Random Drive-in Experiences...
lovelyEowyn and duorocks wanted to do something tonight...(july 3), so...we went to the drive-in on the south (aka crime-infested) side of town. (Our other option was our crappy excuse for an amusement park, also on the south side.) It's a triple feature, but we only stayed for SM2. White Chicks was next, and I (the driver) refused to see through a minute of it. Perhaps I could have tolerated it, if it weren't for the constant smell of smoke that was giving me a headache....let's just say, I doubt it was all cigarette smoke...*grasps head* That, and the scary drunk guy in the truck next to us....*shudders* It was fun to be out w/ the girls (we had a few other friends along who I hadn't seen in awhile), but I was really tired. (We spent all day cleaning the house.) The drive home was exciting... *shakes head* The seats of my car are some of the most comfortable in the world...which is a blessing and a curse at times. Tonight, let's just say it was a curse....*shakes head again* My friend, Allison, is incredibly spastic. She and Allie had fun poking each other, screaming, and 'cuddling' in the backseat, while I tried to drive across town on the highway, not realizing my lights were still on dim, from the drive-in...ooops! Overall, the experiences of the evening were 'interesting'. The best part? Hearing "Land Down Under" on the radio and jammin' w/ duo to it! That's probably one of my favorite songs in the world. (In the top 20 at least, and I love music.)
I'm realizing I'm a little loopy, so I'm going to stop writing. (It's all that secondhand pot...) *groans*

heebie jeebies...
Good Morning everyone, it's about 5:30. Here's my story...
I'm lying down trying to sleep. I've just been having a weird dream about trying to save a family from a house that haunted or something weird like that. At some point, I open my eyes, because I'm looking at my clock. Suddenly, (because of the stupid bright light on my stereo) I can see a figure standing next to bed walking near me. I start freaking out (in my head) for a moment, but then think 'it's mom'. The figure's saying something like, "We need you to help more." I start trying respond with, "what d'ya want me to do, mom?" I'm trying to wake myself up enough to talk to her, and suddenly the person disappears...freaky...especially since my door never opened. That would have woken me up in the first place (if it'd been mom) since I'm a pretty light sleeper. So, I got pretty freaked about all this, and decided I couldn't stand to lie in bed staring into the semi darkness... *hugs kagami* That was so weird... I'm sure it was just a product of me being not quite awake yet, but still... *shudders*
*sighs* Let's post about happier things...
I saw SpiderMan2 yesterday. It wasn't bad. *shrugs* All of the CG SpiderMan kinda annoys me. I get really sick of watching it. That's my main issue w/ the look of the film. The plot is also...hmmm...I don't know...overly depressing? With the constant 'we can't be together' thing and everything always going wrong for Peter, it gets kinda old after awhile. But, since some people haven't seen it yet, I won't put any spoilers in here. Couple of things to watch for: (1) The dagger Harry uses (I'm not giving anything away, since it was in the previews.)- It's the EXACT same dagger my friend bought at the Renaissance Faire when we were in Colorado. Kinda crazy, huh? It's a $20 dagger!!! (2) The play MJ's in- The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. It was a big deal for my friends and me b/c it's one of our favorite movies. (Colin Firth, Rupert Everett, Reese Witherspoon, Dame Judy Dench, etc.) MJ plays the role of Cecily. (very fitting if you know the movie/play.) What really cracked us up was watching the credits. Near the end of the cast list, you see "Algernon Moncrieff" "John Worthing" (not sure if I spelled the last names right) amongst the character list. They're the only ones in 'quotes', since they're characters from the play. If you haven't seen The Importance of Being Earnest, you really need to. However, you have to listen to it. Most of the humor is in the dialogue.
Also, last night, we went over to duo's house and watched The Who's Tommy....talk about weird...There was stuff I understood, stuff that made sense, and then...there's was a lot of stuff that didn't... All in all, I can only describe it w/ the word "interesting." *shakes head* It's one of those random movies my dad really wanted me to see. *shakes head again*
You know? This is probably getting too long. I'll see everyone later. When gets lighter outside, I'll try going back to sleep... *grins sheepishly*

Happy July!
Everyone misunderstood the term "run"...I have to drive the kids up to the pool...like "running errands"...I don't actually have to run!! lol I need to be more specific...
Anyway:
Last night, duo and I went to Blockbuster to meet Molly. Hey, Molly!! That was really fun. It's nice to know there are actually faces behind the screens. Afterwards we went back to my house and watched A Mighty Wind (from the creators of Waiting for Guffman and Best in Show). It was hilarious (I'd seen it about 3 times before, but it always cracks me up! "Thank God for model trains...If it weren't for model trains, they wouldn't have gotten the idea for the big trains!" lol) Before that, we watched a few episodes of Scrapped Princess. For some reason, it keep reminding me of Record of Lodoss War, but probably just because of the Medieval setting...and Leo...Man he cracks me up...the whole eager hero-wannabe persona...lol I think Shannon and Raquel are my fave characters, but I like Chris, too. I'm kinda sad that we're all done watching DNAngel. It's such a great series! I recommend it to all of you! It has the most resolved anime ending I've seen. (which is the one thing I really dislike about most anime...think Neon Genesis Evangelion...*gags*)
Anyway, that's enough for now!
Me: Say 'goodbye', Kagami!
Kagami: Goodbye, Kagami!
Me: *slaps forehead*

i'd rather be sleeping....
Good morning everyone! *groans* It's not that early: 9:40 *shrugs* I'd just rather be sleeping. But since it's Wed. I have to do the swim team runs again.... *moans*
Kagami: No more whining, Artemis!!
Art: Hey, I don't post like this!
Kagami: You do now!
Art: Kagami, you can't talk...or type...You're not even 24 hours old!!
Kagami: but I'm a special bear!
Art: I know! I made you! *hugs Kagami*
Kagami: *hugs back*
Art: *sighs* I feel like a little kid. But that's ok. I've only got a month and a half before college. I have to get all the kid out of me now... *cries*
Kagami: It's ok! I'm going w/ you!
Art: Thanks, Kagami! Now let's go pick up the kids again.
Kagami: Oh joy...
Art: tell me about it...

Quizzes by me!
You're Galadriel!! Powerful and wise. You rock! You're the real ruler of Lothlorien. (Who remembers Celeborn anyway?) I'm sorry that Cate Blanchett did such a poor job of portraying your understanding, mother-like qualities in the first movie. (She does better in the extended scenes.)
What female LotR character are you? brought to you by Quizilla
You're Hilde Schbeiker!! You're more playful and fun-loving than any of the other girls, but you can crack down and be serious when you need to. You have a good heart and do what you can to help bring about peace as a soldier. You're in love with Duo Maxwell.

Shopping and such...
*sighs* I've been spending too much money...but it's all good. I bought the HP3 soundtrack last night. *listens to 'Double Trouble'* Good song. I've resisted the urge to buy the other two soundtracks, but I had to get this one. Today, duo and I went to the east mall (it's bigger than the one on our side of town....east side snobs....) I found the sheet music for LotR 2&3. I've been looking for it for awhile. So, it was worth the buy, too. We walked into VanMaur and listened to the live piano music. (What's up w/ that?!? It's a department store!! Why pay someone to play the piano in a department store?!?) After that, we found the Teddy Bear Station, and duo insisted that I get a bear (and she even paid for it!) So, I made a koala and named him Kagami. *hugs Kagami* He's so cute! I know I'm too old for stuffed animals, but this one's special. ^_^
I guess that's all for now. I'll talk to you all later!
