   Hayao Miyazaki = Genius
Yesterday, I watched Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away (I bought it at Best Buy with a gift certificate I got at my grad party). Besides being completely blown away by the animation, I feel as if I’ve been witness to a masterpiece. After watching some of the "special features", I found out that other than being the writer of the actual storyline, Miyazaki-san illustrates his own storyboards, directs the movies once they are ready for production, and even writes lyrics for the soundtrack. Talk about over-achiever...XP. Anyway, I really loved the movie. It's about a little girl named Chihiro who gets tangled up in a world of spirits. She befriends a boy named Haku (very charming btw, bishie material) and has to work at a bath-house in order to save her parents (who have conveniently been turned into pigs). Very delightful movie. Recommended if you need a new movie to watch. Runtime: 125 mins.
