Listening To: Matchbox Twenty - "Disease"

a requiem for your regrets? (That has no purpose.. I just thought it was pretty.)
This weekend has been very lazy. Well, Friday wasn't lazy (went dancing at Stetsons, which is a half line-dancing and half booty dancing club - go figure), but Saturday and Sunday definitely were. It took me a moment to remember if I had done anything at all. Which I suppose can be a good thing, considering that the next couple weeks are going to be anything but lazy. Especially since I have a habit of procrastinating. Not cool, man.
What I do remember, though, was a bridal shower on Saturday. It was a lot of fun, and quite funny. Especially considering it was a lingerie shower, and there was quite a lot of sheer, lacy stuff being uncovered. Heh, that, and chocolate massage lotion. Yum. The only downside to that, however, was that afterwards I was like, "Aww. I wanna get married, too!"
I definitely stayed up way too late watching Alias last night. I just couldn't help myself. Mr. Sark is all too powerful. That, and once you get into the show, into the whole mood of it, then it's really hard to stop. Because even after you do stop, you still wander around in that frame of mind. It's the same with books, too. And movies. And sometimes Hallmark cards. *sniff* Those always get me.
Can't wait for this semester to be over. I miss my dog. And my family too, but mostly my dog. Can't really talk to my dog on the phone, you know? ...Even though I do. What's interesting, though, is that while I do miss my friends back home.. and I am looking forward to seeing them.. I not, really. I don't know if that makes sense to anybody but me. It's just that so much as happened over the past year and they haven't been here with me to see it and understand it. Just like I haven't been there. Which makes it sort of weird. I have a feeling, though, that things will just pick up where they left off. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.
I've really got to study for my finals, which are.. uh.. in about a week. Yeah. That sucks. But at least the semester is almost over. So close, and yet so far away. (Stupid, stupid finals.)
In other news, I think all my RPGs finally died. Eh. A lot of stuff seems to be dying. We're all just a busy bunch, I guess. Summer will probably get the ball rolling again.. but we'll see.
Man, I can't wait to get back to my PS2. I played Halo the other night with some guys and they kept killing me. Which wasn't at all unexpected, but it just made me realize how much I miss playing. Heh. Summer is the best. |
