Dare to be Stupid

J: (on the couch)
G: Artukei?
J: Huh?
G: What kinda name is “Artukei”?
J: It’s actually an acronym for…
G: Is that like Artoo-deetoo’s cousin, or something?
J: It’s my name and I like it. That’s why I chose it.
G: Zinglebert-Bembledack!
J: Nya?
G: Winglebert-Humptyback!
J: Um…
G: Slut van Wallah!
J: What?
G: Alright. Cringybun-Fisklebars.
J: What are you doing?
G: Your new name.
J: I don’t want one.
G: *heavy sigh* (suddenly serious) What’s happened to you?
J: Huh?
G: What happened to that kid I always goofed around with and shared jokes with? You’ve become the one thing I feared and yet always knew that you’d become. An adult! A stuffy, humorless, tightwad of an adult!
J: I am not a tightwad! And I still know how to have fun!
G: Then how come you never play along with me?
J: Well… wait. Is that what this is all about?
G: (nods)
J: …… Yingybert-Danglebans!
G: Vinglebert-Weembledank!
J: Steevybuns-Butrutchundrun!
G: Englebert-Humperdink!
J: Tingle…. wait, what was that last one?

-- later

J and G: (leaning over the couch and wearing blue shirts)
G: What are they doing?
J: (looking through binoculars) What?
G: I said, ‘what are they doing now?’
J: *groan* Gah, I am getting so sick of answering that question!
G: Hey, you’re the one with the rifle! I can’t see squat! So don’t yell at me, cause I’m just not gonna stand here and play with my…!
J: Alight, look! They’re just standing there and talking. OK? That’s all they’re doing. That’s all they ever do is just stand there and talk. That’s what they were doing last week. That’s what they were doing when you asked me five minutes ago. So five minutes from now when you ask me ‘what are they doing?’, my answer’s gonna be, ‘they’re still just talkin’ and they’re still just standin’ there!’
G: …… What do you think they’re talking about?
J: You know what? I hate you.

-- even later

J and G: (singing)
“Gonna make a break and take a fake
I’d like a stinkin, achin shake
I like vanilla, Its the finest of the flavors
Gotta see the show,
Cause then you’ll know
The Vertigo is gonna grow
Cause it’s so dangerous,
You’ll have to sign a waiver”

-- even later

J and G: (singing) “I’m driving down Highway 40 in my big old pickup truck.”
G: Like fishies!
“Blime blivin blown blighblay blorby blin bly blib blold bigup blug.”
J: Like monsters!
“ARRARAR RAAR RAR RAR ARRRAAAAAAHH!!!!”
G: Like Cathrine Hephburn!
J: What?

-- much later

J and G: (dancing around and singing in thick Scotish accents)
G: “I lost his armpit on the soup of Barbi Barbi bum!”
J: “For I’m a tech of internet. Two dudes. Is ‘Friends’ still on?”
G: “But what if met m’kay a chained up thing is all that’s stuck?”
J: “And if Zippy drives my CD-ROM. Don’t talk to my old grey foot. Ach!”
Both:
“French erotic film
An old blue Scot called Dill
A windy shaky driver
Doesn’t look like they’ll revive her
Oh ho! La la la la la! La la la la la!”
A: (walks in) ?????
J: Oh ho! La la la la… 0_0 ! -_- *ahem*
G: Huh?
A: …… I’ll just… leave you two alone for a while. (walks away)
J: (looks at Gummy)
G: (looks at Justin)
J: …… Oh ho!
Both: “La la la la la! La la la la la!

