I am going to die.

Current Mood: Disgruntled
Current Music: "Fashion Fatale" - Read Yellow

As I said to Natalie: "My parents are going to disown me, my brother and sister are going to throw rocks at me, my dog will bite me, my friends won't talk to me... I'm going to die."

In other words, I just got back from taking that Anthro final, and it was hard. I hope by some stroke of luck that I did okay on it. But right now, I want gnaw on the book. Perhaps later Natalie and I will go shopping and eat a nice dinner or something, just to make ourselves feel better. I'd love to blow a lot of money, cause I know that would make me feel great, but I kind of need to save all of it for next semester. So, yeah. Damn.

Adding to the fun, I think my cold has gotten worse. I had one of those uneasy, tossing/turning sleeps last night. Which isn't a good sign. And then during the day, the cold seemed worse than it usually is. Now, my right ear feels like I've been on a plane for ten hours, and it's really starting to drive me nuts. The problem is, I don't want to go to the doctor. They make me uneasy. But if my medicine isn't working the way I want it to... arrrgghh!

I could definitely use some pick-me-ups right about now. At least my next exam isn't until Wednesday - so tonight, I will be doing NOTHING. Absolutely NOTHING about class. It's going to be heaven. Amen.

Change is on the wind.

Current Mood: Feeling sick and slightly aggravated
Current Music: "The Small Print" - Muse

I always think it's funny how somebody like me, who for the most part abhors change and anything having to do with it, must constantly change the way this silly mO is. I like colors, and I like different layouts and all that. Even though I can't actually do much with it.. to follow in the holiday trend, though, I'd like to put up some pretty christmas pictures, and find some good midis to go with it. I'll do all this in the time that I don't have. ¬.¬

I think Laeth E'Thae is dying. Nobody is posting anymore... it's so sad. If it hasn't picked back up by Friday, I'm going to resort to badgering people with PMs. Which really stinks, cause I don't want to turn into this nagging, psycho girl who people only listen to because it says "mod" above my avatar, and even then sometimes still don't. Oh well. I just hope everybody comes back from wherever they are and then we can get the gears cranking again.

Hey Asuka, I feel your pain - though it's not quite as cold here, it's been wet and miserable all day. And combined with this stupid cold and my ugly finals to study for.. well, today is going to suck. Tomorrow.. is going to suck even more, because that's when my Anthropology final actually is. So far, things aren't looking good. Where's my damn sunshine, anyway?

Some good things about today, though:

One. I got an 85 on my math final. Out of 20 questions, I only missed three, so that's pretty good. Especially considering my lack of mathematical skills. So I'm happy with that.

Two. Last time in Theatre, we wrote our opinions on Angels in America and whether or not we'd like to see the show put on in our own communities. The TA's read a few today, and one of the ones read was mine. ^_^ So basically, every time we've done something like this, whatever I write gets read. Which is kind of weird, but flattering, in the least.

It's also nice because I get to hear what I write - what it actually sounds like from another person's perspective (sort of thing). Usually I whenever we have to write something up really quick like that, I'm always afraid that it's not going to flow, that it's not going to make sense, that it's just going to suck horribly. But when the guy read it, it sounded good. Very, very liberal, but good nonetheless. ^_^

Three. I got Popeyes for lunch cause I was feeling mighty fine, and there were new people in there. Better people. The service is so much better, and it's such a relief. It's amazing what a smile can do, huh?

All this abortion talk has got me and my roommate discussing it now. ^_^ Such fun. My only wish is that there were more cool people like her - even though we're pretty much on opposite ends of the spectrum, we can both have a civilized conversation about it. If more people would just chill out and at least try to tolerate and understand these differences, things would be so much better. Heh, or so my ideology tells me, anyway.

Twiddle twiddle

It's going to be a busy week. Busy two weeks, actually. I think I've already mentioned this.. finals... yeah, I don't remember anything right now. I'm about to go study for Anthropology, but I thought it would be good to get some nice, deep thoughts in here first.

