   Boom Boom
Yeah so I remembered this funny thing that happened in band class the other day (Like, on Thursday) but it was pretty funny, so I'll share it XD

So about a week ago or whatever there was a sub in band (I wasn't there cuz I had orchestra that day), and you know how music subs are right? They can kinda direct and all, but not really. So we're playing Riverdance, and there's a section for percussion on it called Thunder and Lightning, and its all percussion. So the director was like (according to my sources) "Ok percussion, do your thing, show off, whatever." So they begin their little section and a little ways in they evolve into "Boom Boom" which would be a Drumline cadenza for, like pep band. So the director's like "now wait a second, that's not written!" and the band was all crackin' up.

Needless to say the percussion section got chewed out for that.

So last Thursday (I was there this time) we were sitting there, and there's another sub. Our teacher was loading up equipment for the All-State Jazz Band trip, so he was still there when we played. Lo and behold, we decide to play Riverdance. So we get to the Thunder and Lightning part and a few lines in our teacher comes running in from his office, literally running, and he stands there with his arms crossed watching the percussion as they play it. It was the funniest thing, and we sat there and laughed the entire way through it.

So band class is a gag reel. But when we get to concerts the change that comes over us (especially the percussion) is amazing. Suddenly we are professional and everything. So our band pretty much rocks. It rocks your band, in fact. You guys can't win. So there. (lol)
