   a mental health day
Listening To: I Ran, Bowling for Soup (cover of Flock of Seagulls song)
Attempting: absolutely nothing. And it feels damned good.

I know some of you know already that I had that crazy assignment, which kicked my ass up and down the street. It's finished. I'm soooo glad. Now, I am going to be going into the real city this weekend for what my dear friend childofserenity calls "a mental health day."

This will be a group trip, with probably about 10-15 other people. It's a student organization that I belong to. We're going into Austin, TX to go to the Capitol building (zzzz) and the Umlauff (sp?) Sculpture Garden. Sounds pretty neat, then we'll be going to Katz's for lunch...mmmm.

So, yeah. It's going to be good for my mental health to get out of my apartment for a little bit.

On a completely unrelated note, I watched a LOT of Initial D: Second Stage last night. It's interesting. I never thought that a racing anime would be that great, but apparently I was wrong. Oh, crap. I said I was wrong! The world will come to an end!

On suggestion of my friend Ian, I'm downloading Hajime no Ippo. It's a boxing anime. I'm not sure of it. Usually, Ian's taste is impeccable. However, any anime in which more than one character has a pompador hairdo has just GOT to have some major flaws (cough-Yu Yu Hakusho-cough). Damn. What was that? Must have been dust.