I like cheese.

Okay okay, seriously now. The recent threads in the Otaku Lounge have been quite fun to read. Granted, a few tempers are probably being riled up, and I know I've read a couple posts here and there that I just don't agree with at all, but I'm really glad that they're being discussed. I don't know about you guys, but I'm always interested to hear some different points of view, even if I don't necessarily agree with them. *cheesy voice* It's all about growing, finding that special happy place.

I'm.. feeling a little delirious. Happy delirious. It's crazy stuff. I tried to stay serious but it didn't work. I did paint my nails though - a crazy color called Tequila Sunrise. That's basically the whole reason I bought it. Just call me spontaneous.

Word.

Check, check, 1, 2..

Quiz time. Some of this is true.. just not in the way you would normally think. I guess. Maybe there was a wrong turn somewhere? Hehe.

Good sleep.

I feel so much better after a good night's sleep. I got in about 5:30 yesterday, managed to unpack everything, and then fell on my bed, exhausted. So I took a nap (accidently) and woke up around 9pm. Didn't do much, but decided I should at least change into my pjs and take some medicine before I went to bed. Natalie came in around 10, and by then I had the lights off already. >.>

I took medicine again today, and I'm hoping that I stop this cold thing early. I don't need to be sick for finals. That would suck.

Thanksgiving break was wonderful, though. I got to play football as I said, and I got in some much needed videogame time. Oh, how I miss those days. There was a whole lot of Dynasty Warriors this weekend. ^_^ I'm still dying to try out the new Double Dash, but alas, I don't know anybody (in the immediate region) that has it. So sad.

And of course, FSU beat the crap out of UF. Actually, we only won by four points, but yeah, what a game!! During the first half I was coming in and out, so I wasn't paying too much attention to it. Last half though... holy jesus, there were so many moments in which I wanted to strangle Rix, and then hug him. But that throw. Oh, that last throw, that won the game for us. How beautiful was that?!

I also caught the tail end of the Miami/... some other team game. Pitsburg? St. Petersburg? Something with a P, I thought. And in case you aren't aware, I hate Miami. I deteste them with all of my being. One of those reasons is of course because I am, above all, an Ohio State fan. Go Buckeyes! But that's another story..

In other news, I like stealing Queen Asuka's quizzes and that. ^_^ Here's some of the contraband:

Barnes and Noble = Good fun

Today was a lot of fun, and not because of school or anything. I woke up in a good mood this morning, just because the night before my roomie and I spent about a half an hour laughing hysterically at some silly noise I made. We were trying to go to sleep, and being the goofy child that I am, pretended to snore, and Natalie just cracked up. Which made me laugh, and then it just kept going!

Either way, it was a funny morning. Math sucks, I hate probability - I don't care how many times the stupid die lands on 6. In fact, I hope you choke on the die, Mr. Man who thought up math in the first place.

Anthropology was.. uneventful, as always, though we were discussing religion, since that's the chapter we're on. Specifically, Rastafarian - Raegae. I love them peoples. So that was pretty fun.

There's some strange fair thing on campus today, so me and Natalie went to the mall. Heh, looked around, got some Cinnabons for later, and then headed over to Barnes and Noble. We were in there for at least two hours, just chilling and reading. I found this one great book about Sir Galahad from the old Arthurian legends, and I started reading it and just couldn't stop. So I bought it. I'm really excited, because I love Arthur and all the myths about the great Britain King. I love historical fiction, for that matter, as many do consider the legends to be true. Either way, it's a freaking great story and I'm always excited to hear about it. ^__^ So this book is going to be a blast to read.

So now I'm on here, the roomie is watching my Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring DVD and I'm having a lot of fun quoting everything. We're in the mines right now, about to fight off the cave troll. Damn the drums in the deep, damn them.

Not quite dead yet!

*fake english accent* I'm getting better!

Those who do not like Monty Python... well... I just don't know what to say. I'll shake my head instead. Actions speak louder than words, right?

