   Laundry

Have you ever done laundry on a college campus? Cause it's crazy, I tell you. CRAZY. I did some towels this morning (..well, it was actually like 1:00), and it took me 2 and a half hours! What the hell is that?!

Thus, my point: Don't do laundry on the weekends.

I have a list of things to do today that I must get done quickly. Some of that is homework. And maybe some more laundry. We'll see how crazy I'm feeling later. But yes, things to do before I can play tonight. I'd also like to watch a movie.. but let's not get ahead of ourselves, hm?

On a side note, I saw a pidgeon today that was limping. Well, he was actually jumping on one foot, and I think his wing was broken, cause it was all hanging to the side, and I felt so bad for him. I wanted to pick him up and kiss his little head and somehow fix his little busted body. But alas, though I might play a healer on these boards, the only healing I can do is hugging, and I think the little bird would have hopped away in fear if I would have tried.

If only, though. If only.

   ...right.

My inner child is ten years old today

My inner child is ten years old!

The adult world is pretty irrelevant to me. Whether
I'm off on my bicycle (or pony) exploring, lost
in a good book, or giggling with my best
friend, I live in a world apart, one full of
adventure and wonder and other stuff adults
don't understand.

Okay, this one is so twisted, but it makes me laugh:
Exotic Dancer
You're Exotic Dancer Barbie. You have some moves,
and will do anything for a few bucks. Take it
off girl, but keep it PG-13 please.

UPDATE

The Test wasn't that bad. I mean, for my first college exam and all, I think I did pretty good. I doubt I got a 100, and an A would be pushing it, but I most definitely passed it. So wahoo for me! Now I have more homework to do. T.T Ah, the trials and tribulations of my poor, pathetic life.

I wish I had more to say, and more time to say it in, but I'm going grocery shopping. Cherry Coke, here I come!

*insert dramatic music here*

I have an exam in roughly two hours and I'm scared. Must remember notes. Must... remember.. notes... Must... remember....... remember........ oh damn it, I forgot.

When I get my life back, I'll write something incredibly stimulating and deeply thought-provoking. But this will have to do in the meantime.

   So.

Do you guys have any idea how annoying it is to have to run down the hall every time you have to pee?

Oh, community bathrooms. What a trip.

I just finished reading for my Myth class, which is good (power to me!), but considering that I had planned on studying all day yesterday and didn't actually do anything of the sort... it's more like a tiny, pathetic sacrifice in hopes that I can somehow attone for being a lazy slug. Oh ye of little faith!

But speaking of my mythology class, I must tell you guys that I am having lots of fun with it. If you ever have the chance to take such a course, I highly recommend that you do. It's fascinating to learn about all these different cultures and the things they thought up to explain the universe and everything in it. Some of them are happy, life-celebrating people, some of them are god-fearing; it's just amazing to me that they can be so different, and yet still be very similiar to each other. That's the crazy thing about people. But I love it. I definitely want to learn more, go deeper into these different ideas and study what they all mean. I should be a philosopher or something. Yeah, that would get me a job.

I love learning. ^.^

Le sigh.

I don't wanna go to bed!!

If there's one thing I like better than free food, than it's free movies. And here at FSU, that's just what I get! Yeah! Life is good!

Okay, seriously, the other night some girls from my floor and I all went over to the student life building (where they hold the free movies) to see Chicago (for free). I love the movie; it's so very well made and the actors did a fabulous job (and it was free). And the music, don't even get me started - I have this thing for soundtracks, so you can guess who already knew all the words to the songs and kept muttering them under her breath during the (free) show.. Yeah, that was me. Then walking back to the dorm, we all sang the songs (it was midnight by then, keep in mind), and I went straight to my stereo and turned the cd on (which wasn't free). Brilliant.

But today my roomie and I were discussing the reality of Chicago in that, all the 'bad guys' win. You end up rooting for the bad guys, so to speak, when that poor russian girl (or is she swedish?) gets hanged. The one woman in the whole prison who was actually innocent is the one who ends up getting executed. It's sad to think about, and even a little disgusting. But it still makes for a darn good movie. ^.^

Anyway, that's my last two cents for the night. I think.

   Well well well.

So far I've just used this thing for meaningless frivalties, such as my own personal layer of hell and all that good stuff, but I'd like to speak to you ladies and gentlemen about the member rating system at the Otaku boards.

As some of you may know, I'm a newbie. I've been here for about a week, and although I knew I was rated as a newbie, I had no idea how that changed, when it would, how long it would take me to get there, etc. I understand it a little better now, but the part that really gets me is where I get looked down on because of one little word on my profile. Especially considering the quality of what I post compared to others who are "Otakus." In one of the threads I was looking at, somebody mentioned something like, "Besides Guy, Girl, and Guy, the rest of the people here are newbies. Just thought you should know." Okay, the punctuation has been fixed so you can actually read it now. But jesus, I looked at some of the stuff this person has written and I was shocked that she had the nerve to say that, as if people like me are inferior to her mad rp skillz.

Quality is better than quantity, people. I guess that's my point.

I hope I didn't come of as condescending here, but I need to complain. I might be doing that often if this keeps up. Hopefully... I won't have to.

   Fish Sticks!

I've created a whole new world! It's beeeautiful! And it's been so much fun to make a map for it.. even though it doesn't seem to want to upload itself on the boards. But that's cool.. I'll be victorious yet, I tell you. Just wait.

   ...okay

I'm a little confused as to why that thing got posted twice, but you know.. whatever. Computers are crazy. Not much you can do about it.

I ate half a pizza tonight. It's nice to have the dorm room to myself. I'm having fun, listening to my itunes, scarfing down, getting stupidly hyper, doing the rpg thing.. I'm trying to come up with my own. I'd like to have it done by tonight. We'll see how that flies.

Escaflowne has the most beautiful music in the world. I love that anime. It's the BEST.