That's Why I Love Her

A: (napping on the couch) Zzz...
J: That’s the great thing about cat-girls. They’re almost as lazy as me. And they’re the most kawaii girls in the universe. (lightbulb) Hmm... (pulls a cat toy out of his pocket) I originally bought this at the shelter when I adopted Felicia. Maybe I can get some use out of it yet. (devilish grin, walks up behind the couch, taps Aisha’s nose with the toy)
A: (wakes up) Nya?
J: (dangles the toy in front of her face)
A: What are you doing?
J: Nothing. ^_^
A: (swats at the toy) Cut it out.
J: (keeps swinging the toy over her head)
A: (swats at it again) Get that thing outta my face. (keeps batting it away) Umf. Grr. Nya! (starts meowing cutely and punching the toy like a cat) Nya. Nya. Nya!
J: *laughs* ^_^
A: Nya! Nya nya nya nya!
J: (keeps laughing)
A: Nya! 0.0 (\ /) <--(glares at Justin) Grrrr!
J: Hmm?
A: (snatches the toy from Justin, stands up and gets in Justin’s grill, practically growling) You do that again, and this cat’ll have more than just your tongue.
J: 0.0\/
A: (storms upstairs)
J: ..... Aisha, wait!
“SLAM!”
J: (runs upstairs, knocks on his door) Aisha, please...
A: Shut up!
J: *sigh* (opens the door)
A: (sitting on the bed, turns her back to Justin)
J: I’m sorry, Aisha. I wasn’t laughing at you. I mean, I was laughing at you, but... you were just so cute. I actually like it when you act like that.
A: ... Grrr.
J: Aisha, I didn’t mean to insult your pride or anything. It’s just I don’t see that side of you much and... I really like it.
A: ........
J: Gomenasai. (walks out)

-- living room

J: (sitting on the couch)
“Meow!”
J: Huh?
A: (in the doorway on all fours) Meow. Meow!
J: o.0
A: (crawls up to Justin, starts purring and rubbing up against his leg) Purr. Meooow! Is this what you meant?
J: Yeah.
A: (hops up next to Justin)
J: (scratches behind her ears)
A: Purr. (licks his cheek, lays down on his lap)
J: (strokes her back, whispering) Ii neko-chan. Kire kire.
A: Purr. Meow. ^_^

Gummy: (walks in) He- 0.0 (starts singing) “Can you feel the love tonight?”
J: GET OUT! (throws a cushion)
“BOOM!”
G: (on the floor) Medic! Man down!

I've been growing my hair for over three months now! It's the longest it's ever been in my entire life! Why? 1. I had to grow it out for the Easter pagent. And 2. I just felt like it. xp

Guess what? It's survey time! I got this from Deej.

   What? What'd I do?
I got some negs on the current theme! What gives? What? Do some of you think it's too.... raunchy... perverse? WHAT?!? If this is the case, it is most certainly not intentional. You know me, right? The current story's about Felicia, so I have a Felicia theme. I'm just going with continuity here. But if anyone finds the theme a little bit poor in taste, tell me! WORK WITH ME HERE, PEOPLE!

*deep breath* Okie-day. Today's chapter is extra long, but it's a good'en! So grab some pockey and enjoy!

Making Friends

As dusk started to enter, I couldn’t stand it anymore. I had to see the girls! I’d been thinking about them all day. Well, except for about an hour of the afternoon. But I couldn’t just up and leave without saying this time. I told Aisha that I had some errands to run downtown. After dinner I hopped in my car and made a beeline towards the abandoned station. As I navigated the tunnels and stairwells and got closer to the platform, I could already hear voices. “Meow! Give it back!” It was Kanasuki. Then I heard someone chuckle and reply, “Come and get it.” Summer. I silently crept down the stairs to see what was going on. Kanasuki was chasing Summer as she jumped all over the place. She was clutching a pink blanket. The same blanket Kanasuki had given me last night. “It’s mine! Give it!” she whined. Summer jumped onto the top of the train and dangled the blanket over her. “Let’s see you jump for it,” she said. Kanasuki tried her best, but she couldn’t jump very high. No more than a foot or two. Every time she missed her precious linen by just inches. With each jump, she uttered little human like grunts. Typical. But as she continued the grunts slowly turned into small mews and she came down on all fours with each landing. She looked exactly like a cat jumping for a dangling toy. “Kawaii!” I started laughing at this cute scene. The girls' ears perked up and they looked in my direction. Sam Fisher I was not. I stood up from the shadows and revealed myself. Kanasuki yelled out, “Artukei-sama!” and started scampering towards me. Summer jumped down and followed close behind. I started running down the stairs, but I had only taken three steps before Kanasuki was beside me purring and nuzzling my arm. Summer jumped up and perched herself on the banister. “You came back,” she said. “I just had to step out and check on a few things,” I said. Felicia heard Kanasuki yell and was now running towards us. She stopped when she got to the foot of the stairs. Apparently, she was surprised to see I’d returned. “Artukei! What are you doing here?” The answer in my mind was ‘I couldn’t stop thinking about you.’ But I replied, “I just came back to give a proper ‘thank you.’ And a ‘sorry’ for leaving so suddenly.” I looked around the station and waited a second for the fourth member of the crew to appear. But I should’ve known better. “Well Felicia, Kanasuki, Summer, thank you so much for your hospitality last night. It’s been a real pleasure meeting you all and I sincerely hope we meet again.” I was about to start passing out hugs, but Kanasuki seized my arm and screamed, “IE! MEOW!” I glanced down at her in shock and so did the other two girls. “Kanasuki-chan! Dai jobu desu ka?” I asked. She shook her head. “Artukei-sama. Dame. I have more questions.”
“Kanasuki, please. Some other time, I promise.” Then she deployed her secret weapon: a single sniff. My Achilles heel. I couldn’t stand to see any girl cry, especially the really cute ones. Kanasuki was turning out to be my ultimate weakness. I breathed a heavy sigh and said, “OK, but make’um quick.”

