I don't even know what to put here...
Ok...serious stuff first:
Several of you have asked about my mom. She's doing better, as far as I can tell. She's handling the insulin thing taking things one day at a time. As far as I know, the baby's doing great! ^_^ The only worry is that he/she will grow too big b/c of the gestational diabetes. But if you could keep both Mom and the baby in your prayers, I'd appreciate it. ^_^
As to Kim...well, I'd really like to go see her again... *sniff* That poor girl. I sent her a long email yesterday. Hopefully, that'll help cheer her up. And...I'm going to try not to stress out about friends who can't live decent lives... *shakes head*
Crazy fun stuff:
Last night I went to Borders and bought Inside the Walls of Troy. I'm almost done with it already. It's not too bad, sort of look at the women in the Trojan war. (at least that's what it says.) Basically, the only women they gave any depth to are Helen and Cassandra (they're the only ones who get to tell any of the story at least.) It's alright, but I don't think it's as great as Allison said it would be...*shrugs* And, the night before, I got DNAngel #3!! ^_^ As well as The Wayfarer Redemption, so I'm all set for college! ^_~
okay, so today's question:
Who is your favorite writer of all time?
Kinda tough, eh? I'm pretty big on reading, so that's really hard for me. Again, I'll highlight a few faves:
J.R.R. Tolkien
Where would fantasy fiction be today without LotR?!?! ^_^ I'm very impressed with this man on the whole. (I mean, creating languages?!?) ^_^ Crazy stuff. He's a great role model, too! ^_^
C.S. Lewis
I should sort of include him w/ Tolkien. The men were great friends after all! The Chronicles of Narnia are essential to any child's reading list, but Lewis also wrote some great books on morality and religion. Want something really crazy? Read The Screwtape Letters! ^_^ Now that's crazy! ^_^
Jane Austen
I can't help it...I loved Pride and Prejudice! This woman offers a brilliant look at 19th Century British soceity.
Shakespeare
I know, I know...he's pretty overdone...but I loved Hamlet! *sniff* That is definitely the best play I've ever read! I also like Macbeth, Othello, Merchant of Venice...... ^_~
J.K. Rowling
yeah...I'm a Harry Potter fan... ^_^ While she's not as classical as some of these other writers, she really captivates you.

I could go for quite awhile on fave authors, but I'll leave it at these for now! ^_~
