For the FMA Fans....Alchemy 101
I noticed that a lot of people are addicted to FMA and so I researched about alchemy...this is because I love you all so much....mwah!!!
ALCHEMY - ancient body of science of learning and seeking the ascertainty of a matter
TRANSMUTATION - understood as changing a form of "baser" materials into an object
=THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE=
Created by Nicholas Flamel...yes...the sought-to-be-fictional character of the Harry Potter Series really existed...
He created the stone but destroyed it on his 156th birthday because he did not want to be immortal..although his body never aged and he was never ill, he had eternal youth. So he died at the age of 156. Another reason was because people grew greedy, they had wars and commited theft to gain the stone...also, having the stone defied the first law of alchemy..equivalent exchange...all the more reason to crush it into pieces...this was said by a friend, Dr. Faustus, but nobody believed him, instead, they're still looking for the stone.
Roger Bacon (1214-1294) had been acused of fraud for reproducing the stone by the means ofpressurizing red water accompanied by Black Magic (witch craft or witches' chemistry) or necromancy.
The Greeks have tried to compute for the solution of the stone but failed. Mercury was the baser material which they removed the four Aristotelian elements: fire, water, earth and air, treated with arsenic and refined sulfur. But, one stone can only transmute anyhting to only one object. To make a different object, you have to create a different stone. Because, you have to use a different type of sulfur for a differnt stone. It was too much hastle so they discarded the idea.
=FLAME ALCHEMIST, ROY MUSTANG=
>he existed during the 13th century
>He burned down his own house when he was six along with his family with a snap of his finger because he couldn't control it.
> Since he did not use a transmutation circle, nobody believed that such a young boy could do such strong alchemy without a circle so they sent him to jail because of murder and property damage. And they thought he used some witch craft so he was asked to be executed immediately.
>Before his execution day, he burned down the prison and escaped.
> He killed himself by turning himself to a human bonfire.
>Some people did not believe that he killed himself although they did believe that he died in the fire at the prison.
A saint, St. Albert the Great or Albertus Magnus (1206-1280) was also an alchemist...one of the best, actually. He could change the season of his garden at will...from summer to winter whenever he pleased.
Raymond Lully (1235-1315) cured a lady from cancer.
That's because I love you people so much that I gathered all those facts...and Roy Mustang was so hard to find...
