100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED, FULL FLAVOUR

I have a new desktop. It's a giant anime kitty destroying a small city. Miraculously, the only building not on fire is the fast food joint.

We went to Circuit City today to buy movies and video games. Unfortunately, they didn't have any cheap video games that I wanted. They did, however, have a number of movies that I liked that were reasonably under priced. Although when I think about it, it's not that hard to stock movies that I like because there's about a bijillion of them. But I digress. They had Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Jackie Brown and all were under $20, but I only bought Pulp Fiction because it's the only one I've seen.

Now, I know that sometime before summer ends, I'll go back to Circuit City to buy the last two because I'll have seen them and will then want to own them. Really, what are the chances of me not liking them? It was more a "I don't really want to spend that much money today" thing.

They had Labyrinth and Dark Crystal in a double pack for $30, which I find kind of ridiculous. What's even worse than that, though, is that they had Metropolis (the silent film version, not the anime version) for $25. Something about that seems really off to me. It's a great film, yeah, but I'm under the impression that it's much too old to be $25. Is it worth the buy? It can be argued, sure. But not when I'm feeling particularly cheap.

They didn't have The Bourne Identity. At all. I'm beginning to believe there's some kind of conspiracy afoot.

I've got some movies to watch. One of these is Pulp Fiction because I've had it on the brain since I watched it yesterday. There's a specific part that I want to watch, as well, because it gave me a rough idea for a new RPG. How exciting, yay!

The other movie is Seven Samurai. It's about this little Japanese villages that's being attacked by bandits and other such bad men. The village eventually enlists the aid of these seven samurai warriors to help them out. I saw it late one night many, many years ago, and I stumbled upon it recently and decided it was high time to view this classic again. In the US it was later re-made into The Magnificant Seven, which I have never seen. When I finish this one, though, I'll let you know how cool it is.

So what does all this add up to? Simply that I have spent my entire summer watching movies. Damn straight. ^_~

Warm, warmer, disco!

I'm exceedingly happy to announce that I finally saw one Pulp Fiction in its entirety this very evening. I believe that tomorrow, I will watch it again, and then I will sit down and think about it before searching online for sites and talking to various people. I've got some ideas already. This is so exciting, even though it means my geek-ness is totally confirmed.

But I wonder: what's in the briefcase?

I leave you to ponder that, and this ridiculously long survey while I go frolick somewhere pretty.

001) What time are you starting this?: 10:31 PM

002) Name?: Megan

003) Date of birth?: May 14, 1985

004) Sex?: I'm a lady. ^_~

005) Height?: 5’3"

006) Eye color?: Brown

007) Weight?: 110 pounds, give or take.

008) Location?: Sunny Florida, US of A

009) Where were you born?: In Louisianna, actually. New Orleans.

010) Have you ever failed a grade?: No, but I think it's kind of funny how anybody who's not from the US gets confused on this question. Hee hee.

011) If you have, what grade did you fail?: N/A

012) Do you have crush on someone?: Not that I'm aware of.

013) Do you have a bf/gf?: Negative, ghostrider.

014) If so, what is their name?: N/A

015) How long have you been together?: N/A

016) What are you wearing right now?: Ah, from top to bottom? Blue undies, blue jeans with holes in them, an old t-shirt, those low, white socks (also with a hole), tennis shoes, and a hat that looks suspiciously like a train conductor's.

017) Would you have sex before marriage?: I plan to.

018) Have you ever had a crush on any of your teachers?: No, not really.

019) Are you a virgin?: Yep.

021) Do you drink?: Very rarely.

022) Are you ghetto?: No, I'm pretty white.

023) Are you a player?: Nope.

025) What is your favorite animal?: I kind of like them all. I've always like raccoons, though, and sharks, whales, horses, wolves, and big cats.

027) Have you ever gotten your ass kicked?: Nope.

028) Who are your best friends?: I get along really well with my siblings (which is very important to me), but other than family, probably Babs, Meg, Natalie, and Lauren, though I haven't talked to Lauren in awhile.

034) Do you shower?: Often. I love my showers.

