update
After receiving a cryptic letter from his sister, Ayaka, Eiji Shigure sneaks into the opulent castle of the mysterious Klein Sandman to seek out his missing sibling. Gathered there for an ostentatious gala event, the senior political and military leaders of the Earth Federation Alliance await the arrival of Mr. Sandman and the announcement he has in store for them. When the man of the hour finally does arrive, the news he brings is of a grave nature. A mysterious alien foe, the Zeravire, has laid waste to Earth’s deep range colonies and outposts, and is now heading straight for the cradle of civilization—Planet Earth.
Skeptical of Mr. Sandman’s outrageous claims, the President of the Earth Federation Alliance is soon forced to eat his words when confirmation of the attacks reaches him shortly afterwards. Military units of the EFA respond to confront the alien threat, but prove no match for their formidable foe. Sandman’s own forces, the Gran Knights, have likewise been sortied to confront the alien foe. Eiji, having eluded the patrols that were searching for him, as well as plummeting off a platform after his encounter with Toga, finds himself in the launch bay of the Gran Divas. Thinking that he has found an air bike, he climbs aboard and makes his escape from Sandman’s castle. In reality, Eiji has boarded the Gran Diva G-Attacker and has now flown right into the middle of the ensuing battle.

The Gran Knights take the fight to the Zeravire as the alien monsters ravage the city. Eiji, however, isn’t managing to control the G-Attacker too well, earning him an earful from Luna, one of the pilots of the G-Driller. Interrupting their friendly quarrel, the Zeravire’s main body arrives on the battlefield. Toga in the Gran Kaiser tries to attack, but the mighty blue mecha is ineffective against the Zeravire’s powerful armor. Seeing this, Sandman orders the Gran Knights to combine their mechs into one. Unfortunately, Eiji can’t take the incredible G forces involved and blacks out, causing his fighter to fall out of formation and plummet to the ground. He manages to recover and pull out in the nick of time, but becomes distracted by Luna yelling at him and heads straight for the Zeravire, who is powering up to fire at him.

Rescued from the jaws of death by a mysterious stealth fighter, the G-Shadow, Eiji and the others assume formation to form a powerful god of circuits and steel, the saviour of the modern age—Gravion! Will this modern age deity be able to defend the citizens of Earth against the terrible threat that the planet now faces? Will the young band of orphaned misfits destined to control Gravion’s formidable power be ready to confront the Zeravire’s horrendous plans for humanity? And will the gang be able to stop fighting amongst themselves long enough to get the job done? Find out all of this and more by picking up ADV’s release of Gravion!