Kanasuki practically dragged me to her room. We both sat down on her bed that was covered with stuffed animals. “If I may?” she shyly beseeched. “Dozo. Go ahead,” I said. “I really have only one question,” she said. “Last night, you.... squeezed me.” She was asking about the hug I had given her. Well, I did say ‘ask me later.’ “Oh? Oh yeah. That’s called a hug.”
“Hug?” she mewed. “Yeah. That’s a hug,” I said. “I hugged you.”
“Why?” she asked. She really didn’t understand the meaning of a hug. I found that so cute and at the same time slightly sad. I tried to explain as best I could one of the most impulsive expressions of human emotion. “Well..... um...... you’re just so cute.” Of course, Kanasuki “nyad” in perplexity. Plus, it wasn’t that good a clarification, anyway. “Um.... let me see if I can explain it.” I looked around at all the stuffed toys that surrounded her bed. “Kanasuki,” I asked, “when you take one of your stuffed animals and you hold it really tight, how do you feel?”
“When I hold it tight?” she asked. “Yeah,” I said. “How do you feel?” She thought about it for a second, then her ears folded slightly and she whispered, “........ Scared.”
“.... oh? Oh.... um....” That wasn’t the answer I was expecting. Why would she feel scared? Well, sometimes when kids get scared, they hug their toys. I know I did once. “Wait, forget that. Forget that. Start over.” I needed to capture the right emotion. “Kanasuki-chan, which of these is your favorite?” She pointed at a rag doll with yellow yarn hair. It looked old and worn. She’d probably had it all her life. I picked it up and handed it to her. Immediately, she smiled and held it close. “There,” I said. “Right there.” She looked at me with a startled expression. “Nya? What?”
“That’s a hug. You just hugged it.”
“I did?” she asked smiling. “Yeah,” I said. “Now, when you hugged it, how did you feel?”
“.... Happy.”
“Why?” I asked. “Is it the doll? What about her makes you feel happy?” She looked at the doll like she was studying for an exam as she tried to put her feelings into words. Now she knew how I felt. “Um.... she’s so pretty and..... I don’t know. She just makes me feel happy,” she said. “Well, Kanasuki-chan,” I said, “that’s the same reason I hugged you.” She looked at me, eyes glittering. “Honto?” she asked excitedly. “Hai,” I nodded. “So,” she asked, “a hug is something you do to someone that makes you happy?”
“........ That’s not the way I would’ve put it. But I think that’s the best explanation for a hug I’ve ever heard,” I said as I smiled cheerfully. “Yes. That’s exactly what you do.”
“So desu ka. Then..... hehe!” Kanasuki giggled then quickly leaned forward and tried out her newfound knowledge of the hug on me. She squeezed me tight and rubbed her head against the side of my face as she purred. “You’re like a big teddy bear,” she laughed. “Does this mean I make you happy, Kanasuki-chan?” I asked. I felt her head nod. I continued, “Is that why you crept in and slept next to me last night?” Kanasuki’s grip on me loosened and she let go of me. She folded her hands and looked at the floor, her face red with embarrassment. “I… I really like you,… Artukei-sama,” she quietly said in a quivering voice. “In fact,… I was wondering…” She nervously began to twiddle her fingers. Uh oh! Was she thinking…? “Artukei-sama,… wo-would you… would you… be… my…?” Please don’t let her say what I think she’s going to say. “… friend?” Huh? There wasn’t a ‘boy’ in that sentence. Phew! But wait. If that’s all she wanted to ask, why did she get so nervous? Well, I am the first human she’s ever met. So like a little kid. When you’re little, you always ask someone if they’ll be your friend.
Her innocence continued to move me. I held her gently and her body tensed at my touch. “Kanasuki-chan,” I whispered, “of course I will.” She looked up at me with a joyful smile and bright eyes. “Would you be my friend?” I asked. “HAI!” she screamed and hugged me tighter than before.