035) Do you hate school?: Actually, I love going to class. Until it's time for exams.

036) Do you have a social life?: Yes, I do indeed.

037) How easily do you trust people?: I try to see the good in everyone, I guess, so there's always some kind of minimum of trust. But for the big things, you have to earn it.

038) Have you ever lied to your best friends?: Yeah, little white ones. I try not to make a habit of it.

039) Do you have a secret people would be surprised knowing?: Of course. Don't all secrets come with some amount of surprise?

040) Would you ever sky dive?: For a long time I said I wouldn't, but my friend has a horrible influence on me concerning "extreme sports". I think I'd have to work my way up to it. Start little, like parasailing, and then up to the next best thing.

041) Do you like to dance?: Hell yeah.

042) Do you like your handwriting?: It's mine. Of course I like it.

044) What is the compliment you get most from people?: That I get most? Uh, ... probably that I write well.

054) Are you aggressive or passive?: Definitely depends on what we're talking about and how much I care.

055) Have you got a journal?: I have many journals.

056) What is your greatest strength and weakness?: I don't even know. I guess I set some pretty high standards for myself and others, which really qualifies for both catagories.

057) If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be, why?: I wish I would exercise more.

058) There are three wells: love, beauty and creativity; which one would you drink out of?: Love. Love is like oxygen, love lifts you up where you belong, all you need is love!

060) Do you think you are emotionally strong?: Yes, I do.

061) Do you live in the moment?: Probably not enough.

062) Do you have any bad habits?: Well, duh.

063) What is the most important lesson you've learned from life?: Forgive, and forgive again, but don't forget.

065) And least?: I'd like straighter shoulders, maybe.

066) Do you think you are good looking?: Sure. I'm pleased with what I see, at the very least.

071) Have you ever been suspended from school?: No.

071) Do you want to get out of your hometown?: I like where I live, and I certainly appreciate that I've grown up here because it's pretty perfect, but it's pretty much time for me to venture out on my own.

072) Are you spoiled?: Nope.

073) Are you a brat?: Nope.

074) Have you ever been dumped?: I've not really had the chance to. >_>;

075) Have you ever gotten high?: I don't think so.

076) What's your favorite drink?: Vanilla Coke or ice coffee.

077) Do you like Snapple?: Uh, I guess it's all right. It's not really my fruit drink of choice.

078) Do you drink a lot of water?: Probably not as much as I should.

079) What toothpaste do you use?: Crest Whitening or Sensative Teeth.

080) Do you have a cell phone or pager?: My cell phone is the devil. I got it out of necessity for school, and I have a hard time remembering to take it with me places.

081) Do you have a curfew?: Not that I know of.

082) Who do you look up to?: Parents, awesome teachers I've had, people I've known.. generally, quite a lot of people, heh.

084) Have you ever been to Six Flags?: Universal so owns.

085) What name brand do you wear the most?: A number of different ones, I guess. Whatever fits.

086) What kind of jewelry do you wear?: I'm always wearing that one earring in my ear, sometimes regular earrings, very rarely do I wear necklaces, and I hate bracelets. I had one little, silver ring I wore a lot on my pinky, but then I lost it at the beach. I have a couple toe rings I like, though, one with waves on it and one with some kind of weird design. My fingers are small enough that I can wear them either way.

087) What do you have pierced?: My ears. One left, two right.

088) What do you want pierced?: Not much else.

089) Do you like taking pictures?: I love to. It's a hobby.

091) Do you have a tan?: Yes sir, and it's all natural. ^_~

093) Have you ever started a rumor?: Not that I know of.

094) Do you have your own phone/phone line?: My cell phone, and we used to have one in our room, but it got zapped by lightning. Not really a big loss.

095) Do you have your own pool?: Yeah.

096) Do you have any siblings?: Younger brother and sister.

097) Do you prefer boxers or briefs?: I wear boxers for pjs, does that count?

099) Have you ever played anyone?: I hope not.

100) Do you get along with your parents?: Yeah.

102) How do you vent your anger?: Turning the music up really loud, writing. Sometimes I just go for a walk (if it's nice out, at least).

