   check this out!
Long-wang ~ The Dragon
You are Long-wang!

Mythological Background: Yes, the dragon represents
everything you think of when you think of a
dragon - fearsome and invincible. Also, it is
greatly respected just because of that fact.
The dragon has a very protective aspect to it.
Even Jupiter reminds you of intense smashing
power. The dragon is almost always surrounded
by rain-bearing clouds and fog; and the
appearance of its constellation always signals
rainfall and lightning. It's also a symbol of
authority worn by the nobility and the imperial
class. Japanese Name: Seiryuu.

   Good Morning.
Why must I get up so early in the summer?!?!
I quit swim team several years ago so I could sleep in during the summer, and now I have to get up anyway to take the other kids....*shrugs* oh well.
Um...comment replies:
Patita: Si, yo hablo espanol. (not bothering w/ accent marks and the like.)
Kira127: They let us change roomies if there's a problem, so I'm not too worried.
Demonsprite: I missed you, too. *remembers tetherball incident* Yeah....that sucked. lol
Niko: Jap. would be awesome if they offered it. Actually, if I'd been allowed to take Latin through high school, that's what I'd be taking now.
duo: *sticks tongue out* tues/thurs will be nice, but m/w/f are gonna suck... *shrugs* At least I don't have to drive to class!! Be prepared for a skinnier Katie when I come back in Oct to see the baby!

Hmm...recent movie reviews:
Ella Enchanted
While I was in CO, I got to see it for 50 cents! You have to keep it separate from the book. *shakes head* They really pushed making it both Medieval and Modern. *shrugs* Some greats they managed to include are Eric Idol (Monty Python) and Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Robin Hood Men in Tights). Both were a nice touch. Hugh Dancy played Prince Char. Ladies, he's going to be all the reason you need to see the new King Arthur movie. He plays Sir Galahad (my absolute fave knight of the Round Table.) Anne Hathaway put out a good performance. Minnie Driver wasn't too bad either. *shrugs*
Kill Bill Vol. 1
Ok, I finally seen this. Now, I can see Vol. 2. I have to agree that it was a little action heavy. The animation was a little weird but not too bad. All of the blood spurts were unrealistic (think Holy Grail: 'tis but a flesh wound!) All in all, it was good enough, or at least intriguing enough for me to want to see Vol 2, but probably not in theatres.

Well, that's enough for today. Now I have to pick the kids up from swim team! *groans*

   I missed you guys!!
It's great to be back! I miss Kim...and her dog Minnie...*tears*
Well, the train was interesting. The train home was 3 hours late... yeah....that sucked....then they put us in the car for the disabled, and some little old man thought it was his personal car, so he freaked out...it was pretty tense...*shakes head*
Hmm...what all did we do this week....We went to the Renaissance Faire. (very cool) We saw a lot of the sites: Garden of the Gods, the Cave Dwellings, Seven Falls, Cave of the Winds, Bishop's Castle, and San Isabell Lake. It was a lot of fun, but I'm glad to be home. I have to go up to Atchinson tomorrow morning. *shrugs*
Anyway, I'll talk to everyone more when I get back tomorrow night. I'm exhausted right now.

Well, crap. (Guys, you may not want to read this one. I feel no shame in writing this...)
Ok, I know girls can end up on the same cycle by being around each other physically, but it seems like several of us are on the same cycle through Otaku...weird...Anyway, I'm afraid I'm gonna really sick like I usually do. It really sucks since I'm about to go on a week long trip....waaaaaaaaaah!! I really don't want to ride the train like this... *pukes* see ya all later...*cries*

   Goodbye for now
Wow, it's 4 a.m. In 23 hours, I will be on an Amtrak train to CO to see one of my best friends in the world...Kim!!! I'm really excited! I haven't seen her for a couple of months. However, this does mean that I probably won't get to talk to any of you for at least a week. I get back around 3 a.m. next Thurs and on Fri I have college registration 3 hours away from home....I'm gonna log lots of travel time....Oh well. Amtrak's a lot faster than driving all the way. I think we're making the trip in less than 6 hours...(Usually, it's 10 by car.) So, everyone pray that we have a safe trip. (Not that I'm really worried. I think we're way safer in a train than in a car.)
I guess I should update everyone on what I've done the last few days. Yesterday (Tues.) I went to Pilsen, KS with my youth group. (Everyone kept calling it Pilsbury.) I'm surprised it's even called a town. We saw about ten houses and a little antiques/craft shop. Other than that, the only things there were a grade school, a gorgeous old church, and a graveyard. We went for the church b/c Fr. Kapaun grew up in Pilsen and used to be the pastor there. He was a chaplain in Korea and was captured by the commies. He was really inspirational to the other soldiers and ended up dying there. He's a "Servant of God" in the Catholic Church now. (which means he's on his way to being named a saint.) It was really peaceful there in Pilsen. The closest thing we saw to "rush hour" was when four cars drove by in a matter of 2 or 3 minutes. It was crazy. We only saw two people while we were there: a kid on a bike and another kid walking. We also saw a dog once... lol As far as we know, that's the total population. ^_^ They don't even have their own pastor any more. The entire county has one priest. Every Sunday he travels to the 3 Catholic churches besides his own to say Mass. It must be really hard in the winter.
It took us a little over and hour to get up there, so we listened to some fun music in the car. My sister and I rode w/ our pastor (Fr. Weldon) in his truck. We listened to CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival) almost the entire way up (nearly driving everyone else crazy.) On the way home, we listened to Bohemian Rhapsody (since the town originally spoke Bohemian), the Cranberries, Linkin Park, New Found Glory, and Weird Al. All the NFG stuff was covers. (Father thought they were ruining some of the songs, but he laughed anyway.) Overall, it was a very interesting and exhausting day, but I had a good time. I think they're going to make the Pilsen trip a yearly thing. (which doesn't mean a whole lot to me, since I'll be at college next year...)
Well, I think I've bored everyone to tears by now. I'm going to see what everyone else has written while I was gone. See ya in a week!