Though I am getting better, which is a nice change. The last few times I've been sick it's been horrible. So I either got lucky and this was nothing, or I caught it very early and kicked it's royal ass. Take that, evil germs! Either way, I'm feeling mighty fine, and I don't have any more class today, so it's all good!

I am really, really looking forward to going home next Tuesday for Thanksgiving break. It's going to be so much fun. At first, I was going to be going home Wednesday afternoon, since I had class. But since everything but Anthropology has been cancelled, I'm just going to skip it and leave Tuesday. That way I've got a whole extra day to chill at home and play football. Sounds good to me. ^_^ It'll be so nice, too, because usually I only get one full day during the weekends. Now I get four! Yes!! Megan scores!! And best of all, I'll get to see a friend of mine that I haven't seen since before I left for FSU. It's been so lonely without my dearest friends with me, so I'm really, really looking forward to jumping on her the first chance I get. And then the insanity will begin anew!

I think I might motivate myself to get some work done today.

....stop laughing, at least I'm going to try. Nyeh.

I'm upset about a math quiz I had today, however. I got a 70 on it. And I knew the stuff, too.. But I just don't do well on these quizzes, I guess. I do not have a mathematical mind at all. I want a B in this class but it looks like I'm not going to pull it off. Total damnation. At least after this year I'm done with it for good.

I've been getting a few compliments as of late, too, and I keep catching people.. staring or something, and instead of being flattered (well, sometimes I am), I'm starting to get suspicious. Because people at FSU would actually form a conspiracy like that, right Meg?

Yeah. I should stop before this whole talking to myself thing gets really out of hand.

I registered for classes this morning, too. And I'm quite happy to say that it worked out very nicely. I said earlier that I was having trouble with it - I was in a bit of a spot because of one of my classes because I couldn't find it on the course list. I talked to my advisor though and as it turns out, she was holding a seat in it for me, so it's all good. I feel all special and stuff, too, so good times for all! But let's see the line-up for the spring semester, shall we?

Mondays:
8:00AM - 8:50AM = Liberal Arts Math. Heh, it always makes me laugh. But damnit, it's so early!
10:10AM - 11:00AM = Intro to Shakespeare. I'm really, really looking forward to this class. I love Shakespeare, and it's been a dream of mine since middle school to take a class devoted to him. ^_^ Check that one off the list.

Tuesday
12:30PM - 1:45PM = History of US since 1865. This was the class that my advisor told me to take, and the one she reserved a seat in for me. I love history, it's my freaking major, so it should be great.
2:00PM - 3:15PM = Planets, Stars, and Galaxies. I really like Astronomy; it was always my favorite part of science, so I'm hoping the trend continues.

Wednesday
8AM - 8:50AM = Math again. How will I wake up in time for this class?
10:10 - 11AM = Shakespeare, baby!
12:20 PM - 1:10PM = Recitation.. bum bum BUM! Dis be da class where I take all my math quizzes and tests and whatnot. Yuck.

Thursday
12:30 - 1:45PM = The past does repeat itself, after all.
2-3:15PM = Planets, stars, blah blah. One science down, once more to go.
8PM - 10PM = Astronomy Lab. The one lab I'm required to take. I figure looking at stars would suit me best.

Friday
8AM - 8:50AM = Math is a four letter word. So is... tree.
10:10 - 11AM = Bill Shakespeare.

Yes, so that's my exciting schedule for next year. ....exciting... isn't it? Anyway, I woke up at 7:40 to be ready for when 8 AM rolled around, and I don't even have class until 11 on Tuesdays. It took me 15 minutes to get to the website, with all the mad rushing for registration and all that. But I got lucky and got through, and got all my classes. The one Shakespeare one, specifically, only had 6 seats left, so I was pretty nervous. ^_^ My poor roomie was trying for 45 minutes, and ending up not getting the one English class she wanted. But hey, you win some, you lose some. I'm just glad I won.

So, despite being sick, it's been a pretty good day. ^____^
