Hey!
Sorry I haven't updated in a while but when i got the chance, the O was down...anyway, the fight that I was writing about before has been solved and we're friends again so its all good...
Here is the poem that i have to write for English tomorrow so I wanna know what u guys think. It's based on a book that I had to read so here it is:
THE KITE RUNNER
Kite running...
I knew I was going to win
Baba was watching...
I had to win.
There were dozens of them
In the sky, looking like paper birds
Soon the cutting started
and one by one the defeated kites
whirled out of control
falling to the ground
prizes for the kite runners
Mine was not one of them.
Hours passed,
and the number of surviving kites went from 50
to a dozen
Mine was one of them
But one kite,
the blue one,
was wreaking havoc on everyone
I counted eleven kites that he cut...
I was scared.
The cuts on my fingers
were growing worse by the minute.
I gave the string to Hassan
so I could suck away the blood.
His hands could get cut up, I didn't care,
and neither did he
because he's my servant
and my friend.
Then it was just me and him
the blue kite,
the menace of the sky.
I prayed to Allah that I would win.
And then it was over.
I heard the roar of the crowd
people were crowding around
and I couldn't move.
I screamed and cheered along with the rest
The people were closing in
Baba was nowhere in sight.
But the competition wasn't done.
Hassan,
the kite runner,
the best in Kabul,
still had to run that kite,
the blue one,
that was tumbling to the ground
being carried farther and farther away
by the winter winds.
He started to run and I yelled after him
"For you a thousand times over"
was the last thing he said
before disappearing down the street.
I went back to the gate
to wait fro Hassan
but he was taking to long.
I was getting restless.
So I ran down the street after him.
....
that's what i have so far...how is it? Huggles!
