I'm hanging upside down for dear life.

One could also say,
I suppose,
"Hanging ON upside down
for dear life",
and add,
for good measure you understand,
"If I don't I'll fall
to my doom"
and also add,
in the interest of dramatics,
"Doom doom doom..."
Which would make the asker think
that I was insane,
So I'll stick with
my original statement.
"I'm hanging upside down for dear life."
