Raining Lies
So many lies, they fall around us like rain,
There's no way to escape the pain.
They’re only words but they hurt so badly,
But there is no way to change things, sadly.
Life must go on much like today,
No way to make this pain go away.
With no one to talk to about my dreams,
They fade away like my soul it seems.
Tears wash my face every night,
There’s no one there to put out the light.
My hands grow old as I write these words,
The silence sweeps over the call of birds.
My world is in darkness and I am alone,
I’ve no one to love and no place to call home.
