I have a confession to make..

You know how my background has recently gone from boring old white to a rather chipper orangish-yellow? Well... I have no idea how that happened. True story.

I think I've just about caught myself up again on the boards. Of course, I say that, and then by tonight everyone will have posted something new and I'll have to start all over again. But honestly, I don't mind. Story telling is fun!

I'm trying really hard to persuade myself to leave the dorm room and go do some homework in the library. Some mythology questions, at least. And I have an essay in that class that is really coming up fast that I have yet to do any work on. That, combined with the rest of the homework I have this weekend, means I should really try and get some done today so I don't kill myself tomorrow.

I am so lazy.

Here's something exciting, though - I have officially finished my first college course! Wheee! It was actually one of those crappy pass/fail things, and it ended early. But it's done! Over with, finished, Kaput! I am exceedingly happy because of it.

Meanwhile, my dearest friend up in NY was telling me about the first dance at Sarah Lawrence - the "coming out" dance, themed Pirates of the Queeribean. How cool is that? I think I went to the wrong damn school.

Either way, today is game day and I'm not at the game.. which is sad, yes, but I also haven't been feeling the greatest, and being surrounded by loud, noisy, drunk fans in the heat didn't sound like the best cure. Hopefully some good R&R will help this little lady out.

Meanwhile... I had an interesting idea for a story the other day (actually... last night, or maybe very, very early this morning...), and though it's actually only more of a prologue sort of thing, I'm very curious about seeing where this thing could go. So I started writing a little bit, and lemme just say that it feels good to have story ideas again. Writers' block can just kiss my white ass. So there.
