Softball...
The game was to be played with no time limit, a full seven innings. I didn't start out pitching, but I pitched innings three, four, five and six, since you can only pitch four innings in a game. I didn't walk a single person. One time they hit a ground back at me to my side and I threw her out at first. Another time it was poppd up in the air in front of me and I caught it and threw out the girl who was already on first because she had come off. Other innings I played left field because they could hit it far out there. One went way over my head, I had no chance, but I got it back in fast enough to hold her at third. Another time they popped one up and I was playing really deep so I had to run in to get it. I actually went to far and the ball hit my wrist and fell to the ground. I picked it up and threw it to third base to get someone out anyway. So yeah, I did good fielding. And while I pitched they only scored one run. Not that I'm fast or anything, because I'm definately not, but they'd hit and we'd get them out. Our best pitcher wasn't there though..
Batting was another story. I'm supposed to be the team's best hitter along with Grace, who wasn't there. That meant they were expecting me to do well. I struck out all three times. I keep dropping my back shoulder and swinging under the ball! I was the third out in the seventh inning and we lost five to three. It sucked so bad.
We went for ice cream afterwards and I'm standing there laughing and joking around with everyone while inside I'm forcing myself not to cry. Yeah... It really sucked. I haven't forgiven myself and I won't for a long time, knowing me. I always forgive others too easily but then beat myself up about things when I do something wrong...