As I left Kanasuki’s room, I looked around and saw Felicia standing in front of hers, which was just one car over. “Artukei!” she called. “C’mere!” She was looking at me like a teacher who caught some-one passing notes in class. She even completed the look by beckoning me with her index finger. “Crap. Did I do something wrong?” I walked over fearing that she was going to scold me for taking off so rudely this morning. But she smiled and said, “Seems little Kanasuki’s becoming quite attached to you.” I breathed a small inward sigh of relief. “Yeah,” I said. “She’s such a precious little thing.” Then Felicia slid open the door of her car. “Do you mind if I talk with you for a moment?” she asked. “Not at all,” I said. She ushered me inside and I sat down on one of the old plastic seats. “If this is about my leaving,” I said, “again, I’m sorry. I had to get back home and check in with my fiancé.” After my confession, Felicia looked at me with a startled expression and stammered, “You... you have a...... oh, I’m so sorry. If I had known last night, I never would’ve..... I never stopped to think that....... oh, stupid. Stupid!” She punished herself by knocking her paw against her forehead. I reached out my arm and spoke calmly to her, “Hey, hey don’t beat yourself up. I should’ve said something. Anyway, everything worked out alright.” She looked at me a little insecurely, but I gave her a big smile in order to reassure her. Then her face relaxed and she smiled too. “You wear glasses,” she said. “Oh yeah,” I said. “The girls wouldn’t let me go back for them last night.” I started laughing and Felicia joined in. Yes! I love it when I can make a girl laugh. Especially if it helps them feel better. “So,” I asked, “what did you want to talk about?” She sat down across from me and looked at me with a cunning smile. “You didn’t come back just to say ‘thanks’, did you Artukei?” I glanced downwards and paused for a while. “No,” I finally said. “Why else?” Felicia asked. I took a deep breath and thought of the best way that I could formulate this expression. “I don’t know. You just fascinate me, I guess. All of you. And I really enjoyed your company.” She smiled gently. “So did I,” she said softly. “I actually hoped that you would come back. You see, you fascinate me as well.” I raised my eyebrow as if to say ‘really?’ “You know, you’re one of the few people who have ever called me a ‘lady’. In fact, last night you said it twice.” I shrugged. “I was just being polite.” Felicia stood up. “You showed respect.... to all of us. Something that some of us have never received. You treated us like we were..... normal.” Normal? This word is not in my vocabulary. I stood up. “What would be normal?” I asked. “What’s you definition of ‘normal’?” My question had caught her a bit off guard. She wrung her hands and glanced down for a second. “Well....” She looked up at me and said, “You.” I was silent for a moment, and then.... I burst out laughing. “I’m sorry,” I said as I propped myself against a pole. “It’s just I think that’s the first time anyone’s referred to me as ‘normal’! HAHA!” I calmed down and spoke to her very seriously. “What is it that makes me ‘normal’? The ears? The hair? The hands? No tail? Felicia, there’s no such thing as ‘normal’, because everyone is different.” She looked at me with intrigue as I went on. “The whole concept of normal contradicts itself. To say that something’s normal is to set it up as a standard by which everything else is judged. But it can’t work that way because everything is different. And if everything were normal, if everything were the same, life would be..... boring. Ironically, normality is diversity.” I put my hand on her shoulder. “Felicia, I know what you’re thinking. You’re a monster. You’re a freak. Well, you’re not. You’re just different. And so am I. You’re very special, very unique.” Felicia still didn’t look thoroughly convinced. And as long as I was speaking from my heart, I might as well say it. “And if you don’t mind my saying,..... very beautiful.” She looked at me with her eyes wide and shimmering. Obviously another phrase she hadn’t heard often. “Whoever your fiancé is,” she said softly, “she’s very lucky. I almost envy her.” Oh boy. Unintentionally, I had done it again. She hugged me and rubbed her head against my chest, purring. “You’re a good man, Artukei. Purr.”

