It's GOOOOOD.
Heh.

I went and saw Bruce Almight, as I said I would (I didn't lie about that part), and I enjoyed it. Of course, that was my second time seeing it, but I stand by my earlier claim of "very enjoyable."

I went with my roomie Natalie and her friend (I suppose she's sort of my friend now, as well) Brittany. Let me tell you a little about my roomie. She's from Pensacola. (Florida... northern florida, different time zone=different world) And she's religious. And if you know anything about the movie... well, it was interesting.

Now before I get started, I must tell you that Natalie is fantastic. She's a real sweet heart, and we have a freakish amount in common - we both got real lucky with the roommate thing (she did get me, after all). Where we differ, however, is sometimes a problem because when we do differ, we're complete opposites. She's a conservative Republican and I'm a liberal would-be Democrat, if I hadn't registered as unaffiliated. She's religious and goes to church twice a week. I haven't gone to church since I was four. And as far as praying goes, if I do it all, my prayers go to "Whom it may concern."

So for a person like me, Bruce Almighty is a great movie, incredibly funny, and something to think about. For a person like Natalie, it was blasphemous. Entertaining in some parts, yes, and it was comical in some parts, but it was also very blasphemous and "didn't follow her beliefs."

It sucks to get out of a movie theatre and not be able to talk about the movie you just saw because God keeps getting in the way. Granted, if she were more of a friend and we were going home to different places, I would have put in my two cents anyway. But because I have to live with her, and we became friends more out of necessity at first (granted we're more like actual friends now), it wouldn't exactly be wise to piss her off and then have to be stuck in the same room with her all night. That wouldn't work very well at all.

Either way though, I still like the movie, and I still like what it says. Even if I don't necessarily believe it, 100%. If you don't like it, you can smite me, oh mighty smiter.

Hehe.