103) Have you ever run away?: Yeah, a long time ago.

104) Have you ever been fired from a job?: Never really had a job.

105) Do you even have a job?: Not yet.

106) Do you daydream a lot?: All the time. I write. It's what I do.

107) Do you have a lot of exes?: No, not really.

108) Do you run your mouth?: With certain people and certain topics.

113) What does your most recent crush look like?: Do I even have a crush?

114) Have you ever been bitched out?: Probably once or twice.

115) When was the last time you bitched someone out?: I don’t believe I ever have.

116) Are you rude?: Only when I feel it's necessary (which is very rarely).

117) What was the last compliment you received?: Hmm. Probably on my writing, lol. That's all I ever get, it seems. ^_^;

118) Do you like getting dirty?: Doing what?

119) Is your bellybutton an innie or outie?: Innie.

120) Are you flexible?: Yeah. I used to be much more flexible than I am now, which sort of bothers me.

121) What is your heritage?: Irish, German, a little English, a little bit of everything else. I'm told that I'm some extremely small percentage of Native American, which is kind of cool. ^_^;

122) What is your lucky number?: Why are numbers lucky? I just want a rabbit's foot, or a four leaf clover.

123) What does your hair look like right now?: It looks brown, and it probably needs to be brushed. I've been wearing a hat all day.

124) Could you ever be a vegetarian?: Never, ever, ever.

125) When was your last real heartbreak?: Some time last year, concerning my grandmother.

126) Describe your looks?: Dark brown hair, kind of short, brown eyes, skinny, short, and deliciously tan.

127) If you had to completely dye your hair it'd be what color?: Purple, or a shocking red.

129) Would you ever date someone older than you?: Yes, same.

130) When was the last time you were drunk?: Never been drunk.

136) Do you have one now?: Nope.

137) How many rings until you answer the phone?: If I'm right next to it, at least once, probably twice. Otherwise, whenever I get to it. If it's my cell phone ringing, I like to wait as long as possible so I can dance to the ring tone.

138) Have you ever been skinnydipping?: When I was very small.

139) If yes, when was the last time?: I don’t know.

140) Do you look more like your mother or father?: Definitely my mom. I wonder, is that a first born thing?

141) Do you cry a lot?: No.

142) Do you ever cry to get your way?: That's awful. Why cry when you can be violent instead?

.... just kidding. >_>

143) If you had to amputate one limb, what would it be?: I guess I'd amputate whichever one had to be amputated.

144) What phrase do you use most when on the phone?: Probably, "Oh, cool."

145) Are you the romantic type?: Yeah. More subtle than cheesy.

146) Have you ever been chased by cops?: Well that would be an adventure.

147) What do you like most about your body?: That it's mine?

150) When was the last time you threw up?: I don't even remember.

151) In the opposite sex, do you prefer blondes or brunettes?: Brunettes. Mmm, dark hair.

152) What do the shoes you last wore look like?: Kind of a tannish-brown. They're not really tennis shoes, but ... they are. I haven't actually worn normal shoes like that for awhile, so it was pretty weird. Florida in the summer = flip flops.

153) Do you ever wear shirts to show your belly?: Not blatantly. I don't really like midrifts. A lot of tank tops for women end up slightly short, though.

154) What about cleavage?: I think the only way I could do that is with a corset. And if I'm wearing a corset, then chances are, the cleavage probably wouldn't last.

155) Is your best friend a virgin?: Well, I can only think of two that might not be, but I don't know for sure.

156) Have you ever fucked someone up?: Not intentionally.

157) Have you ever been fucked up?: I don't think so.

158) What color are your underwear right now?: White and blue with a little giraffe on them, I think. They're the boy-like undies for girls, so they almost always have cute little designs.

159) What theme does your room have?: Look At How Dorky These Girls Are.

160) What size shoe do you wear? Six and a half or seven.

161) What jewelry are you wearing now?: The one earring.

162) What is your screen name on AIM?: Arcadelicious.

163) Would you pick a wedgie in public?: Very stealthily.

164) How are you feeling right now?: Kind of tired. I've been staying up too late.

