Costume for Oni-Con update
Well, I've gone and done it. I have now spent twenty more dollars on fabric. Will it never end? I am not really getting annoyed with it, except for the mask part. I've figured out a way to do it, I just have to go out and get the stuff.
I have enough resin, mold release, and catalyst to make the mask, but I will need some other things. I need to find a round mold big enough to accommodated my face, and I'll be needing flexible masking tape, an exacto knife, spray paint, and acrylic sealant.
The only problem: fire hazard. Resin is a very flammable substance, and I have enough to make a small bomb. Not that I would, mind you. That stuff comes in handy every now and again. In any case, I should be starting on that some time next week.
I just hope that I can stand the smell, and that my landlord doesn't catch me. I could get evicted just for having the stuff in my apartment.
I don't have the energy to actually find a new latin phrase, so I'll go with my favorite.
Et tu, Brutte?--Julius Caesar, Julius Caesar, W. Shakespeare.
Old hat is better than no hat, I always say.
