I've been browsing on Otakuboards, and I've just come across the Private/Catholic Schools thread. Now, I have nothing against people who don't like Private Schools, but honestly, it really annoys me when the complain about it. 'Oh, it made you sign an agreement.' Sure it did. That's so that if you do stupid things like drink on the school grounds, it can through you out without having a lawsuit slapped on them.
And sure, they may be strict. And you may have to wear a 'crappy uniform'. But in Australia, almost everyone has to wear a uniform and have their hair correct, and generally look good. A private school is one of the better places to go. That's right -- one of the better places. Because it's both tax and people paid, it means that it can offer all types of courses. My school offer apprenticeships, gives courses in Welding, Photography, and so on.
And, to be honest, it annoys me when people complain about going to a Private school when their parents are paying for it.
And, despite my complaining about my school in my blog, to me, a private school it better than a public school, anyday.
