over ranks the possibility of it being a prank or something someone on the internet started...
Hi, my name is Chad Briody. I am 7 years old, and I have a large tumor on my brain and severe lung cancer. The doctors say I will die soon if this isn't fixed, and my family can't pay the bills. But for those who don't repost it, I will still pray for you. Please, if you are a kind person, have a heart. Please, please, PLEASE REPOST THIS MESSAGE!

Warmth and Homework
As before, nothing much to report...yesterday was really beautiful. It was nearly 70 degrees. I opened all the windows and worked on my writings. That was fun. Today, I have to go to work at 3 pm, and I'm going to do homework until then. I have to do three brainstorms and my rough draft from paper #4, as well as a few other little things. Well, I wish you all a great day!
~Angelus (aka Josh) out!
Quote of the day: Lyrics of "Dive"
The long awaited rains
Have fallen hard upon the thirsty ground
And carved their way to where
The wild and rushing river can be found
And like the rain
I have been carried here to where the river flows, yeah
My heart is racing and my knees are weak
As I walk to the edge
I know there is no turning back
Once my feet have left the ledge
And in the rush I hear a voice
That's telling me it's time to take the leap of faith
So here I go
I'm diving in, I'm going deep in over my head, I want to be
Caught in the rush, lost in the flow, in over my head, I want to go
The river's deep, the river's wide, the river's water is alive
So sink or swim, I'm diving in
There is a supernatural power
In this mighty river's flow
It can bring the dead to life
And it can fill an empty soul
And give a heart the only thing
Worth living and worth dying for, yeah
But we will never know the awesome power
Of the grace of God
Until we let our selves get swept away
Into this holy flood
So if you'll take my hand
We'll close our eyes and count to three
And take the leap of faith
Come on let's go
Questions:
1) If you could have wings, would you want them to be like a bat's or a bird's? And what color?

My Answers:
1) Like a birds (or angels) and black.
2) I'm against it.
3) Rei.

Camp
Hey...nothing much to report, really. Just the same old...oh, I got the summer camp job. But, to be perfectly honest, I'm not even sure I want it. ): I love my current job, and I'm sure they'll want me to stay. I found out the Market's not going out of buisness. But my mother insists that I must take this new one. And with valid cause. The pay is much higher, and it will more than fund my next year at college. And I am going to take it...but I'll miss my friends at my old work. *tear* But the girl I like that works at the YMCA, Stephanie, might work at that camp too...I'm sure I'll be a great example for the kids. I swear, I will not act like Miroku in the least. *wink wink* lol
Quote of the day: "Beauty killed the beast." - Carl from "King Kong"
Questions:
1) King Kong or Godzilla?
2) What do you think is the ultimate goal of life?
3) Which is better: A hug or a kiss?
My Answers:
1) Kong! (pounds on chest)
2) For me, it's to protect the women I love. I would like to protect all women, but I'm only one man...(and no, I am not a player. lol)
3) There is nothing more comforting than a hug, if you ask me. When it's a girl, that is. (Did I ever mention I'm girl crazy?)

Dark Kingdom, Writer's Center, and Einstein
The vote for my next theme went highly for Lord of the Rings. In second place was Evanescence, followed by Hellboy. Just thought you might like to know.
Anyway, yesterday was fun. Just as busy as the day before, but fun nonetheless. However, there was a bad hour when I went to get my paper reviewed at the Writer's Center. First off, the reviewer was about 20 and male, and I would have preffered an old granny who's been around for a while and knows what she's talking about. But the guy did give good advice, and I feel that I can improve my paper with what he told me, but he was just...not the best "teacher". And he was extreamly rude. No clue why.
Last night was the conclusion of "Dark Kingdom: the Dragon King". That was a awesome, sweeping epic. It lived up to the reputation it has earned as the tale that inspired the Lord of the Rings. But it was extreamly tragic. Still, it is worth seeing on DVD. I might even buy it if I have some extra cash on me the next time I go shopping.
Oh, and we had a substitute instructor in my class yesterday. He was awesome. He looked like Einstein. Honestly. Ha ha, although he contantly popped off jokes that were extreamly corny. But that made class more entertaining.
Quote of the day: "I'll handle them." - Neo from "The Matrix: Reloaded"
Questions:
1) If you could be any anime character, which one would you choose?
2) The Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter?
3) Would you like being immortal?
My Answers:
1) Kouga from "InuYasha"
2) Lord of the Rings!!!
3) I think I would. If I was a vampire.
