If it isn't up now, I think I need a nap.
Ok. I can see it. Can you see it? I really don't know why it would happen that I can see it but others can't.

Annoyance!!!!!

:take a deep breath:

I'm ok.

   geez.
WHATTHEHELL? I put up a new background last night, or maybe I was hallucinating? It should be up now, and you should be able to see the pretty-by Satoshi picture.

If it disappears again, I'll just have to find something else.

   ah, visibility
Ok, I know that having Hiwatari Satoshi in a near-cheescake-boy position is a little--well, actually a lot--not my style, but it gives my text great visibility. And he's really pretty, isn't he? *sigh* I really do like guys with oddly colored hair, it seems.
Besides, he isn't the little bastard he makes himself out to be.

Let's go tot the Barbie Party!!!
Ok. The Barbies, for anyone who doesn't know, are a group of girls (and one guy--how he's straight, I'll never understand) that I go to school with who are very prissy and were all in sororities. They are trying to suck me in. But since it was the one guy in our class's birthday party, I decided WHAT THE HELL. I went to the party, and it really wasn't that bad. However, I've never seen so many people talk during a movie!! It was a good movie, too. The Fifth Element...ah, Luc Besson.

Anyway...The Barbies all got drunk and were really loud and there was nearly a fight. Greaaaat.

Oh, I guess Barbie shouldn't drink. But the food I brought was appreciated by all. They very nearly ate ALL of the dip I made, which is quite an accomplishment, as I've brought the same amount of dip to parties with two or three times that number of people, and it never got to that point.

Ah. I'm glad to be back in my messy, tiny, Barbie-free apartment.

I have been putting latin quotes at the end of my posts for the last couple, but I found the absolute best one.

Estne volumen in toga, an solum tibi libet me videre? (Is that a scroll in your toga, or are you just happy to see me?)

tee-hee.

Tell, me you guys...is this rude?
OK. I got my 13th guestbook entry. Now, I might be overly sensitive, but I thought it was a little rude. Here it is:

Wow...April youre one of the oldest anime fan ive seen yet and quite literally youve liked it since ive been born.thats amazing.i dont care about your site you seem fasanating!id love to chat more but im still a kid with a habit of getting in trouble with his parents

Now, one thing that you NEVER EVER EVER EVER do is tell a female that she's old. Another thing, especially since I actually spend a good amount of time on my site is that this person actually said they don't care about it. Now, I would have preferred that they keep that little tidbit to themselves. Also, I'm apparently fascinating. What the heck am I? Some kind of specimen for study? Geesh. I get enough of that at work. So yeah, there's definate flamage going on right now, and the steam is about to come out of my ears. Basically, I will reiterate the statement that comes with every guestbook: BE NICE.

Try not to offend me. I know where your site is, too!!!!

   ARGH.
As you might have guessed, I'm not exactly feeling peachy keen today. I work in a museum, and there are all of these dead animals in there. I had to go into the room with all of the dead animals are stored, and it was pretty creepy, first off. Then I opened one of the cabinets, and got a nice big whiff of dead and preserved birds. I ran to the bathroom, and I very nearly threw up. I had come back from lunch a few minutes earlier, and well, you understand.
Now, I'm not sure, but I think I might have a fever. I sound like an old lady...

I'm going to be going to bed soon. I have lovely music to help me to relax, though. Thanks, raavahn.

   Thanks to people...
I know that only 12 people have signed my book so far, but I have gotten a few friends out of the deal, so that's great. I wanted to say thanks to everyone who signs my book and sends me nice/odd/funny PM's.

You guys are great. Like I said. If I need to be distracted, my friends are a wonderful way to do that.

Take it easy you guys (you know who you are).

   A little debate.
Ok. So on and off for a post and a few comments, I've been haveing a sort of kiddie stick-my-tongue-out-at-you debate with ravaahn about whether Ah!My Goddess is girlie anime.
My standpoint:
Ah!My Goddess IS girlie anime. Lots of blushing, near-kissing, and boys having bad things happen to them because of girls. Oh, and it's pretty, too.
Ravaahn's view:
Ah!My Goddess isn't that girlie because it is really funny.

Oh, I totally agree that it's funny. I mean, there are parts where I just wanted to fall out of my chair laughing at it. But can't it be girlie and funny at the same time? The whole debate, I'm sure he'd agree, has become a little silly, with both of us just repeating outselves. It reminds me of how I used to act when I was little, and I would fight with my sister. Until I actually came up with reasons for thinking something, we had this type of debate: "Is not!"..."Is too!" And so on and so forth ad infinitum.

Ah, isn't nice to feel like a kid?

;P

   Mmm...children are crunchy.
Ok. So my presentation went ok, but that is not the reason for my post. What I wan to rant about is the kids I had to deal with today.

One reason that I have the grandiose amount of patience that I do is because I worked at a daycare for more than two years. I dealt with blood, puke, lice, and any manner of other disaster that one could possibly imaging (including a kid being bitten by a small rodent....the blood!) But tonight, I was tested.

I volunteered at a special function at the museum at school. There were over 3,000 people there, and more ill-behaved poorly-supervised children than you could shake a stick at. Only two hours of dealing with those horrible brats, and it reminds me of why I never want to work in a daycare EVER again.

So there was a scavenger hunt with riddles. I was supposed to stamp the kids' papers when they came up and answered a specific riddle correctly. I was to do this for the fourth grade, and only for the fourth grade.

Then this kid, obviously not in the fourth grade (he was a very ill-mannered young brat of nearly 15), came up and asked me to stamp his paper. Now, not only was I not supposed to, but he could potentially not get credit for his stuff back at school if I did. He just did not seem to understand this, and neither did his Arnold Schwarzenegger-look-alike mother.

I had to go and get someone else to try to help them figure out where he was supposed to go, before I just rounded on him and slapped his face. He was very rude, and I hope I never meet him again.

Vent Concluded.

   Ahhhh. wonderful relief.
Yippeeee! My papers are finished! And not a moment too soon, either! My presentation is tomorrow, but I haven't really prepared. Um, I think I might just have to wing it. I know the information, and I'm pretty sure I can do it. So, guess what I did after I was done writing my paper this evening? I watched about ten episodes of another anime I finished downloading this morning...DN Angel...ah, what a lovely anime. It's really not that unrealistically drawn. There are some parts that are characteristically manga-like, but that's not such a bad thing, when you consider that it's the comedic parts (it isn't like they were going for Samurai X-style realism). The computer-generated imaging blends in really well with the hand-drawn, too. All in all, I think I'm getting a new favorite!!!

Not that Daisuke will ever replace Kenshin...oh, no one is that good. Kenshin is the best, hands down, and no one could possibly beat him...ok. Enough fan-girl ranting for the night.

One more episode of DN Angel, and then it's --off to bed--I have a big day tomorrow. I have to conquer that fear of lecture.
