What makes a Man?
What is a man, but a frail flesh shell?
Though stories of their deeds we often tell.
But what really makes a human great?
What is it about him that we appreciate?
Some say his looks, but age fades it away.
And a new beauty is found the very next day.
Some say that it is his heart of gold.
Be warned good people, even gold will errode.
Some say its his fourtune or fame.
But that can be taken away with scandals or flame.
Perhaps its his intellect? The knowledge he stores up in his head?
Perhaps, but what good is his knowledge when he is dead?
Maybe its his willingness to give up his life?
But more often he is taking a life with a gun, or a knife.
Could it be we admire mans loyalty?
Ha! I dont think so, consider his adultery.
I dont think we admire man because he is great.
I think its his will to keep going that we appreciate.
Because even when he messes up,
He will start over, and keep his chin up.
So what makes a man isnt money or looks.
It isnt his strength, or knowledge from books.
Its his will to go on at the end of the day.
Thats what makes a man I say.