After I tore myself away from Felicia, I attempted once again to make my exit. But the fates seemed against me that day. I had just stepped outside when I heard a strange noise in the shadows above the train. I looked up, but of course I saw nothing. “I wonder.” I slowly started to walk away, but I kept my ears astute. I took about ten steps and then I heard a faint sound from behind me. It was soft and almost inaudible; like a pillow landing on top of another. I whispered to the unknown entity, “Mademoiselle?” There was a gasp of surprise and fear. I turned around just in time to see her starting to run away again. I called out, “Giselle! Wait! Please wait!” She stopped and she trembled slightly at the sound of my voice. I slowly and calmly started to speak to her. “Please don’t run. Giselle, I have to tell you something. I understand. Humans must’ve been pretty...”
“I heard you,” she interrupted. A whispered ‘huh’ blew over my lips. She continued as she kept her back towards me. “Last night. And just now with Felicia.” Just now? Had she been eavesdropping on our conversation? But what she said next was the real shocker. “I am sorry, Monsieur Artukei. I have been cruel to you. I have been, how do you say? Prejudice. Madame Felicia was right. You are different. Different from all other humans I have met. I am sorry.” I was speechless. She turned slightly towards me, but still not enough for me to see her eyes. “I will give you another chance,” she said. I smiled and bowed lightly out of habit. “Mercy, mademoiselle. I accept your apology.” She turned her head a little more. Her long hair still shrouded most of her face, but I could vaguely see her eyes. She saw me smiling and ever... so... slowly..., for the first time...., she faintly smiled back. “Mercy, monsieur,” she whispered. Then, once again, as if I had made amends with a ghost, she vanished into the dark of the underground.

As soon as Giselle faded away, I heard someone’s voice behind me. “Hey, Artukei! Wait up!” I turned around and saw Summer running towards me. Dang! These girls all wanted a piece of me today. “Wussup?” I asked. “Hey… um…,” she started. Then she glanced down and curled her hair with her index finger. “I just wanna say that I still feel really terrible about what I did last night.” Obviously implying the way she jumped on me and put me in a bag. “Oh no. That’s OK. We all make mistakes,” I said. “No! I…,” she began. “I wanna, like, make it up to you.”
“Oh, you don’t have to…”
“No, I insist!” This girl was not going to take ‘no thank you’ for an answer. “Well, what did you have in mind?” I asked. Summer opened her mouth to say something, but then shyly looked back down at the floor. She had no idea! “Well,… I’m not sure,” she said, “but I totally promise I’ll make it up to you somehow.” I smiled and nodded.

It was almost nine when I started to say my goodbyes. I didn’t want to stay out too late or Aisha would get suspicious. The girls all gathered at the foot of the stairs, minus Giselle. “You’ll come back and see us again, right?” Kanasuki asked. “I guarantee it,” I said as I patted her head. “We enjoyed seeing you again,” said Felicia. “So did…. I.” My reply was stifled by a baffling and strangely encouraging sight. There, right over Felicia’s shoulder, cautiously inching towards me, was Giselle. The other girls followed my eyes and stared in shock when they saw her. She walked up right next to Felicia, looked up at me, brushed her hair to the side, and I saw her eyes for the first time. They were beautiful golden yellow eyes. I smiled warmly from this first act of trust. “Bon soir, Giselle,” I said. “Bon soir, Monsieur Artukei,” she replied. Felicia beamed with surprise and delight. Kanasuki grinned with infinite joy. And Summer made a few confused takes between the two of us as if she were thinking, “Who are you and what have you done with Giselle?” But it was at that moment when I first saw her eyes that I knew. “Felicia,” I said, “you asked me why I came back. I wasn’t sure at first, but now I know.” All four of them looked at me intently, awaiting my response. “I want to help,” I said. “All of you.”
“How do you mean?” Felicia asked. “It’s time to step out of the shadows and back into the sunlight,” I said. “You said the world wasn’t ready for you back then, well the world has changed. There’s a new era of tolerance and understanding. A new more accepting generation of society. And I want to help you meet it. Not just as a group, but individually.” They all looked at me in amazement as I went on. “I want to share with Kanasuki a world she’s only seen from a distance! I want to see Summer on stage at McMurphy! I want to…” My voice quieted down as I looked back into Giselle’s amber eyes. “I want to restore a trust that’s been dormant for many years. And I want to see you perform a comeback concert in Hancock Park, Felicia.” The girls were awestruck by my sudden charitable outburst. “You’d do that for us?” Felicia whispered. “If you’d let me,” I humbly said. All eyes fell on Felicia who crossed her arms and looked down at her feet. “You just don’t know when to quit, do you?” she softly said. Our hearts sank momentarily. But then she looked up and smiled brightly. “You certainly are a rare breed, Artukei.” She stepped forward and shook my hand. “It might not end up being a concert in Hancock,” she said with a grin, “but Felicia and the Strays are definitely gonna make a comeback.”

