Fish sticks!
You know, I should really, really be studying right now for that exam I have tomorrow... the one that scares me to no end.. yeah. It's times like these that make me wonder how I ever graduated from high school. With honors, no less. There must have been some higher powers seriously at work, man.
But yeah, this whole "procrastination" thing has to stop, or I'm going to make myself sick. Must.. use... will power! Perhaps it's because I haven't been meditating like I used to. In fact, I believe that would have a lot to do with it. I should go to the gym a few times a week, and do that, and do some excersizes to release all that stress and ugly pent up emotions, but I don't. Suddenly I feel incredibly weak and very ashamed. Something must be done about this.
I think maybe tonight, after dinner, and after a good bit of studying, I'll head on over to the Leach and swim, or give myself a good work out. If I'm going to kill time, I might as well do it in a positive, healthy manner. What the hell, it can't hurt me, right?
Will power, you are mine!! Y'arrr!! |

Fun stuff
I got a little bored again, so I took more quizzes.
What Finding Nemo Character are You? brought to you by Quizilla
You represent... naivete.
So innocent and trusting... you can be very shy at times, but it's only because you're not sure how to act. You give off that "I need to be protected vibe." Remember that not all people are good. Being too trusting will get you easily hurt.
What feeling do you represent? brought to you by Quizilla
You are a true nature girl!
Which Ultimate Beautiful Woman are You? brought to you by Quizilla
STAND UP: You are a natural stand-up comedian. You watch the news with people, and when you give your opinions, people start laughing. All you do is repeat various humorous things that you notice from everyday life. Your unique perspective on the world is what makes you so funny. How funny are you? brought to you by Quizilla
Hello, (insert name here)! The whole world would know you by your birth name. You would not have a special name, or you would not be unknown. Everything you do would be recognized. You would leave things in the open. You hate getting caught in things you do, since it may tend to happen a lot. That is why, I must say, that you would probably get caught faster and easier than usual. You may just be famous for your slaughters, and then forgotten after you're off the streets.

Hmph.
myOtaku is not letting me modify any of my posts. It's a very sad thing, since I constantly find things wrong with what I write and I want to change it and it drives me crazy that I can't. Grr.
Mmm, Spicier Nacho Doritoes are delicious!
For my graduation present, I got a laptop. A PowerBook G4, to be precise, and I absolutely adore my Chucky Wills (I name everything, by the way). And since then, I've been dying to write a story on it. But nothing comes to mind. Well, granted, I've had a lot of ideas, usually when I'm not AT my computer (and what's up with that, anyway? I ASK you!), but I just can't get them out into words. It's a great bother, I assure you.
I'm going home this weekend, and I'm greatly looking forward to it. Back to Orlando. It's really weird to live in the south, and not actually live in the south. Florida is full of hicks, I assure you, but Orlando, as well as Miami, is so completely different from the rest of the state. It's like another world. I love it, too, and it'll be nice to go back. I'm also looking forward to Halloween Horror Nights (it's that movie theme.. spooky!) and seeing my dog. Booyah. |

When I'm asleep all alone..
We ordered pizza tonight (again), and watched The Ideal Husband. I enjoyed three slices of pepporoni and ranch dip, as well as some cheese sticks, and a vanilla coke.
Then afterwards, I was bouncing of the walls (almost literally), and so I announced that I was going to take a walk and take some pictures. Granted, it was 7:30 and it was dark out, but I've wanted to use my camera for awhile and it seemed like a good time to do it. Natalie wouldn't let me walk around campus alone, so she came with. So we wandered around the campus and enjoyed the light rain while I took some fun pictures. For the most part, it only sprinkled, and sometimes not even that, so my wittle camera was fine. But on the way back it started to rain a tad harder and I put old faithful away.
But I took a lot of pictures. I didn't think I would, since it was night, but I underestimated the campus, and my own need to take pictures. It felt good. Like I was getting a little part of me back. I really enjoyed that tonight, and I'm excited to turn in my film and see how they all turn out. Whether or not this light worked, or if it created the effect that I wanted, or if I caught the water in movement, or or or or or... you get the picture.
Heh, good pun. |

It's GOOOOOD.
Heh.
I went and saw Bruce Almight, as I said I would (I didn't lie about that part), and I enjoyed it. Of course, that was my second time seeing it, but I stand by my earlier claim of "very enjoyable."
I went with my roomie Natalie and her friend (I suppose she's sort of my friend now, as well) Brittany. Let me tell you a little about my roomie. She's from Pensacola. (Florida... northern florida, different time zone=different world) And she's religious. And if you know anything about the movie... well, it was interesting.
Now before I get started, I must tell you that Natalie is fantastic. She's a real sweet heart, and we have a freakish amount in common - we both got real lucky with the roommate thing (she did get me, after all). Where we differ, however, is sometimes a problem because when we do differ, we're complete opposites. She's a conservative Republican and I'm a liberal would-be Democrat, if I hadn't registered as unaffiliated. She's religious and goes to church twice a week. I haven't gone to church since I was four. And as far as praying goes, if I do it all, my prayers go to "Whom it may concern."
So for a person like me, Bruce Almighty is a great movie, incredibly funny, and something to think about. For a person like Natalie, it was blasphemous. Entertaining in some parts, yes, and it was comical in some parts, but it was also very blasphemous and "didn't follow her beliefs."
It sucks to get out of a movie theatre and not be able to talk about the movie you just saw because God keeps getting in the way. Granted, if she were more of a friend and we were going home to different places, I would have put in my two cents anyway. But because I have to live with her, and we became friends more out of necessity at first (granted we're more like actual friends now), it wouldn't exactly be wise to piss her off and then have to be stuck in the same room with her all night. That wouldn't work very well at all.
Either way though, I still like the movie, and I still like what it says. Even if I don't necessarily believe it, 100%. If you don't like it, you can smite me, oh mighty smiter.

Oh, good times.
Which Cowboy Bebop character are you?
There's nothing funnier than that. My day is now complete.
Well, actually I'm going to see Bruce Almighty later, so yeah, I lied. >.>;;
So in case you couldn't tell, I was rather agitated yesterday... or the other day... or whenever that was. Sometimes you just gotta walk away. Especially me, since I'm not one for conflicts. I don't care for fights, and I don't find them all that exciting. Usually. Granted, there will always be those times when you suddenly get the urge to beat somebody senseless because you feel they absolutely deserve it, but it's not really called for.
I believe that you've got to fight for what you believe in, but fighting doesn't necessarily mean you have to use violence. Remember that, folks.
In other news, ....I miss my dog. I can't wait to see her again. Stupid dorms. |

stop fooling yourself
Sometimes you meet people who just rub you the wrong way; but which way is it?
Do you scorn them because they crawl at your feet, or because they don't seem to care about what you think?
And who are you to scorn them in the first place? What have you ever done that puts you in such a position? A second coming you definitely aren't, my friend, so unplug that halo.
What sort of people belittle others? Does it make them feel better? Do you feel more important, now that you've trod all over their dreams? What on earth makes you think that when they remember you, they'll be impressed?
That is, if they remember you at all.
I almost pity you. |
