She turned me into a newt!
On iTunes: "Something Is Wrong" Phantom Planet

I've been trying to think about what I want to do with my layout here. I really do like the simplicity and the warmth of this one, but I need something a little more funky now. I absolutely adore the yellow and neon-ish pink that James has on his mO right now. I'd like to try out some interesting backgrounds for my posts, but I don't really know what I want and that makes creating them kind of hard, heh. And as much as I'd like to do all of this myself, I seriously doubt my ability to do so, so I'll probably end up bothering Tony soon.

So it's Tuesday, and I had an Italian presentation this morning. It went okay, I think. Nothing fabulous, especially considering that Angel, the guy who went before us, pretty much winged his and it was good. I just can't pull the language out of my head that fast, lol. I sit there and think about the words in my head, and then I start doubting whether or not they're the right words, if I can pronounce them correctly, and all that stupid crap. I'm really just so much better at writing and reading than hearing and speaking languages. Heh, go figure.

[/end off-topic diatribe]

Anyway. Angel's was good, then ours was ... blah, and then this kid Charlie (who sits behind me) goes up and freaking sings in Italian. The man has some pipes, kids. It was awesome. I was all, "O_O" .... yeah. Oh well.

I've got an art project due tomorrow that I haven't started yet. I don't think it's going to be all that hard - it's just a matter of getting my resources together, choosing some pictures for my exhibition's theme, and then writing an essay to accompany them. I always roll out the art essays pretty easily, so it shouldn't be a problem. The real effort will be choosing the paintings/prints I want to use. The theme I'm leaning towards is the social commentary in pop art and more or less how it really defines the generation in which it emerged. It should be ... interesting.

In other news, I've finally seen Reservoir Dogs and American History X and they are both fabulous films. However, both films (and the darling friends I saw them with) kept me up till 3 in the morning two nights in a row, so I think we're gonna have to take a little break with that, heh.

So how many people are interested in astrology, runes, tarot cards, i-ching, and all that stuff? Do you actually believe it and follow it faithfully or is more of a hobby, just something fun to do? I readily admit that I enjoy all of the above, even if I don't understand all the aspects of them. I even have tarot cards. It's interesting to see what kind of "readings" you get, I guess. It's also kind of funny to watch people's reactions when I tell them various things. lol

All right. Now that you all think I'm a crazy, wannabe, devil-worshipping witch, I'm gonna get started on some of that homework. Maybe. >_>;