How do you like the new look? (You may have to switch your window to "fullscreen" to get the desired effect.) The strays have a home now! Also, the site music has changed. We've gone from cheery and whimsical to ethereal and ambient. "Ambient Gemini" by McVaffe is the flavor of the month... or week... or whatever. As always, if you like what you hear, you can download and keep it. Just click the indicated link above the cast pic.

Now the big news. Just as I predicted, my lappy's back and running like it's fresh out of the box! Thank you Trinity! So let's get back to the story of the strays. You might want to read the last few chapters if you forgot where we left off.

The Truth

As my eyes slowly opened the next morning, my whole body jerked in realization. The divine light had faded and I remembered my worldly obligations. I fumbled for my watch that was lying on my jacket. It was 8:43 am. “Crap!” I frantically looked around. Felicia was sound asleep and Kanasuki was...... Kanasuki?! She was sleeping on the other end of the mattress! “What’s she doing here?” Apparently she had come over during the night. Why? I didn’t have time to ask myself questions. I grabbed my jacket and gingerly stepped over Kanasuki to get my shoes on the other side. As I put them on, I looked at my slumbering feline hosts. I hated to run off without saying ‘thank you’, but I didn’t want to disturb them. Plus my relationship with my fiancé was at stake. Besides, I was going to come back and see them again.... hopefully. I stood up and whispered, “Osakini. Arigato gozaimasu,” and hurried out the door.

When I made it to the street, it was almost 9 o’clock. I remembered that Hamilton Street was about five miles from my neighborhood. I ran as if my shoe were a bomb and would go off if I stopped. I ran like the wind and made it back to Kennedy Street in about 50 minutes. It was 10 am when I reached the front door. I took a minute or two to catch my breath then slowly and quietly opened the door. I stuck my head inside and saw that there was no-one around. “Yokata. Looks like no-one’s awake yet.” I hung my jacket by the door, kicked off my shoes, and started walking towards the kitchen. After all that running I was ferociously parched. I was going to get a quick drink and slip back into bed before Aisha woke up. Just as I got to the middle of the foyer, I heard a voice from the top of the banister. “Oh, you’re already up.” I looked up and saw Aisha in her pale blue yukata. “Yeah,” I replied. “Just came in from a little jog.” Frak! Now I was going to have to mask my fatigue all day! I was just going to have some water, but now it looked like the menu had changed to coffee.

As I sipped my mug, Ozz floated down next to me. “So, where were you last night?” he asked. “I uh... I was at a friend’s. Like I said.”
“Who?”
“Uh…… it’s a secret.”
Ozz looked at me slyly. The suspicion was on. “Justin, come on. I’m your best friend. You can tell me. Besides, if there’s one thing I know, it’s how to keep a secret. Who am I going to tell?” He was right all the way around. I sighed, and began to tell Ozz my story. It was just between me and him and our brainwaves. I told him all about what really happened yesterday and last night. “So let me get this straight,” he said. “When you went to the shelter yesterday, you adopted that white cat you said you brought in. But when you got home, it ran away?” I nodded. “Like white-lightning,” I said. “ And last night, I went for a walk to clear my head.”
“And you got jumped? And when you regained conciousness, you found yourself in an old abandonned subway station?”
I continued to nod as he continued to cynically sum up my story. “And then you found out that your captor was the white cat. But she wasn’t really a cat, she was a nekomimi. And not just any nekomimi, but Felicia, the Darkstalker. And there were three other nekomimi’s there. A red-head, about ten years old, from Japan who’s curious about humans, a blonde from southern California who’s an aspiring actress, and a brunette from France who’s extremely rude.”
“Which most likely stems from deep rooted trauma concerning repression and bigotry......”
Ozz just stared at me. “Seriously,” he said, “where were you last night?”
“Ozz, it’s the truth! I swear!”
“Oh please. That sounds like one of those pathetic fan-fics writen by a lonely and perverted cat-girl fetishist.”
“Ozz, come on!”
“You don’t want to tell me the truth? That’s fine,”
he said as he started to float away. “But I’m your best friend, Justin. There’s supposed to be a trust here.”
“And there is a trust. I’m telling you the truth, Ozz. I swear. Scan me if you don’t believe it!”
He looked back at me, almost revolted by this last resort. “I’ll be with Kida,” he said bitterly and left the kitchen. Crap! My best friend now thought I was a total jerk. I finished my coffee as I thought how this day could possibly get any worse. Then Gumdrop jumped up onto the table. “What’cha havin’?” he asked as he surveyed my mug and spoke as if overdue for ritalin. “Coffee? Is that coffee? I need coffee. Coffee coffee coffee. Good coffee. Strong coffee. Good strong coffee. Where’s my gun? Stop hitting me. Who’s hitting you? STOP IT! Do you have tubes?” All I could do was stare at the grey plushie in maximum confussion. “What are you talking about?” I said. “TUBES!!” he screamed. I wasn’t in the mood for Gumdrop’s spastic psycho jargon today. “Not now, Gummy,” I sighed. But he might as well have been cousins with the energizer bunny. “Out of all my muscles, my butt is one of them!” he yelled somewhat proudly. I got up and headed towards the living room. “Go play with Kida,” I said. He hopped down and saluted, “Yokai, sacho-sama!” and ran off. I plopped myself on the couch as he marched up the stairs singing “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything.”