165) When was the last time you were at a party?: Does a club count?

166) Have you ever given a lapdance?: No, but let's not rule out the possibility. ^_~

167) What do you sleep in?: My poor, broken bed. We recently flipped the stand upside down because it works better than way. Yeah, I don't get it either.

170) What is one of your good qualities?: I think I'm pretty friendly.

171) Would you marry for money?: No.

172) What do you drive?: Whatever I can get my hands on. Eventually, when I get a job and save, I'll buy myself a car that I like. Right now I'm kind of fond of hatchbacks. Volkswagons are darling.

173) Have you ever given or received roadhead?: I can safely say no.

174) Are you more of a mama or daddy's child?: More of a daddy's girl, I think. We have a lot of the same interests, I guess.

175) What's does your lj username mean?: That kind of depends on the source. Synonyms:  afterworld, atmosphere, azure, beyond, bliss, Canaan, dreamland, ecstasy, Elysium, empyrean, enchantment, eternal home, eternal rest, eternity, fairyland, felicity, firmament, glory, great unknown, happiness, harmony, heights, hereafter, immortality, kingdom, kingdom come, life everlasting, next world, nirvana, paradise, pearly gates, promised land, rapture, Shangri-la, sky, the blue, transport, upstairs, utopia, wonderland, Zion

178) Do you wear Chucks?: What the hell are chucks?

179) For two million dollars, would you pose for Playboy?: Probably. If it was full nudity, though, probably not.

180) What time are you finishing this?: 12:58 AM. I kind of made a trip to the grocery store in between. My neighbor's cat came up to me while I was standing in the driveway, my arms full of bags, and meowed very loudly.

That ain't right.

So I had the weirdest freaking dream last night, and no, this one did not involve the dancing cactuar-broccoli. It was all about me and my alter ego, a sort of split personality thing, in this really dark, fantasy type land in the middle of the woods somewhere. While normal me was goofy and cute (as always ^_~), other me was like this scantily clad sex-demon with a penchant for knives.

Try not to read into it too much.

Part of this might be because lately I've been writing a lot, especially in some old fan-fiction type of stories that I literally hadn't touched for over a year. Writing in them again has given me some kind of hyper, fan-girl energy that I can't actually explain, but being able to return to them and hopefully finish them is really kind of satisfying. It's moments like these when I actually believe I might never grow up. ^_~

Oh, dearest Mike, I forgot to tell you that I got your letter on Tuesday. I don't know what it is about the university that seems to slow the mail down, but hey, whatever.

I'd also like to mention the cool new changes to the Arena. I'm really, really excited about this because I think it's going to be a great step for RPGs. Especially where communication is concerned, because a lot of times, that's where a lot of stories fail. I'm planning to put a thread about Laeth E'Thae up soon, and it'll probably be open to all members, but I can't promise anything yet. We'll just have to see how it goes.

I don't think there's a blockbuster anywhere in America that has The Bourne Identity in stock. I must have gone to check four times in the past week or so, and it's never in. I don't know anybody who owns it, either. It's getting to the point where I might just go and buy it at Circuit City (I hear it's like $10 there). It's not like I'm not going to like it - Matt Damon as a hitman? Come on. I'm so there.

You could die just the same on a sunny day.

I went to Borders last night around 9:30 with my brother and sister to buy a certain Incubus CD. We hung out for an hour or so, and I also bought myself a nifty little bookmark. Because I totally need more bookmarks.

I wanted to by myself a new book as well, but I didn't know what to buy. Lately, I think I want to read fantasy stuff until I die, but really, everything sounds good. I'd love to find a good book with vampires, though. I love me some bloodthirsty immortals, don't choo know.

My dad's been pestering me about it for a while, so I finally sat down this morning and read the first chapter of James Joyce's A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. Naturally, I feel ridiculously sheepish now for ever hesitating to do so. It's brilliant. I've still only read the first chapter, but that's enough. I'll have to read it a couple hundred times over in order to catch all the little details because there's so much going on under the surface.

God, I love to read.

I'd cut off both your wings on principle alone.

