Scary Movies.
Listening To: "Mr. Cellophane" - Chicago Soundtrack, broadway version
Time: 2:14
So that short little entry got more of a response than I thought it would. You guys are weird. o_O;;
Actually, let's talk more about scary movies. Because I love them, even though they scare me very, very easily. What are your favorites? Do you prefer slashers or the more psychological ones?
I've always loved The Shining. (Yay Mitch!) Jack Nickleson is probably one of the creepiest men alive, but he's absolutely fantastic in everything he does. That movie definitely gave me nightmares. Remember the twins in the hall? Yeah, no way in hell do you trust them. Just run the other way. Quickly.
As far as the second question, I like psychological ones more cause they mess with your mind. That's really a lot scarier than somebody gutting you. Silence Of The Lambs immediately comes to mind.
I've actually not seen a lot of horror movies. Eventually I'd like to see them all, but it's going to have to be slowly or else it'll get to the point where I'll go insane and start rocking myself in a corner. I'm open to suggestions, though - make me a list of stuff to watch! It'll be great!
It's funny that you mentioned doing the Samara impression, Dagger. My friends love to do that to me because they know it freaks me out. Back up at FSU one of my guy friends told us about this one time they completely scared the crap out of this girl Marianne by staging the Ring as she got home from work or something. They got her roomie Sarah to pose in a white nightgown on her knees and then fixed her hair so it was all stringy and gross. They turned off all the lights but one so Sarah could be seen but was shadowed, and turned the TV on so that it was static, like in the movie. So poor Marianne walks in the door and sees this, and then the Samara look alike Sarah points at her, her face completely straight the entire time. Marianne ran out screaming - they had to drag her back in. I imagine I would do the exact same thing. >_>;;
So yeah, that's my story for tonight. I think I'll finish my cookies and then go to bed. |
