NARUTO STORY PART SIX
above video is skillet's Rebirthing... my newest favorite song in teh whole world (very addicting song)
enjoy the comedy slipped in here...
I figured I should probably get back into the swing of things. I headed straight to where we were assigned our missions. Many people seemed surprise to see me up and about. I guess they figured that I would stay secluded from the world for a bit longer. I did what I could to hide the dragons on my palms. Later on I would buy some gloves. As I waited in line for my turn to be assigned a mission, I over heard a familiar voice up ahead, whining… loudly. Kakashi stood near the front of the line, apparently trying to ignore Naruto’s loud voice. Sakura was scolding Naruto and telling him to shut up. Sasuke stood over to the side, ignoring the whole thing. I laughed softly at what Naruto was complaining about.
“But I want a REAL ninja mission!! I don’t wanna go chasing after some old lady’s dumb cat.”
I rolled my eyes. Some days, I wished that was the kind of mission I was given. Spying and scouting missions were often given to me. Every now and then, they would send me and Riika on an assassination mission. They had quickly learned that the two of us worked at our best together. I wonder if they’ll still give me assassination missions with Riika now gone.
The whining had come to a stop. Apparently, they were now inside. Now the Hokage had to deal with the whining. Wonder how long? After about five minutes, they came out. Naruto looked please. Apparently, he got his wish. I decided to find Sasuke later and find out what went on in there.
My turn finally came. Everyone seemed shock when I walked in. Iruka stuttered a bit before he finally spoke.
“Kamija! What a surprise. We didn’t expect to see you here so soon.”
I remained silent aware that the Hokage was watching me. He turned to Iruka and the others. After some conferring, Iruka finally spoke to me.
“We understand that Riika asked you to train her trainees while she was gone.”
I nodded my head.
“We would like to ask you to continue training them. I know you’re a Chunin and not a Jounin, but right now, there are no Jounin to spare to train the youngsters. We ask that you be their sensei until we can find a permanent one for them.”
I tried not to show my annoyance. I smiled and nodded.
“I’d be happy to take the place of their sensei. Even if it is temporary.”
Iruka smiled and looked relieved.
“Well, that’s settled then.”
I bowed, then turned to leave.
“Oh, Kamija!”
I turned back. The Hokage smiled warmly at me.
“Welcome back.”
The moment I left the room, a look of annoyance immediately reigned over my face. And I agreed to this WHY???????? I sighed and looked up at the sky. It was early afternoon. After a bit of thought, I decided to start the three Genins’ training tomorrow. I headed to the market. First, I need to buy some gloves. I entered a tanner’s shop. A familiar voice greeted me.
“Kamija!! What are you doing up and about.”
I smiled as my friend, Mesínayä, ran over to me, catching me in a hug.
“Mes-chan… I.. need… air…”
Mesínayä let go of me, apologizing.
“Sorry. It’s just, I haven’t seen you around lately. I was missing your company.”
“yeah, well. I’ve been busy…”
Mesínayä led me to the cashier counter.
“So, what can I do for you?”
“I’m looking for some gloves.”
“Gloves?”
I looked down at my hands, pondering if I should show her the dragons. I stuck my hands in my pockets and lied.
“Ummm… yeah… You know, ninja missions and all, not exactly easy on the hands. Thought I should get something to cover them up. You know, try to keep them from getting ugly.”
Mesínayä grinned mischievously. “You’ve got your eye on someone.”
I glared at her. “No I don’t.”
She grinned. “Sure.” She turned and headed into the store. “Follow me.”
After an hour of convincing her that I wasn’t doing this for some guy, I finally found a pair I liked and left. Mesínayä was a good buddy, she could just be aggravating at times… and nosy. I headed for the training field, deciding to get in some training and see how well the gloves worked with me.
As I reached the field, a voice reached my ears.
“All right Lee! That’s how you do it!! Use the power of your youth!!!”
I stopped dead in my tracks. Gai. The dude always freaked me out. He was really… well… WEIRD! On top of that, he’s been trying to get me to go out with him for a while now. I quickly turned around before he noticed me.
“KAMIJA!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?”
I groaned… too late. I turned around, faking a smile.
“Hello Gai.”
“Kamija! Why don’t you join us? You’re not doing anything, are you?”
I opened my mouth to lie and try to get out of it, but he didn’t stop talking.
“Hey TenTen, Neji, Lee, look who’s here to train with us!”
All three looked up from their training to acknowledge me. Of the four, Neji and TenTen were the only ones who seemed… well.. normal. Lee adored Gai and dressed and acted just like Gai. As if one Gai wasn’t enough.
“Kamija! Why don’t you show TenTen that water jutsu you just learned.”
“I’m sorry, Gai. I’m actually busy. Love to help, but, not today.”
“Then, we can take a raincheck!”
I really needed to watch what I said.
“Heh, sure. Some other time.”
I started to walk away.
“Kamija! Wait up.”
I looked at the sky. Here it comes.
“If you’re not busy tonight…”
“Gai, I’m sorry. Not right now. Too much going on.”
“Oh, yeah. Sorry. Not exactly over your sister’s death yet?”
I decided to let that be my excuse.
“Yeah. Well, gotta go.”
With that I took off before he could say anything else. Why couldn’t the moron get a clue that I wasn’t interested in him?? I’d rather turn lesbian than go out with him. I decided I might as well head home