I woke up this morning and found out that we traded Gooden and Hunter (still talking Magic basketball, people). So that pretty much is the entire team gone, heh. But Gooden and Hunter gone equals a ticker tape parade in Orlando. At least, that's the way I see it. We're going to have a pretty cool team this season.

Wow. There's nothing like talking about sports to kill your mO.

Last night I was incredibly, disgustingly, off-the-wall bonkers. I don't know how it got so bad, though some of it might have been self-induced. I still blame the caffeine, though. Ice coffee at midnight probably isn't the best way to calm yourself down. Heed my words, people. Heed them.

I think I'm going to spend the next few hours of my life working in the Arena. Laeth is totally dying right now, so I need to fix the last post. As far as moderating goes, however, there doesn't seem to be much for me to do. It was pretty bad for awhile, and then it disappeared and so things have been quite peachy. Peachy's got it!

Mr. H. Cloud has this life soundtrack thing at his mO that I'll probably be "borrowing" later, as well. If I don't get distracted by something, that is.

Shiny. O_O;;

Everybody wang chung tonight!

I feel like talking about sports today. Feel free to join the conversation or something.

I watch ESPN on a pretty regular basis. Obviously, it's the place to go to get any sports information, and it's always on. Plus, it's funny as hell. Stuart Scott might be one of my favorite people of all time. Pardon The Interruption is by far one of the coolest programs on air. And I think it's pretty safe to say that anybody on Sportscenter knows a ton about what's happening in sports.

I've been told that me watching ESPN is slightly not normal. Which is really a shame because a lot of people could stand to watch some quality television, but hey. We can't help them all.

As far as games go, I'll watch just about anything because it's all fun. Obviously, all games are a thousand times better when you're actually there to watch, but even when you can't be, it's still great to have some friends over and yell at the screen periodically. Me and my family, we're all pros at this. Especially when it gets down to important games - it's damn crazy in my house on those days.

Teams I like:

First of all, I am an FSU student, so the team has grown on me. Rix may be a moron, but when he has those rare moments of talent it is a truly beautiful sight to behold. Besides, the games are a blast. Game weekends are one huge party, and on actual game days, it's like all the rules are out the window. People park all over and you can always count on someone to bring the grill.

However, it must be said that I am, before anything else, a major Buckeyes fan, and have been all my life. My parents were born in Ohio, went to school there, and obviously the love of the team has trickled down. Miami fans, sucks for you. ^_~

This means, however, that I am a part of all the best rivalries. How cool is that?

Speaking of Ohio. The Cleveland Indians. Although I was loathe to admit it for awhile, seeing as they sucked, but things look like they're starting to turn around. Going to see them during Spring Training was always a blast, though. There's nothing better than sitting out there with your glove on one hand and a hotdog in the other. Later, you'd buy the ice cream in the little baseball helmets, and much much later, some much needed aloe for the sunburn you so lovingly achieved. That's the American Past-time, right there.

And obviously, I am an Orlando Magic fan. We used to have season tickets (even though I didn't go to a lot of games because I wasn't even here for them), but this year we opted not to buy them. However, it'll be an interesting season - fresh blood. The starting line-up has been completely revamped, since we traded half our team with McGrady. But now we've got Steve Francis, Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Hidayet Turkoglu, along with our regulars DeClercq, Garrity, Gooden, Hunter, and Stevenson. It could definitely be the start of something good here. I just hope to god that Grant Hill plays. And hell, who knows how long Shaq stays with the Heat once he's a free agent. I guess we'll just have to see.

Yep.

For you I'd bleed myself dry.

Listening To: Coldplay's "Yellow"

I have done so much in the last couple days it's not even funny. Like I mentioned before, we went to the beach for my sister's birthday. It was awesome. We thought that we'd get rained out, since some clouds were rolling in south of us. It did rain some, and all the wimpy people left, so for a while we had the beach to ourselves. We never got kicked out of the water, which is something that the life guards on duty definitely hated - they just wanted to leave. Poor bastards.

I had expected to get on later that night and finish up my post, but my brother got on before I got the chance, and then my sister and her friend got on, and that was the end of that. Can't argue with the birthday girl, damn it.

