Sitting in the library...

Yeah, I'm sitting in the town public library. After they close in... twenty minutes, I'll join my mom downstairs with the knitting club and I'll knit for a while. And I'm a bit hungry... hopefully desert will be in the offering when I get home. ^^

Back to school today. *sigh* Well, good thing is, my friend has a prom ticket and a prom dress! ^^ Wee! We're going! It's this Saturday the prom is. Can't wait! XD

Well, bye. *vanishes*

Edge Walker's Oath

I here to swear this is what I, ___________, believe and want.

To be no one.
To watch from a distance.
To be like the fog on the lake,
You can grasp,
But you can’t catch.

To, occasionally, involve myself
With chosen key people
And events.
And see how that alters things.

To let no one know me.
To only involve myself intimately
With fellow Edge Walkers,
For they know how it feels.

To walk the edge of the worlds.
To observe and record.
To say, this was this then,
And this is this now.

Join our ranks,
Become one of us.
Be the shadow in the night.
Be our comrade.

*Teneil, head of all Edge Walkers hands new edge walker a cloak of office*

You are now no one,
Just as we are.

Thank you, my friends and comrades. I now have a goal, a reason. That is my life as an Edge Walker.

***********************

I wrote this a while ago, and I've decided to post it. It's very indicitive of the average Edge Walker's attitude. There are variants, of course. Teneil is the absolute head of the Edge Walkers, though she does have advisors. And, there are some non-humans in their ranks.

Bye. *vanishes*

Wings

Feathery,
or perhaps
leathery,
they allow one
to soar
through the air.

Membranes stretched
between bones,
or feathers
in neat lines;
wings must be
a wonderful thing
to have.

Well, d'ja like it?

Silent Face

Hidden behind
a mask,
or a hood...
quiet eyes watch.
No fear in them.

Never speeking,
the mouth
is a straight line.

My bro's watching Mythbusters behind me. It looks like he's switching to bugs bunny cartoons, though... Yeah, he is. *shrug* Whatever...

I've actually been playing Harvest Moon reciently. Yeah, I haven't played it in a while. Animal Crossing: Wild World has been taking up my time.

Ach, I'm hungry... Dessert time soon! ^^

Spring is here! ^^

Ah, yes, spring has come. How do I know? Because there are a lot of green bits poking up out of our flower gardens. It'll be lovely, really, when the driveway bed is full of bright flowers...

*sigh* Poor poor Gaara... His life's been rotten really. Well, perhaps up until he fought Naruto, but really: sibs that fear you, a village that hates you, a dad who sends assasins after you, a mom who's dead, an uncle that pertends to love you but really hates your guts, and a monster inside of you would really mess up a kid.
Just a random thought: paperwork and beeing stuck behnind a desk would suck when your a teen and used to a active lifestyle.

Oh! And SJ came in today. The appearacne of Ero-sennen in full! Well, we do get a glimps(sp?) of him at the end of last SJ, but... this is where we see the delightful arguing between him and Naru.

Well got to go now. Bye. *vanishes*

SPORKS!!!

Um yeah, ignore the title. ^^' I'm just getting on before dinner here. The living room is rather rearranged right now, so I'm upstairs.

I LOVE MAHJONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahem. My random outburst syndrome is really active today. *sigh* And I have been playing a lot of Mahjong reciently, while listening to some of the tunes I have on the computer.

Well, yeah, bye, *vanishes*

Happy earth day!

Yeah, it's Earth Day. I went out to pick up trash earlier and found a ton of beer cans and bottles near the graveyard down the road. Some even had liquid still in them... Yeah, that graveyard must be a sorta big party spot. *shrug*

And I wrote a poem reciently. Here it is!

**********

Lesson

What do you see, child?
I see a dry desert, master.
It streches as far
as the eye can see.
Oh! There’s a village over there.
Is that where we’re going?

What do you see, child?
I see a forgotten village, master.
It’s obvious that no outsider
has visited for years.
Look how they stare!

What do you see, child?
I see a small shrine, master.
Look, here comes the priest.
Do you know him, master?
He’s certainly bowing low to you.

What do you see, child?
I see people coming stare at you.
They act like you’re a god,
which is impossible,
because you’re a person,
and you can’t be both, right?

What do you see, child?
I see your portrait over the altar.
It’s a pretty good likeness too.
Have you been here before, master?

What do you see, child?
I see people bringing
you flowers, master.
They call you their savior.
Oh, are these ones for me?

What have you learned, child?
That things people do
can have long ranging effects,
like sainthood, or something.
What did you do
for these people, anyway?
Make it rain or what?

*******************

Yeah, that's a lesson Desert Man taught his assistant Mishina. He's older than all the stars in the sky, btw. And to answer your question, ElvesAteMyRamen, the thing that was lifting from around Naruto was the time warp the boy put on him so that he would run out of energy. (I cannot fahtom how to spell... what Naruto calls cat-chra.)

Bye. *vanishes*

Went to school today.

For those of you that don't know, I got my wisdom teeth out on tuesday. Yeah, so that's what I've been talking about.

Prom is comming up! I'm going with my best friend. I've got my dress (I'll try to post a pic of it) and we're getting hers monday after next. Cause we've vacation next week. Horray for va-kas! ^^ Yeah, our school has it's own dress shop for prom. And her mom is in with it and everything.

BTW, I wrote a small fic a while ago. I'll post it and you can tell me if I should continue.

***************

Naruto Uzumaki was running through a forest, but he wasn’t quite sure why. Trees whipped past him and he could see a village in the distance. Kyuubi was pumping energy into his body, and directing him toward said village.
Naruto noticed a large tree in his way. He growled at it and slammed his shoulder into it. It creaked loudly, then fell with a resounding crash. Grunting with satisfaction, Naruto continued onward.
A short while later a shoulder slammed into his stomach, knocking Naruto back. Getting up, he noticed a girl of about ten standing before him, arms crossed and a stubborn look on her face. “You go no farther!” she informed him.
However Naruto, drunk on Kyuubi’s energy as he was, wasn’t about to listen. He charged the girl on all fours. As his body slammed into hers, she grabbed him by his gaudy orange jacket and threw him back onto the stump of the tree he had knocked down earlier.
“You go no farther!” the girl said again, stomping a foot. “You’ll disturb the treasure!”
Looking up, Naruto saw a giant crystal rising out of the middle of the village. It sparkled in the afternoon light. Kyuubi screamed at him to destroy it. Once again, Naruto charged the girl. This time, she charged as well and fists flew.
Later, Naruto could not say just how the fight went. He was pretty sure that he was too high on demon energy to use any advanced techniques, and the girl was not averse to biting him. In fact, most of her parries involved chomping down the attacking hand or foot, very hard.
After a time, Naruto sensed that his opponent was beginning to tire. Just as he was about to finish her, she rolled back and called over her shoulder, “Okay, now!”
Naruto looked up and saw a boy about the same age as the girl standing on a tree limb. The boy made a net casting motion with both hands and Naruto vaguely felt something settle around him. Seeing the girl limp out of his way, he eagerly charged once again toward the village.
It was a little while before Naruto fuzzily noticed something was wrong. The village got no closer. Frustrated, he drew on more of Kyuubi’s energy and ran forward faster. Then he noticed something else. The world around him seemed to be going in extreme slow motion. The people came from the village to look at him moved as slow as snails. Not knowing what else to do, Naruto continued running. What seemed like an eternity later, the sun started setting. When the sun finally slid below the horizon, Kyuubi’s energy finally… petered out.
Naruto swayed and collapsed to the ground. As he fell unconscious, he felt something lift from around him.

Like it? Well, bye. *vanishes*