and, of course, quizzes...
got this one from Demonsprite:
Guardian Angel
You are a two-winged Guardian Angel!
Wandering the realms of the mortals you often bear
the form of a mere human. It is your task to
guard your charge against the perils of the
shadows. You are good-natured and friendly,
trusted by everyone, helpful and kind. But
when in danger you show a fierce protective
side that often surprises your adversarys.

You are Proverbs.

Which book of the Bible are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
Apparently, this was made by a "Bible Christian". (There aren't "elders" in the Catholic Church.) I expected to be Psalms or Song of Songs (I'm always singing.) *shrugs*

You belong in the world of the pure and religious.
You belong somewhere with a strict religious and
moral code, and firm beliefs on those subjects.
Perhaps a church or similar institution would
be your best bet on finding such a place,
though if you go overboard with your religious
ways and become fanatic, a mental hospital may
be the closest you can get to pure white and
peaceful as the afterlife.

Where do you belong?(ANIME IMAGES)

About halfway through the quiz, I realized that "crimsoncrushedrose" is very anti-organized religion. I changed all my answers specifically to get that result. Don't let me start on my rant against anti-Christians...

evil fairy
you are an evil fairy, full of power, you tend to
use that power to destruct. But I know that you
can help our world be a better place, with your
strong will! please use your power wisely...

Double, double, toil and trouble...(Includes HP3 spoilers in case you live under a rock and haven't read the books....) ^_^
Yes, I saw HP3 on opening day! (w/ duorocks of course.) It was an awesome movie, but I think my cousin described it well when she said it was like the book on fast forward. They left out so much! I was a little disappointed to see no Oliver Wood (unless I simply missed him.) I also don't understand why they had auditions for Cho, because I didn't see her either. (not that I mind...*rolls eyes*) My only real casting complaint was Lupin. He's my favorite adult character, so I guess I was gonna be a little hard to please in that respect. (The guy who played him, played the villain in Timeline. I had a bit of trouble separating him from that character.) I was very impressed with Professor Trelawney. That woman was excellent! ^_^ Dan, Emma, and Rupert all performed very well (Harry, Hermione, and Ron are developing a bit of a love triangle...) O.O But what was with Malfoy's hair? Did anyone else think he looked a little too much like Eminem? >.<
I was pretty pleased that what they kept of book was usually pretty accurrate. Obviously, they had to add things sometimes to achieve the effect of some of the longer segments of the book. The entire sequence that was turned back by Hermione seemed a little different but not too bad. The Maurader's Map was way more complicated than I imagined it, but it was really cool. The dementors, luckily, weren't too cheesy. Though they looked an awful lot like Ringwraiths, huh? (That's Rowling's fault. They were such a blatant Tolkien rip off!) ^_~
I guess my only real complaint was that they whole thing went too fast and lacked some continuity with the 1st two movies. (The location of the Whomping Willow was completely different from #2.) Was anyone else surprised to go straight from Christmas to spring? I felt like I was being rushed. The movie could have been quite a bit longer and no one would have noticed. *shrugs* I guess we'll have to see if the DVD has any extra scenes. I really hope so.
To those who asked, yeah, The Rutles: All You Need is Cash is hilarious. If you like the Beatles and Monty Python, you'll enjoy it! To Kira, sorry if I sounded pissy about the cat thing. It wasn't intended in such a way.
*glances at clock* (3:38 AM) To everyone, good night!

Yeah! That's cool. I can deal w/ that! BTW, I found the quiz on Willow's site.

You are a Day Dreamer..
Daydreamers tend to be away from the normal, and
have a deeper aspect when looking at things.
Most of the time, thier outcasts of the social
society, but don't worry. It just means your so
deep it scares thier simple little brains.

What kind of Dreamer are you?