Yesterday and today my mother has been on nonstop, working on her resume. I'm hoping that she's finished so that I can get the time I need in to finish my effing post. I've got it all planned out and everything, but it seems like every time I try and get on, something happens. If it's not up some time today I'll just kill myself, I guess.

Last night I went out with some friends to this club called Pounders. It's really just an awful name for a club and honestly, I wasn't all that impressed by the place. But I did have a lot of fun dancing. I think I might be a bit of a tease when I dance, actually. I'm not really sure. I did have a lot of fun shooing various drunk guys away, though. Can't go wrong there.

What also makes nights like this fun is that I have a friend that gets hit on wherever she goes. Her name also happens to be Meg (only it's spelled Meaghan). She's like 6'2" and is just plain gorgeous. It's been this huge running joke between us all - tonight we lost count of guys, but I last remember counting about five or six of them coming up. Fun times, I tell ye.

28 Days Later was unbelievably awesome. And so was I, Robot, despite what some people may say. I saw the latter one tonight and it was pretty cool. Definitely a little on the creepy side. What can I say, geeky movies call to me. That, and Will Smith is just hot. Shia LaBeouf isn't too shabby either.

I need to break free of these cradle-robbing habits.

I've got the power!

The 18th is my sister's birthday, so I'm going to the beach tomorrow. Originally the plan was to drive down to Cocoa today and rent a hotel room and stay the night, but apparently we're not old enough to do that. So I can die in the army serving my country but I can't spend the night at the beach. Okay, that's cool. Whatever.

I'm hoping that I'll finish Issue #1 tonight. I've been working on it the last couple days, perfecting ideas, throwing out others, saving some for later... yeah, I'm being obscenely anal about this post, but it's so worth it. I just want it to be good, heh.

Universal is less than three weeks away! Hoohah!

Which also brings into sharp persepective the quickly approaching fall semester. Hm. I'm ready to go back, and yet I'm not ready. It's all very complicated and boring.

Which reminds me of something slightly less boring. My sister woke me up three times this morning. I wanted to kill her. But then she pointed out to me that for one reason or another, there were mini dog bones all over the edge of my bed. Cue my dog trying to eat my bed.

I'm pretty sure my dad is the culprit here. Our family has a really warped sense of humor.

WTF, mates?

The other night I had the weirdest dream. Weird probably doesn't even begin to describe it. I was out in the middle of the desert (or a desert-like place) and there was a whole bunch of dancing broccoli. It's like they were trying to be cactuars, but only they were failing miserably at it. I don't know.

Oh. Thanks to everybody who left a common last time. Things have been up and down on that front, so the support means a lot. You guys are so much cooler than dancing broccoli.

I watched Secret Window last night. Apparently it was based off of Stephen King's "Secret Window, Secret Garden." I wasn't aware of that until after I started it. It was all right, although I sort of figured out what was going on. I'm not sure if I was supposed to or not, but eh. Johnny Depp is always enjoyable.

I've also rented 28 Days Later, which I'll probably end up watching alone because everybody else here is a pansy.

I wanted to rent The Bourne Identity because I like Matt Damon and I want to see Supremacy, but it was out. Stupid Blockbuster.

So, about the Arena. Has anybody been in there lately? I've been sort of busy the last few days. Some of the new fish don't seem to be catching on very well. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, however I might come across. But yes, even I only have so much patience.

Congrats to Panda, by the way. ^_~

Hokay. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

You're tacky and I hate you.

Actually, I'm tired and my head hurts and my ear feels funky because I went swimming and now I can't hear. It happened when I went to the beach Tuesday, and eventually went away. I put SwimEar in it, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything. It feels like I've just gotten off a plane and it needs to pop really, really badly. It's not very cool.

It's also been a rough day for me personally. More family stuff. I don't know. Nothing is what I want it to be right now and I'm just scared, frustrated, and completely worn out from trying to please everybody.

At least I've got some writing to do. That'll be a good way to keep myself occupied. Should be fun, too. ^_~

Hopefully all of you are having a better start to the week than I am.
