Backgrounds and Bitterness
This blog seems rather stagnant, doesn't it? I'm not really posting much at all. Of course, I'm not posting much in my other blogs either, so I suppose it's sort of even. Not so much stagnant as fair, really.

Oh, there I go again; justifying my laziness. I'm so bad at that! I always do it, and it's just terrible of me.

Anyway, I suppose some information about myself can't hurt.

I'm an Otaku-ite -- I'm currently an Otaku Idol over there. [To see what Otaku Idol is about, go here.] My name is actually Kathryn, but people mostly call me Rae, Lady Asphy, Asphy. Sometimes, if you're Sara, it's Miss Asphy. Heh.

Rae originated in the Newbie Lounge. The Newbie Lounge was the introduction forum -- the Newbies came and posted introduction threads in the Lounge. A group of people answered these threads and tried to make them feel welcome. However,it's hard to reply to 'Hi, I'm new,' so in the end there were big conversations between the welcomers (Into which, read 'SPAM'). Anyway, Sere Tuscumbia [you won't see her around much anymore -- she's 'outgrown' Otakuboards, or something] and I became the 'Newbie Forum Patrol' -- we welcomed everyone to post a thread in the Lounge. Now, at this time, I was involved in an RPG called SYF: Garrotted Threats, which was created by liamc2. In the RPG, my character's name was Raellyra Stanton; Rae for short. Sere Tuscumbia started calling me Rae, and it caught on. Everyone started calling me Rae. It was easier just to get them to call me Rae than explain to them why everyone was calling me that when it wasn't my name.

And that's the story of how I became Rae. As for the Asphy things, it's because I'm Lady Asphyxia on Otakuboards.

I have just finished my first webpage, designed completely with HTML and CSS. No Frontpage, no geocities, just a lot of swearing and juggling things around.

My web page is an Archive (by which I mean you send in a story to me, I host them. There's no PHP.) for Original Fiction -- no fanfiction. Much as I love fanfiction, there are enough archives for it already.

Anyway, my web site is called Bitter Sweet.

Cheers,
Rae