On into the afternoon, I couldn’t stop thinking about the girls. I really wanted to see them again. The memories of last night kept replaying in my head: Felicia’s story, Summer’s seducing, Kanasuki’s curiosity, and Giselle’s..... well, just Giselle. I must’ve sat on the couch and stared into space for hours, because Aisha was starting to show some concern. “Justin, you’ve been really quiet today,” she said. “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine,” I said. “Just thinking.” As I reminisced, I came back to the comment Felicia gave me. “You have very pretty eyes. You’ve never had a girl tell you that before?” As I thought about it, I realized..... no. No girl really had given me a compliment like that. But I’d charmed several girls. Maybe they just never felt the need to say it. Still. “Aisha?” I called. She looked over at me with a reflexive “nya”. I asked, “When you look at me.... what do you...... No, let me start over.” Aisha twitched her ears and curiously cocked her head to the side. “When we first met... was there anything about me that... stood out? Just curious.” Aisha was quiet for a second, then answered, “Well,... your height, I guess.” I nodded and gave an understanding “hmm” as I resumed staring at the ceiling. Then she went on, “And your eyes.” I looked back at her in surprise. “Huh? Really?” She nodded sincerely. “You have very warm and caring eyes.” I smiled not just because of my fiancé’s flattery, but also that it confirmed Felicia’s.

“What about me?” she asked. “As long as we’re on the subject.” I thought back to the first time I saw a picture of Aisha. “Your hair,” I replied. “My hair?” she asked. “It’s so long and beautiful,” I said as I got up and started running my fingers through her silvery mane. “And so soft just like a kitten.” She smiled demurely as I went on praising her. “And your ears too.” I felt them twitch as I said this. “Nya? You like my ears?” she said a little self-consciously. “Yeah, I’ve always liked them. And your tail,” I said. “In fact, there isn’t a part of you I...” I thought I was saying too much so I stopped myself. But Aisha begged me to go on. “What? What were you gonna say?” I looked into her crystal-blue eyes and spoke softly as if intoxicated by her beauty. “In fact, there isn’t a part of you I don’t like. Every time I look at you... it’s like I’m looking at a feline Venus.” Aisha looked at me dreamily and whispered, “What do you mean?” I stepped back to take in a full view of her body. “I find no flaw in you,” I whispered. Aisha looked like she was about to cry. “That has to be the sweetest thing anyone’s ever said to me.” She hugged me, kissed my cheek softly, and started to purr. Then she looked me in the eye and smiled sweetly. “I always thought you had a very nice body,” she said. I blinked in disbelief. “What? You mean..... you don’t think I’m too........ chunky?” Aisha laughed a little. “What? This?” she asked as she poked my gut. “It’s a cute little tummy. Besides, more of you to love. And more room for your heart.” I smiled as I traced the curve of her face with my fingertips. “Your cheek.” She reached up and gently grasped my fingers. “Your hands.” I caressed her arm. “Your skin.” Her hand reached up and cupped the back of my head. “Your lips.” She gave me a quick kiss. Our hands continued to wander as we exchanged admiration. “Your neck.”
“Your broad shoulders.”
“Your... um....”
“You can say it.”
“Your breasts.”
“Your arms.”
“Your waist.”
“Your chest.”
“You’re mine.”
“Nya?” I kissed Aisha passionately and dragged her onto the floor. “Ozz. Keep playing with Kida in her room. Whatever you do, don’t let her come downstairs!”

