Lockdown!!!
Oh my gosh. Today at school around 9:40 they came over the announcements and told all the teachers to secure their rooms for a lockdown. We thought that, because of what happened in Virginia, that it was a practice, but Senora Lipp, my Spanish teacher, said that it wasn't. So we locked the door and turned off all the lights and sat there in the dark for almost two hours. About forty minutes into the lockdown the Principal came on and said that he had sent an email to the teachers, so Senora Lipp looked at it and told us that the situation was serious. So we sat there in the dark for about two hours, maybe a little less, and then the principal comes back on and explains that some kid came in and reported a guy wandering around the school during passing period with a handgun, and tells us that we're going to start evacuating the school cause the area is secure, they said, and go across the street to the Community Center that was there. Ok, so our school has about 1300 people in it, kids and staff, so that took forever! I was in lockdown from 9:40 to 1:05. That's a freakin' long time! We were locked in our room for so long that over half the kids had to use the bathroom, and it got so bad that we actually pushed a garbage can in the corner and held blankets up for people so they could use the bathroom. (We had tissues for tp, too.) So its feelin' kind of homey in our classroom, right? People have peed in a garbage can and it doesn't smell (since there were only a couple of people that did it), and we're pretty much just messing around. Cell phones are out, there's a card game goin, everything. So a school administrator finally comes and knocks on our door and tells us to let him in, and we line up, hands on the shoulders of the person in front of us, and we file out into the hallway.
I have never seen more police and investigative officers in my life. There were guys roamin the halls, checking the empty classrooms, and they're wearin' safety vests and helmets, and they have guns. Oh my freaking heck this suddenly got scary! So we file downstairs and out the doors, and head across the street. I swear if I had breathed any faster I would have been hyperventilating. I was so scared. So we get over there, and since ours was one of the last to evacuate, they seated us and told us what was going on.
Principal: "...At ten to one this afternoon we recieved a notice from the person who had informed us of the armed man came back in and told us that he had lied, and the report was fake. We thank you all very much for your obedience and cooperation (blah blah)... You wouldn't want to be this kid right now, let me tell you... The good news is that we don't have school for the rest of the day-" *pause for cheers-* "but the bad news is that we have to make this day up at the end of the year." *Wait for loud booing, etc* "We will now let you go by sections to leave or meet parents."
I was like, WTHeck???? This is absolutely ridiculous. And it was a freshman. How stupid. So I left school after doing absolutely nothing but sit in lockdown for almost four hours, and have to pee really bad! I hadn't gone, by the time I finally got to go, for eight hours!
So today was totally weird, and yet it was so scary to think that some guy might be wandering around ready to kill people. How sad!
So how was your day?

Oh my gosh the concert last night was amazing. I was so grateful to be able to be a part of it!
So we played Russian Easter and Caprichio Italiano first, and that went really well. Even at the concert I played all my songs better than I did at the rehearsal only hours before! Then we played Tchaikowsky's Piano Concerto, and we had a lady come in and play the piano part, and she was simply amazing. She had the entire thing, all three movements, memorized. Memorized! That's a ton of music! Cadenzas and all. It was so amazing. That's the only way to put it. I had so much fun, and I found out that I have to audition in the fall anyways, but my apprenticeship will continue all next season, until the last concert of the 07-08 season. I'll get paid in April next year, at the last concert. I'm so excited! And I made Chamber for next year. My orch teacher redid the entire system. He did away with freshman orch, but will still have three orchestras: Chamber, which is the big orchestra that cares about how each and every note sounds; Sinfonia Orch, which is the people who care about every note, but can't make it in to Chamber for whatever reason; and, to put it bluntly, the sucky orchestra, for the people who really don't care, but are in it for the credit. I'm so excited! I'm playing with the adults! Good music, like the stuff they record! Aaaaaack! *hearts float around head* Hope you guys had a good weekend! Did you do anything special? Are you achieving any goals recently, or are close?

Yayness!
ZOMGosh, I'm so happy! We just had our last rehearsal for Symphony today, and the concert is tonight! I'm doing sooooo well, and I'm sooooo proud of myself. Then later tonight there's an activity at my church, from 8:30 to 10, so I'm going to be up late tonight anyways! But that's ok. I don't care. I'm sooooo psyched!!! This will be the last concert for the season, and then we're done for the summer. It'll start again in the fall, but then I think I actually have to audition. I'm so excited! And I'm just rambling...
I know I said I'd post my pic of Mew Symphony, but I haven't really had the time to color it, what with school and Symphony, and my usual lessons and stuff. Next week will be better. I've also started my manga, but I don't know how well that will turn out, cuz everyone knows I can't really draw as well as, say, Shrine-Maiden, and everyone else. (I love you Shrine-chan!)
So I'll do my best to get back on track! How has your day been?

La la la...
Ugh.. I'm friggin tired. I had my first Symphony rehearsal last night, and they go from 7:30 to 9:30 (if they end on time...) And I can't drive yet (yet being the keyword, its close) so Mother had to come get me, but by the time I was ready to go (9:50) she had papers everywhere, and it took her almost twenty minutes to come get me. And then we couldn't just go home, we had to go run a few minor errands. At ten at night? Whatever. So I didn't get to bed until midnight. And I wake up at 5:30, too.... Anywho, it was tons of fun. I did really well on the first two songs, cause I practiced the hardest parts. The third song I pretty much just had fun with cause it was a little harder, but I know I'll get it. We have three more rehearsals, and the concert's on Saturday. It's gonna be so much fun. I'm so excited!!!
So how are you all today? And how was your Easter?

Darn it!
Ok, I know my site looks like toast, but I can't help it! I want the background image to show through, but I don't know how, which really makes me mad! I just can't figure it out if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know so we can quite killing our eyes looking at my ugly site! Thanks so much for bearing with me as well as I try to become somewhat tecchy savvy. *sigh* Man, I suck at life...
Anywho, I think I'll try a few requests if anyone has any, and art trades are definitely open! I also have a new TMM oc that I drew today, but I can't think of a decent name! So I'll post it sometime in the near future. (I hope)
So.. yeah. I'm about to be overtaken by reality, so once again, help please!!!

Nya
Today has been pretty boring, and if anyone tells me its a Monday, then I think I'll slap them. No offense....
So I'm going to Utah for a wedding this weekend. I get out of school on Thursday - only a half a day! And no school on Friday, and I'll come back on Sunday. I'm so excited! I get to see my grandpa! ^^
Keep on dreaming guys: it's what keeps us alive!

I decided to move Web Page Design to my Senior year and settle with a half a year of Jazz Band. Now I have to take WPD by myself! *cries* I know, I'm a baby... Anywho, I'm going to try and enter two contests, and do an art trade, so if anyone else wants to do an art trade, I'm open! I haven't submitted anything in a long time - besides that contest entry for animekitty23 - and I really don't draw unless I get some sudden inspiration, so... yeah. Art trades ahoy!

Rejected
I went in to the counseler's office today, asking about the independent study deal, and the lady vetoed it the instant I stopped speaking. Apparently it's an inconvenience for the teacher more than it is for the student. But I really want to take jazz band, so since I can't do that, I'm going to see if I can take the last half of my computer credits my senior year and take at least a half a year of jazz band. Its better than nothing...
So I really hate the school system, and it hates me. And to top it all off, my wonderful aunt and uncle and their six male terrors are here. I love them all, I promise you, but the behavior of the boys is simply natural. And they all have to use my bathroom (go figure.) So... yeah. *fwee*