Cleveland Rocks!!
"Monster House" on the Discovery channel is one of my favorite shows. And if any of you watched last night's episode, you caught a glimpse of my home town, Cleveland TN! Well technically, it's not really my home town since I wasn't born here, but I digress. For the latest build, host Steve Watson, a Cleveland TN native (born and rasied), put together the ultimate Mother's Day present by totally renovating his mama's house. Aww, how sweet. ^_^ So, if any of you wanna catch a peek of what my town looks like in late winter or if you plan on becoming a GC (general contractor) or cabinet maker, check it out. It'll be re-aired tomorrow (Sunday the 8th) on the Discovery channel at 9 am and 4 pm.

Woo! I live in Steve Watson's home town! Woo hoo!

I'm back....... almost.
Hey guys! Artukei is back in the hizzey! Hang on.

SLAP!!

I promised myself I wouldn't talk like that again. As the title suggests, I'm almost back. I've returned, but my poor poor lappy's still sick. So no stories for probably another week or so. I know, I know what you're thinking. "Why didn't you make a backup on a hard disk, you baka?! Then we wouldn't be stuck in story limbo!" Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm stupid that way. Sorry.

Anywho, I just got in from California last night (Monday night). I had to go out to La Sierra University and see my sister's recital. She's a mezzo-soprano, which can be described as a soprano with a lower range or half-way between soprano and alto. She... was... ASTOUNDING. My sis has been singing since she could crawl, and until and few years ago sang soprano. But she always seemed to be straining certain notes. The teachers at the university noticed this and found out that all this time she was singing in the wrong range! And I thought it was just because she's my sister and is supposed to be annoying. The change in her voice over the last two years has been INCREDIBLE. It's gotten to the point where I can't recognize it anymore.

For those who aren't in the know, a recital is like a music major's final and the biggest student project of their year. They put together the whole program; every piece is personaly selected and must require a breif biography of every composer and lyric translations for the forieng songs. She pulled out all the stops when it came to language. She performed in English (of course), Italian, German, and French! And I loved every... single... one of them. I'm still wigging out over how much her voice has changed and how professional she sounded the other night. Woo! In fact, I want to share one of her songs with you which is composed by one of the greats and one of my favorites: Ludwig van Beethoven. First, I'll give you the original German text, and then the English.

"Mit einem gemalten Band"

Kleine Blumen, kleine Blatter
Streuen mir mit leichter
Gute, junge Fruhlings-Gotter
Tandelnd auf ein luftig Band.

Zephir, nimm's auf deine Flugel,
Schling's um meiner Liebsten Kleid;
Und so tritt sie vor den Spiegel
All in ihrer Munterkeit.

Sieht mit Rosen sich umgeben,
Selbst wie eine Rose jung.
Einen Blick, geliebtes Leben!
Und ich bin belohnt genug.

Fuhle, was dies Herz empfindet,
Reiche frei mir deine Hand,
Und das Band, das uns verbindet,
Sei kein schwaches Rosenband!

These poetic words touched me very deeply. I was absolutely awe-struck.

"With a painted ribbon"

Small flowers, small leaves
Hand are strewn with a light hand
by good young gods of spring
forming an airy ribbon of flowers

Zephyr, carry it upon your wings
entwine it around my beloved's dress
and thus steps she before the mirror
in all her loveliness

with roses surrounded, she herself
looks like a young rose
One glance from you, beloved one!
and I am rewarded enough,

Feel, feel, what this heart senses
give freely to me your hand
and the ribbon, which unites us,
be no fragile band of roses.

Aufweidersieng.

(I hope a spelled that right.)

T.T I'm very sad.
Sorry guys. No story today. My lappy crashed and I'm taking it in to get cleaned up while I'm gone. I, and it, should be back in about a week. Pray that no data is lost. Till then, see you in the black.
